Story
WE adopted Winston from the APL almost two years ago. He is a beautiful dog, We knew nothing about where he came from only that he was rescued off the side of the highway, He is 2 years old . He would need to go to a home where the owner would be able to play with him/walk him/ train him daily , he needs lots of exercise and he would need a job to do. He is a very excited dog, jumps , he is intimidating when you first see/ meet him.

Story
This very sweet girl has beautiful blue eyes and a contagious smile. She enjoys car rides, going on adventures and absolutely loves her squeaky toys! She's hesitant around men, but just takes a while to warm up to them Xena is caged trained, but does whine when left alone while she is waiting for her favorite people to come back. She seems to get along with other dogs, but a meet and greet with family dogs is required before adopting. Xena would prefer a house without cats. This sweet girl loves to cuddle and be near you. She is very good with potty training. Xena gets nervous when people are in her face, so she'd prefer to live with older kids that understand her boundaries. Please note that she is able to climb/jump fences. If you are interested in meeting Xena, come visit her during our open hours.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet our Circus puppies! Barnum is an adorable 7 month old Husky/Pit Bull mix that was surrendered to us along with his sister, Bailey, as the previous owner didn't have the funds to be able to care for them. Barnum is a playful, active puppy who loves everyone he meets! He adores other dogs, and will romp and wrestle with them for hours on end. He's interested in the resident cats in his foster home, but is gentle and respectful of them. He's good at occupying himself if necessary, and will quietly chew on bones during downtime. He's also very sweet and cuddly, and when it's time for naps, he loves to snuggle with people and other animals.Barnum is a smart boy and learned sit and lay down in only a couple of days! He knows his name, and his recall gets better each day. He's working on house and crate training, and doing well with both. However, he's still learning, so his family will need to be prepared to continue to work with him on puppy basics.Barnum's a great little pup that would be a wonderful addition to just about any household! He greatly enjoys the company of other dogs, and would do best with another playful pup in his forever home.Barnum is 7 months old, currently 50 lbs, and we guesstimate that he'll be around 60 lbs or so when fully grown. He's neutered, up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $450.  Please click here to submit an adoption application!  If you'd like any additional information, please email us at newleashrescue@gmail.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 24, 2023, 3:51 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet our Circus puppies! Bailey is an adorable 7 month old Husky/Pit Bull mix that was surrendered to us along with her brother, Barnum, as the previous owner didn't have the funds to be able to care for them. Bailey is a typical puppy; she's sweet, happy, playful, cuddly, and loves everyone she meets! She's a smart girl, and quickly learned sit as well as off. She can be a little vocal in her kennel or when she's playing; a nod to her Husky heritage! She's working on house and crate training, and is doing pretty well with both. However, she's still learning, so her new family will have to be prepared to continue to work with her on puppy basics. She absolutely adores other dogs, and appears to take a lot of comfort from their company. Because of this, we would prefer her to go to a forever home where she will have a doggy playmate and companion. She is playful towards the resident cat, but is relatively easy to redirect if needed. While she loves to rough house with the other dogs, Bailey is also good at entertaining herself by quietly chewing on a toy. She loves to cuddle when she sleeps, and will curl up on you like a cat, or tuck herself in alongside you and spoon. She's a sweet little pup that will make a great addition to just about any home! Bailey is 7 months old, currently 35 lbs, and we guesstimate that she'll be around 45 lbs or so when fully grown. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Her adoption fee is $450.  Please click here to submit an adoption application!  If you'd like any additional information, please email us at newleashrescue@gmail.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 24, 2023, 3:51 pm

Story
Kenai is about 6 years old, he is a laid back boy for the most part. He was rescued from a shelter 3 years ago and showed signs of abuse and can still be timid at times. He loves toys and he loves to lay up and cuddle. Kenai loves other dogs and anyone he meets. Although he does like to hump to assert his dominance, a pair of underwear is usually enough to discourage him. He has been around cats, I wouldn’t completely trust him but he does okay at ignoring them. He was recently adopted but then returned due to his destructive behavior and being overly stressed. His new family should be ready for a lot of protesting and some destruction, so a yard is something his new family must have. Once he settles and adjusts to a new person and environment, he is the sweetest most well behaved husky you’ll meet. Kenai just needs to time and commitment as well as a lot of love. Also, he gives hugs!

COURTESY POST: Sweet Jax is in need of a new home.  Jax will be 2 in March and in January of 2022, Jax had to have hip surgery.  He's in the clear now according to OSU but he has pent up puppy energy now and needs someone who can handle his exuberance.  Jax is fully vetted, crate trained, basic training but does seem to lift his leg on occasion.  Jax currently lives with another male dog, cats and 2 very young girls. Jax would benefit from a home with either current or proven prior Husky experience and a fence IS A MUST for this boy!  Kids over 6 please as they scare him and he cries.   He needs to be able to be a "puppy"!  For more information, please email us at forgetmenot_animalrescue@yahoo.com and we will be happy to answer your questions or hook you up with his owner. May 16, 2023, 12:13 am
