Story
Bingo / Female Spayed / 11 Months / Northern Mix / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes / Location: Burlington 📍 Bingo is ready to find her forever family! This sweet young girl is officially searching for a place to call home. Bingo became a mom while she was still just a puppy herself, and now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled, loved, and cherished. Don’t mind her scruffy hairdo! Much like humans, dogs can experience postpartum hair loss. We expect Bingo to fluff up a bit as she continues to recover from raising her puppies. Bingo is a playful, affectionate dog who loves toys, especially anything with a squeaker! She enjoys car rides, walks, adventures, and spending time with her people. Like any young dog, she’s full of energy and always ready for fun, whether that’s playing with her toys or wrestling with her canine friends. Because Bingo is an active girl, she would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and companionship. She loves being with her people and would do best with someone home often. Bingo walks beautifully on leash and is highly food motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training and learning new skills. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes and can live with dog savvy cats. While she occasionally can’t resist a chase, she has no intention of harming them. Bingo came to us from Attawapiskat, where life is very different from what she experiences now. We don’t know everything she’s been through in her short life, so new people and situations can sometimes make her a little nervous at first. However, with patience and reassurance, she settles in nicely and quickly shows her sweet, loving nature. She is crate trained and does well when left alone, though she may protest briefly before settling down. At the end of the day, Bingo is truly a people dog who would be happiest simply spending her days by your side, whether you’re out exploring or relaxing at home. ❤️ If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy and best friend, Bingo may be the perfect match. Story
Briar / Female / 3 months / 12 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Children /Good with Cats / From Manitoba / Fostered in Toronto Meet Briar! Briar is a little miracle. She wandered out of the forests of Northern Manitoba as a sweet, affectionate puppy, and after a bath and a week to settle into foster care, she's thriving. Now this little angel is looking for the perfect family to grow up with. We don’t like to throw around words like "perfect" lightly here, but Briar has been described by her foster caretaker as the perfect puppy. She’s adorable, which is typical for puppies her age, but she’s also smart. She's already mastered potty training and learned to sit on command. She knows when it's time to play with the other dogs, when to simply walk by, and that the cat is off-limits. She may have swiped a snack from the table once, but after being corrected, she hasn't tried it again. Crate training is going well, too. Briar usually settles after a few minutes and sleeps through the night, only giving a few gentle morning whines when she needs to go outside. She’s playful, confident, and adventurous. She loves to explore, but she won’t go too far without first checking in with her handler. She walks nicely without pulling too far ahead. Like any 3-month-old puppy, everything is new to Briar. She sometimes takes a moment to figure things out, but with a little encouragement (and maybe a few treats), she tackles each new challenge with confidence. Even though Briar might be the perfect pup, that doesn’t mean she’ll be perfect for you. As a suspected Husky/Shepherd mix, Briar is likely to grow into a large, energetic dog. She'll thrive with an active family that's committed to giving her plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation, whether that's a fenced yard or regular adventures. Of course, a Husky/Shepherd mix also means plenty of fluff. When the seasons change, expect enough shedding to knit another puppy. Regular brushing will be your friend, with the occasional grooming appointment helping to keep things under control. As far as we’re concerned, it doesn’t get any better than Briar. She has all the makings of an incredible lifelong companion: smart, affectionate, adventurous, and eager to learn. If your family is ready to welcome a lovable puppy and all the fun that comes with raising one, Briar is waiting to meet you. As a condition of the adoption contract, Briar’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit - Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required). - Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage. - Spay/neuter within 6 months of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the spay/neuter will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Briar, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Briar's adoption fee is $1000. Wren / Female / 3 months / 13 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Dog Savvy Kids / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba/ Fostered in Toronto **Follow Wren’s journey on Instagram: @benjisbuddys Meet Wren! Wren's foster describes her as "an angel," and it's easy to see why. Confident, curious, and endlessly affectionate, Wren is the kind of puppy who greets every day as a new adventure. Wren and her sister, Lottie, were found as strays and surrendered to our rescue partners in northern Manitoba. Since arriving in foster care, Wren has blossomed into a playful, social puppy who loves people, other dogs, and discovering the world around her. Whether she's wrestling with her foster brother, exploring the backyard, working on a lick mat, or proudly carrying around her favourite toy, Wren is happiest when she's busy. She's incredibly curious, loves to learn, and isn't easily fazed by new sights or sounds. When playtime winds down, she's more than happy to curl up for cuddles and hand out puppy kisses. Her signature Bambi-like hops and habit of sleeping with all four paws in the air are guaranteed to make you smile. Wren is friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets. She has done well with respectful, dog-savvy children and would thrive in an active family committed to continuing her training and socialization. A home with another playful, well-balanced dog would be ideal. Wren absolutely loves other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion to play with and learn from. Like any puppy, Wren is still learning. She is making wonderful progress with house training, already knows "sit," is learning additional commands, and walks beautifully on leash for her age. