Story
Currently fostered in Texas ****Scout needs a experienced adapter. Please read bio in full. **** Scout was trapped and rescued as a feral stray. She is approximately two years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. She looks like a mini husky. Her coat is gorgeous and so soft . She has come a long way in the short time we have had her and I know she will only blossom from here. We took her to a rescue friendly groomer who cut her matts out, gave her a bath, a brush out and half a blow dry before she was kind of over that. She was very scared of the trimers . Scout is still weary of humans but never ever aggressive. She comes around faster to women than men but that is pretty typical. She is great with all dogs and loves to play, she is submissive and listens very well to the Chihuahuas, however, she also needs a play partner that will rough house with her and run with her. She cannot be the only dog. Although we think she is part husky, she is not very vocal . She absolutely needs a well fenced in yard. She does not walk on leash and harness. When she first arrives she is going to be scared and look for places in the yard to get out , this will only last a day or two but she is absolutely not to be left outside alone for the 1st week. She acclimate very quickly and we’ll get used to her new home and environment and doggy friends fast. She seems ok with the cats but may try and chase them if they are running. She does not come to people, she will not willing come up for pets or cuddles. She does not like being picked up. That being said once you kind of cornered her in her little bed area she will allow you to pick her up but squirms a lot to get down. So this should never be done outdoors without a leash and harness. You cannot pick her up and take her to the car without a leash and harness on because if she squirm hard and gets down, she will runoff and you will not catch her. She needs a home where someone will just let her be for a couple weeks until she gets more used to you. She needs access to a very well fenced in backyard and a home where she can flourish, be loved and play with her dog friends. She should really not be taken out of that environment until she is more used to you and trusts you. This is not a dog you can take out to lunch or a farmers market. She is a cat dog. She loves toys and she does love following you around and has interest in being friendly with her humans. She even gives me a little kisses on the back of my leg when I am doing office work for chores. She also nudges me with her nose, she follows me everywhere. She still does not let me touch her without cornering her. Once she is in her little pen curled up in her bed I go in and sit with her and softly give her pets and kisses. Her body is starting to relax little by little with each day. She loves being in a home and she is very happy she is just not ready to be “mans best friend” yet. I think for her this has to be earned and I am fairly certain, once she does decide to love you, she will love hard and loyal. She does not eat a lot of kibble and tends to be picky with the wet food. We feed her canned food mixed with kibbles with chicken and cheese on top to entice her 🙂 She has had three names before settling on Scout so her paperwork has a few names on there . Birdie , Kai Kai and Scout . As a weird, sidenote, she sleeps in a large toddler pen that she can jump out of, but doesn’t. She will sleep in a kennel however, every time I have tried to put her in a large kennel she goes to the bathroom in it , which is odd considering I sleep all of 5 hours a day. where as I put her in the puppy pen with a bed on one side and her pee pad on the other even though the pee pad is there she never goes to the bathroom in the puppy/toddler pen I will send photos of set up . She also is not destructive . But has a little mischief in her . 🙂 like a fox

Story
My name is Bandit. I am a very sweet boy who loves lots of petting. I`m up for adoption because my human sibling is a toddler and she causes me lots of anxiety. I need a home without any young children. I love other dogs! I would thrive in a home with another dog for me to play with every day. I love to go for long walks. I am house trained. I don`t jump on the furniture. I`m just great! I need a home with lots of love, attention and pets. I am neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and needles up to date. Please just love and pet me.

AGE: 5 WeeksSEX: 2 Females & 6 MalesBREED: Northern MixENERGY LEVEL: Likely Medium to HighDOG FRIENDLY?: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep!KID FRIENDLY?: Yep!Meet Libby’s puppies! They are typical young puppies. They are currently living with their littermates and their mom, Libby. At this age, they spend most of their days napping and eating but in a few short weeks, they will become playful little beans. As with all young pups, they will need to work on crate training as well as potty training once they are a bit older. They also will need support with leash walking once they are old enough! Libby is approximately 45-50 lbs and we expect these pups to be medium-large once fully grown.Their ideal home would be with a committed family that will provide continuous, consistent training to ensure these puppies thrive. They will need an active family that can give them 1-2 hours of exercise and walks per day. They would be happy to share their home with another pup and although they haven’t had any exposure to cats or children, they are at a young enough age that they would most likely adapt well to an environment with dog-savvy kids or kitties!*Although we are accepting applications now, please note the puppies will need to stay in foster care until they are 8-9 weeks old. We are not currently matching specific puppies but you may specify your preferred puppy on your application. Puppies will be spayed/neutered and get their first vaccination at 8 weeks.Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for one of Libby’s Puppies? Apply now!https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt**Please check out our website for more information including the puppies' names and sexes. https://newcollar.co/libbys-puppies

