Story
Hello! My name is Bentley!Do you love Canadian winters? Are you ecstatic when there is a huge snowfall? Do you love rolling around in the snow making snow-dogs? Meee too! If you love being outside in the snow, I`m your guy! If you don`t, maybe I can enjoy the snow in the yard while you watch and smile from the window. I am sensitive about handling, particularly of my paws. I am looking for humans who will be patient with me and put in some effort to help me feel more comfy with handling so it`s not so stressful. I am strong and do pull on leash so my humans should be comfortable walking a strong doggo. I`m a super friendly guy and will enthusiastically greet new people. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok but no young children given I have some handling sensitivities.OTHER DOGS: Yes, a friendly dog who isn’t too exuberant would be fine.CATS: Potentially, I’ve never lived with a cat before but didn’t seem too worked up when I saw one through the window at GHS. If you have a cat, they should have experience living with big dogs and not hiding or running.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has some dog experience or husky knowledge.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, though my previous owners found it hard to meet my energy needs in an apartment building and felt having a space to run was helpful to getting my energy out.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, though I may not be best suited for a home where the humans are gone for a full work day.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium. HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

AGE: 2 Years SEX: Female BREED: Husky Mix ENERGY LEVEL: High DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Maybe! KID FRIENDLY?: Older, dog-savvy kids only! Meet Autumn! Autumn is a playful, fun-loving girl who enjoys long walks and is always eager for new adventures. She loves making new dog friends, soaking up belly rubs, and is a huge fan of her toys - she’ll happily grab the nearest one to chew on and would be delighted if you tossed it for her to chase! Autumn is a happy, social pup who enjoys meeting both people and other dogs. She has welcomed guests into the home with ease, giving them space and respect, yet always excited to greet them warmly. While she enjoys canine companionship and currently lives with another dog, Autumn does best with slow, calm introductions when meeting new dogs, allowing her to settle in and build positive connections at her own pace. Once comfortable, she’s playful, friendly, and loves spending her days playing and hanging out, though she is just as content to settle down afterward. She’s very food motivated, which makes training a breeze! Puzzle toys are a big hit with her and are a great way to channel her energy and keep her mind busy. While she can be a bit strong on the leash, she and her fosters recently worked with a trainer, and she’s making excellent progress. She’s also kid and cat friendly, and would be thrilled to share her home with dogs, cats, and children. Autumn currently lives downtown and does well in that environment, but she would be just as happy living outside the hustle and bustle with some extra room to run! She is both crate and house trained and settles within minutes when left alone. She loves being near her people and, although not overly snuggly, she enjoys affection on her own terms. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion to join you on your daily adventures, Autumn might be the perfect match! Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Autumn? Story
AGE: 2 Years SEX: Female BREED: Husky Mix ENERGY LEVEL: Medium DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep! KID FRIENDLY?: Yep! Meet Misty! This loving, affectionate girl is a true people-lover who wins hearts everywhere she goes. She adores snuggling, gives plenty of kisses, and will gently paw your arm when she’s asking for more pets. Misty enjoys being outside exploring and taking in her surroundings, and she isn’t bothered by traffic or loud sounds. She has a playful side too; she likes to play wrestle and has a mischievous streak that sometimes includes stealing socks or slippers. Misty gets along well with both cats and dogs and has met children of various ages, doing beautifully with them thanks to her gentle nature. She’s house trained, has mastered sit, and is doing great with her crate training - sleeping soundly through the night and settling after a brief whine when left alone. She loves everyone she meets and does well with visitors, happily soaking up attention. While she can sometimes get a little excited and jump up, she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. On walks, Misty does have a prey drive toward small animals and can be reactive toward other dogs on leash, so continued training and support will help her build calm, confident skills. She can also be a bit vocal at times. In multi-dog homes, it’s important that she has her own food, toys, and bed, as she can be possessive of her belongings. With structure, guidance, and plenty of affection, Misty will thrive. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who loves deeply and bonds closely with her people, Misty may be the perfect match! Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Misty? Story
Junior here -- I am a Lover! I am affectionate, give kisses & roll over for tummy rubs! I am such a good natured, engaging 7-month old Husky puppy. I am friendly with people, gentle & respectful of small dogs, & love to romp & play with larger dogs in the back yard.. I am healthy, intelligent, & learn quickly. Also, I am house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, crate trained, obedient, & respond to the commands for come, sit, go lay down, leave it, & crate. I ride quietly tethered in the backseat of the car & often nap.. I would love to find a furever home where I'm a treasured member of an active family. Currently, I enjoy a home with a fenced backyard where I can play. I like balls & stuffies, but don't destroy them. I'm respectful & do not destroy or chew on furniture. Some experience with active young dogs may be helpful. There is a nasty rumour going around that the Husky breed is difficult, like some of those other bigger breed dogs! That's totally not true! Come & see me! Interested? Please contact Sue: sgaskell63@gmail.com. Adoption fee: $800.00