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is gradually building confidence when left alone. Her new family should be prepared to continue working on puppy manners, appropriate chewing, and independence using positive reinforcement. Wren enjoys daily walks, enrichment activities, and interactive play to keep both her body and mind busy. She rides well in the car, can likely live with a dog-savvy cat after proper introductions, and has an umbilical hernia that will continue to be monitored by the rescue. Above all, Wren is a joyful, loving puppy with a heart as big as her personality. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy and cuddle companion, Wren is ready to steal your heart. As a condition of the adoption contract, Wren’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. Lottie / Female / 3 months / 12 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Untested with Children / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba / Fostered in Toronto **Follow Lottie’s journey on Instagram: @murphsfosterpups Meet Lottie! This little ball of fur came to us from Manitoba with her sister, Wren. Lottie’s fosters describe her as curious, playful, friendly and full of spunk! If you are looking for a young pup who is ready to learn all about the world and become the best companion, Lottie is your gal. In true puppy fashion Lottie loves to explore and stay busy. You will find her playing with and chewing on toys, running around and exploring outside, or staring at her humans with the best puppy dog eyes and big ears. She is very affectionate, but not big on cuddles. Lottie seems to be comfortable and confident with independent play for her age. She loves puzzles and enrichment to stimulate her clever brain. After only a short time Lottie has learned so much. She is potty trained and crate trained. She is still working on her manners and learning what life is like within a home. Lottie will require a lot of time and patience as she continues developing her skills, especially while she teethes and learns what is and is not allowed. Lottie is a dream on walks. She enjoys sniffing her way through the neighbourhood and does not show signs of fear at other people or sounds. Lottie does have the support of her foster's resident dog who is helping show her the way. Lottie would make a great addition to a family with another dog as long as they can handle all her puppy antics. Lottie has not met children, but given her age and demeanor we think she will do well with respectful dog-savvy kids. With her breed, Lottie has the potential to grow a lot and become quite furry. She is looking for an active family in a home with a yard, or access to greenspace nearby. She will likely require frequent brushing as the seasons change as well. Lottie will make an amazing addition to any family. Her curious, silly, spunky personality shines through and her love of learning will make the chaos of puppy raising so much fun! As a condition of the adoption contract, Lottie’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. AGE: 5-6 yearsSEX: FemaleBREED: Husky MixENERGY LEVEL: MediumDOG FRIENDLY: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep!KID FRIENDLY?: Yep!FOSTER IG: @2whiskers.1woofMeet Keeta! This sweet, happy girl has a quiet charm that makes everyone who meets her fall in love. She has a gentle way of asking for affection, often sitting in front of you with a big smile on her face while silently requesting pets. Keeta adores attention and will happily headbutt you for more love, roll onto her back for belly rubs, or wiggle around on the carpet to scratch an itch. While she enjoys her daily adventures and loves going wherever her people go, she's also wonderfully independent and is just as content napping across the room while you go about your day. Keeta loves her walks, enjoys watching squirrels from afar, and is a big fan of Dentastix, cheese, and other delightfully stinky treats.Keeta is house trained, does well when left home alone, and is an incredibly well-mannered companion. She's friendly when meeting new people and has calmly welcomed guests into the home. She currently lives with cats and coexists beautifully with them, generally ignoring one another as long as they respect her space and don't get too much in her face. Keeta is also dog friendly and has calm, neutral greetings with dogs on walks. She tends to prefer smaller dogs and appreciates companions who are polite and respectful. She's met children and done well with them, though she can become overwhelmed if lots of kids are all giving her attention at once. Keeta isn't bothered by traffic or city sounds and would likely adjust well to a busier neighbourhood. On walks, Keeta does have a prey drive and may try to chase after small animals. She generally enjoys two to three walks a day, typically lasting 15-30 minutes each, and her foster has noticed her energy and enthusiasm continuing to grow. Keeta is also a bit of a foodie - although a surprisingly picky one! She knows exactly what she likes and isn't afraid to turn her nose up at treats that don't meet her standards.Keeta is currently overweight and is working hard on her health journey. She is on a strict diet that will need to be maintained in her adoptive home, and her healthy weight is estimated to be around 50-55 pounds. As she continues reaching her goals, she's gaining even more energy and confidence each day. Keeta is a truly special dog with so much love to give, and whoever welcomes her into their family will be very lucky. With continued support and commitment to her health and wellbeing, Keeta is sure to thrive!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Keeta?
