Update: Ghost has his forever home! Ghost needs a fenced in yard to run and play. Ghost is approximately 2 years old. He is a beautiful Siberian Husky weighing 40 lbs. Ghost was found as a stray. Love-A-Stray had him neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the Avon Lake Animal Clinic. Ghost's foster said he is really a wonderful dog! He is housebroken and knows a few basic commands. His foster has offered to take Ghost to obedience training. He is dog friendly, but cats are unknown, so a cat-less home is best. Ghost has dark ice-blue eyes, and he often looks like he is smiling when taking a walk--he LOVES to go for trail walks and does well on lead. Ghost also loves to ride in the car. He is a pleaser and thrives on praise and is very trainable. We always suggest adopters are familiar with the Husky. A fenced in yard is a must for this active breed and a really good vacuum cleaner since they do shed LOL. If you are interested in Ghost, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Ghost would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $.200.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Box 125, Attn: Ghost, Avon Lake, OH 44012 or visit www.loveastraydog.com for credit card/PayPal information, adoption application, available dogs and upcoming events. Thank you!

Tundra has been so patient waiting for her forever home! Tundra is a perfect age and size! At 6 years old and 35 lbs, she's past the pesky puppy phase and a perfect cuddle size. She's either a petite husky or a pomsky. Tundra is great with dogs of all sizes and she loves doggie daycare! She certainly came out of her shell since we first got her. Tundra would love some canine friends to frolic with. Email us at therescueinn@gmail.com for more info and put in an adoption application here: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Looking for a loving home for a wonderful dog. He would do best with an active person or family who can give him plenty of exercise and long walks. He loves to run and play, but off-leash he may get distracted and chase things like squirrels. He is energetic and friendly. He gets along with some dogs, especially female dogs. With cats he is too playful and active and will not leave them alone, so a home without cats would be best. He does well with children, but it would be better if they are not very small, because he is energetic and can accidentally knock them over while playing. He is smart, loves people, and would make a great companion for someone with an active lifestyle.

Story
Freddy is a 3 year-old male Husky mix. Freddy came in with his brother Draco, but he is not good with other animals and will need to be the only animal in his home. He loves his toys, and his playful spirit will keep you entertained for hours! Freddy walks very well on a leash, and even better on a harness! He likes going on walks, but he will need to stop you a couple times because petting him is more important than anything else. Freddy is a very simple dog who knows what he wants in life, spray cheese, blankets, and a loving home. He isn't very photogenic, but we swear he is even cuter in person. If you don't believe us come check him out yourself! Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
