Story
Hello! My name is Bentley!Do you love Canadian winters? Are you ecstatic when there is a huge snowfall? Do you love rolling around in the snow making snow-dogs? Meee too! If you love being outside in the snow, I`m your guy! If you don`t, maybe I can enjoy the snow in the yard while you watch and smile from the window. I am sensitive about handling, particularly of my paws. I am looking for humans who will be patient with me and put in some effort to help me feel more comfy with handling so it`s not so stressful. I am strong and do pull on leash so my humans should be comfortable walking a strong doggo. I`m a super friendly guy and will enthusiastically greet new people. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok but no young children given I have some handling sensitivities.OTHER DOGS: Yes, a friendly dog who isn’t too exuberant would be fine.CATS: Potentially, I’ve never lived with a cat before but didn’t seem too worked up when I saw one through the window at GHS. If you have a cat, they should have experience living with big dogs and not hiding or running.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has some dog experience or husky knowledge.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, though my previous owners found it hard to meet my energy needs in an apartment building and felt having a space to run was helpful to getting my energy out.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, though I may not be best suited for a home where the humans are gone for a full work day.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium. HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Story
I am looking to rehome Speedy, who has been with me for 11 years. I love this dog with all my heart but changes in personal circumstances does not allow me to give her the care that she deserve. Despite her age, she is very health and enjoys long walks and jogs.

Story
I rescued Luffy from a vet clinic in Toronto, Ontario. I have raised him since he was a puppy and he has been with me for over 9 years. He overcame a leg injury inflicted upon him by his previous owner, and was subsequently abandoned. Despite that, he is incredibly friendly with people (including kids). He is very healthy and active for his age. In cool weather, he can go on 8 km walks with no issues.

Story
AGE: 2 Years SEX: Female BREED: Husky Mix ENERGY LEVEL: High DOG FRIENDLY?: Maybe, dog selective and slow intros needed CAT FRIENDLY?: Maybe! KID FRIENDLY?: Older, dog-savvy kids only! Meet Autumn! Autumn is a playful, fun-loving girl who enjoys long walks and is always eager for new adventures. She loves soaking up belly rubs and is a huge fan of her toys - she’ll happily grab the nearest one to chew on and would be delighted if you tossed it for her to chase! She’s an active, joyful companion who brings enthusiasm and curiosity to her daily life. Autumn is a people-loving pup who does wonderfully meeting new humans. She welcomes guests into the home with ease, giving them space and respect while still offering warm, happy greetings. She’s very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, and puzzle toys are a big hit for keeping her mind busy. She is both house and crate trained and settles within minutes when left alone. Autumn currently lives in the city and does well in that environment, though she would also be happy in a quieter home with some extra space to run. She loves being near her people and, while not overly snuggly, enjoys affection on her own terms. When it comes to other dogs, Autumn is more selective and benefits from slow, calm introductions. She can be reactive toward dogs on leash and will need continued training and support in this area. While she and her fosters have worked on leash pulling and made good progress, building her confidence around other dogs will be an important next step. With patience, guidance, and consistency, Autumn has great potential to continue improving. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion who’s ready to grow with the right support, Autumn might be the perfect match! Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Autumn?
