Story
Meet Rocky. Saved from an overcrowded shelter in southern OH. A great dog. Rocky appears to maybe a Husky/Shepherd mix. He is about 2 years old and 50 lbs. Rocky appears to be dog friendly. We will get an idea soon on how he is with cats. He will need regular exercise and would be great as a jogging partner. Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is heart worm negative. He did test positive for Lyme but has no clinical signs. He is in doxycycline for a month as a precaution but no further treatment will be needed. His adoption fee is $180. If interested in Rocky, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. February 26, 2025, 12:35 pm

Story
Timber was transferred in from a local dog warden. He is VERY shy at first with people but does warm up very well. He loves other young dogs and follows their lead to show him how great people can be! He is okay with kids but would do better in a home with ages 10+! I think he could adjust to younger, but would be better suited for a less chaotic home at this point in life. He is very playful and does need to be with other dogs. He could run for hours with his foster dog friends! He will require a fenced in yard due to fear of leash. This is also something we are working on. He is crate trained and does very well in it. He’s not as vocal as your typical husky! He is a very loving guy once you put some time and patience into him. He stays right by your side and loves to be close to you! Give him a chance and you will be inseparable! Adoption Application: https://www.nickensfamilyrescue.com/adoptionapplication

Story
Novak was abandoned by his family at age 12. We have been fostering him for the past 3 weeks. He is so sweet and loving with humans. He loves to cuddle and be with people. He does not get along with our 2 dogs so we can’t keep him. He has lots of pep in his step. He walks well on the leash and loves to go for walks. He rides very well in the car and really enjoys it. He is husky so he tends to be a runner so a fenced in yard would probably be best unless you have the time to walk him. He is fine all day while we are at work without any problems. He doesn’t get into anything. He just needs someone to give him a forever home and lots of love.

Bella is 7 years old she has been around kids but doesn't care for my 15 month old grandson who just doesn't seem to ever leave her alone she is now nipping at him when he goes up to her she doesn't seem to be bothered by the 3 yaer old but he also doesn't go up and try to drag her around sit on her or hug her she is very vocal it's the husky in her she talks in a growl so some people think she's growling at them but it's just her talking she is completely potty trained even if she is left for a 10 hour day for me to work she is very laid back loves to just lay on your lap and relax she loves to play ball also will chase balls and bring them back sometimes don't want to give them back but eventually will

Story
Odie is a very sweet dog. He’s 4 years old and still has plenty of energy. I unfortunately had to relocate and don’t have the room for him to roam the way he deserves to. He is great with people and kids. He cannot be in a house with small pets, but he does great with bigger dogs. He is a very playful and loving dog.
