Story
Looking for a loving home for a wonderful dog. He would do best with an active person or family who can give him plenty of exercise and long walks. He loves to run and play, but off-leash he may get distracted and chase things like squirrels. He is energetic and friendly. He gets along with some dogs, especially female dogs. With cats he is too playful and active and will not leave them alone, so a home without cats would be best. He does well with children, but it would be better if they are not very small, because he is energetic and can accidentally knock them over while playing. He is smart, loves people, and would make a great companion for someone with an active lifestyle.

Story
Our sweet husky Akira is looking for a home to retire. Estimated to be around 8 years old, Akira is a mature lady and pretty easy-going. She can be silly and playful at times, but has overall gentle, easy-going and low-key when out and about with volunteers. She would love to spend her silver years in the comfort of a home rather than a busy kennel.Akira`s ideal day would include a nice stroll, a bit of play time, and then time to chill. Akira has a bright, curious mind and enjoys exploring and sniffing on walks. She also has fun bopping around our fenced-in play yards. She has been friendly towards other dogs through fences or in passing, and was gently social for her play group assessment. Akira seems a little confused and stressed out about how she ended up in a kennel, and like she was accustomed to a home environment. She consistently keeps her space clean, so we believe she is housebroken, and she knows how to sit and give paw. Akira has some classic husky traits, such as singing the song of her people (aka, serenading us with howls). She can also be independent and doesn`t mind doing her own thing, but is also sweet when interacting with other people. Akira weighs 55 lbs. She is hoping a husky-lover will give her a chance! Story
Freddy is a 3 year-old male Husky mix. Freddy came in with his brother Draco, but he is not good with other animals and will need to be the only animal in his home. He loves his toys, and his playful spirit will keep you entertained for hours! Freddy walks very well on a leash, and even better on a harness! He likes going on walks, but he will need to stop you a couple times because petting him is more important than anything else. Freddy is a very simple dog who knows what he wants in life, spray cheese, blankets, and a loving home. He isn't very photogenic, but we swear he is even cuter in person. If you don't believe us come check him out yourself! Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Story
Draco is a 2 yr old Male Husky. He is very friendly. But does not do well with other animals. He was adopted and returned due to not being housebroken. Draco is probably one of the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. He would need a home without other animals and would need training on the housebreaking and basic manners. Draco is the most affectionate boy there is, he will sit at your feet forever as long as you are rubbing his belly or rubbing his ears. He looks as if he is always smiling. Draco has 2 favorite squeaky pig toys that he likes to carry around. Come in and meet this handsome always smiling boy today.