Story
Junior here -- Mom calls me Lover Boy! I am affectionate, give kisses & roll over for tummy rubs! I am such a good natured, engaging 7-month old Husky puppy. I show good house manners (no counter surfing or destruction) am friendly with people, gentle & respectful of small dogs, & love to romp & play with larger dogs in the back yard.. I am healthy, intelligent, & learn quickly. Also, I am house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, crate trained, obedient, & respond to the commands for come, sit, go lay down, leave it, & crate. I ride quietly tethered in the backseat of the car & often nap.. I would love to find a furever home where I'm a treasured member of an active family. Currently, I enjoy a home with a fenced backyard where I can play. I like balls & stuffies, but don't destroy them. I'm respectful & do not destroy or chew on furniture. Some experience with active young dogs may be helpful. Interested? Please contact Sue: sgaskell63@gmail.com. Adoption fee: $700.00

Story
Petra | 2 yrs | Female | 46 lbs | Spayed | Dogs - Yes | Cats - Unknown | Kids - Yes | Husky Mix | House / Crate trained Meet Petra ❣️ If you’re looking for a fun-loving girl who will keep you smiling every single day, Petra might just be your perfect match! Petra was flown down from Manitoba. She has spent her entire life simply trying to survive, scrounging for food, fending for herself, and even enduring the devastating wildfires. When our friends at Save A Dog Network Canada reached out asking for help, we didn't hesitate. Petra has been in foster care and is now ready to find her furever home❣️ Petra is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She’s never had an accident in her foster home and settles nicely in her crate (with a little encouragement and a treat or two 😉). She may give a short whine at first, but she quickly relaxes especially once she knows it’s bedtime. This sweet girl is great with dogs and absolutely loves to play. She’s the kind of pup who flies in like she’s first in line at the ice cream truck all excitement and pure joy! She’s also wonderful with kids. Petra is full of personality. She’s energetic, vocal, and always ready to go. She thrives when she’s mentally stimulated and close to her people. She loves chew toys, squeakers, chasing a ball. But when the zoomies are done? She transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug. Petra gives the most heartwarming cuddles and will happily curl up beside you. Her little elf-like ears and the way she sits with one leg off to the side will absolutely melt your heart. If you think Pedra could be the missing piece in your home, apply to adopt through Backstreet Paws Rescue.

Story
Hoonah & Kunik Fostered in London, ON Both Spayed & vaccinated & microchipped Adoption fee: To be discussed Both 10 year old retired sled dogs Double the dogs, double the love… and yes—double the singing Hoonah & Kunik are a bonded pair of sweet, friendly girls who are truly the best of friends. They do everything together and don’t like to be apart, so they’re looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side. These girls are total lovebugs with people—no fear, no aggression, just instant friendship. Kunik is the confident “boss” who keeps things in check, while Hoonah is a little more laid back… unless you wake her up at night—then she has opinions. At home, they’re professional loungers, they love couches, beds, pillows—you name it. They enjoy cuddling with their humans but are also happy relaxing on their own. Backyard time is a work in progress, but they’re getting more comfortable every day (and yes… they do like to dig!). They’re also just starting to discover toys and learning how fun playtime can be. They LOVE their walks and get very excited to go out—Hoonah is already learning to walk nicely, while Kunik is still working on the “no pulling” concept. One good morning walk helps them settle for the day, with an evening walk as a bonus. They also enjoy car rides and are great passengers They’ve met other dogs and have been friendly and playful with everyone so far Hoonah & Kunik are mostly house trained, though they don’t always let you know when they need to go out. They had a few accidents at first but have been doing well recently. They can be a little anxious when left alone, especially in new environments, and may get a bit destructive—so crate time is recommended when you’re away (though they’re still learning to love their crates). They’re also a bit picky with food and prefer kibble with some wet food or a topper—Kunik definitely has the bigger appetite of the two They know their names and basic commands like sit, stay, and down, and their recall is improving every day And of course… their signature move: daily duet sessions, They like to “sing” together a couple times a day. It doesn’t last long, but it’s worth noting—they may not be the best fit for apartment living! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, slightly goofy duo who will fill your home with love (and a little music), Hoonah & Kunik are ready to meet you!
