This incredibly affectionate, playful girl is full of love and personality. She adores being close to her people and will gently ask for attention - sometimes resting her paws on you and placing her head on your desk while you work. Valerie loves physical affection, especially head and chin scratches and belly rubs, and her loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion. She’s always up for fun, whether it’s playing ball, exploring the outdoors, or happily sniffing her way through a walk. She also loves watching birds and squirrels in the backyard and will eagerly chase anything that moves, even a leaf!Valerie is fantastic with kids of all ages and truly thrives in a family environment. She’s wonderful with guests, quickly warming up after a quick sniff and then happily soaking up pets and joining in on playtime. She’s house trained and does great in her crate overnight, as well as when left home alone. Valerie enjoys her routines and comforts, including her favourite dental sticks, and is settling nicely into home life, showing just how sweet and loving she is.On walks, Valerie can get very excited when she sees other dogs, which may come out as barking or whining - likely because she wants to go say hello. She may also bark at runners and tends to pull toward small animals due to her strong interest in them. As she continues to settle in, she has started to become a bit more vocal indoors as well. With continued guidance and training, Valerie will build great skills and confidence. With her loving heart, playful energy, and deep loyalty, Valerie will make a devoted and joyful companion. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate dog who loves being part of the family, Valerie may be the perfect match!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Valerie? Story
Petra | 2 yrs | Female | 46 lbs | Spayed | Dogs - Yes | Cats - Unknown | Kids - Yes | Husky Mix | House / Crate trained Meet Petra ❣️ If you’re looking for a fun-loving girl who will keep you smiling every single day, Petra might just be your perfect match! Petra was flown down from Manitoba. She has spent her entire life simply trying to survive, scrounging for food, fending for herself, and even enduring the devastating wildfires. When our friends at Save A Dog Network Canada reached out asking for help, we didn't hesitate. Petra has been in foster care and is now ready to find her furever home❣️ Petra is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She’s never had an accident in her foster home and settles nicely in her crate (with a little encouragement and a treat or two 😉). She may give a short whine at first, but she quickly relaxes especially once she knows it’s bedtime. This sweet girl is great with dogs and absolutely loves to play. She’s the kind of pup who flies in like she’s first in line at the ice cream truck all excitement and pure joy! She’s also wonderful with kids. Petra is full of personality. She’s energetic, vocal, and always ready to go. She thrives when she’s mentally stimulated and close to her people. She loves chew toys, squeakers, chasing a ball. But when the zoomies are done? She transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug. Petra gives the most heartwarming cuddles and will happily curl up beside you. Her little elf-like ears and the way she sits with one leg off to the side will absolutely melt your heart. If you think Pedra could be the missing piece in your home, apply to adopt through Backstreet Paws Rescue.

Story
My name is Bandit. I am a very sweet boy who loves lots of petting. I`m up for adoption because my human sibling is a toddler and she causes me lots of anxiety. I need a home without any young children. I love other dogs! I would thrive in a home with another dog for me to play with every day. I love to go for long walks. I am house trained. I don`t jump on the furniture. I`m just great! I need a home with lots of love, attention and pets. I am neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and needles up to date. Please just love and pet me.

Story
FOR ADOPTION in Southern Ontario: Meet Bobo, a goofy, affectionate 1–2 year old Husky mix weighing approximately 45 lbs, with a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart. Bobo’s story is one we sadly see far too often. After finding himself in the shelter system not once, but twice, he was reclaimed the first time, but heartbreakingly, no one came back for him the second. With shelters across Ontario beyond capacity, Bobo soon found himself placed on the euthanasia list simply due to lack of space. But Bobo made an impression on everyone he met. Shelter staff absolutely adored him and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to advocate for him and secure rescue placement before his deadline. Thankfully, an incredible foster stepped up for him and his second chance officially began. Since entering foster care, Bobo has shown everyone just how special he is. He is happiest being close to his people, whether he’s curled up beside you on the couch, stretched out in a sunny spot for a nap, or leaning against his canine friends for comfort. While he can be slightly cautious with new people at first, once he feels safe, his affectionate, cuddly personality shines through. True to his Husky roots, Bobo is full of charm, character, and hilarious “conversations.” He loves to express himself through adorable howls, squeals, and dramatic commentary. He’s an active boy who thrives with space to run, explore, and play, and he especially enjoys walks, backyard zoomies, and wrestling with his canine foster sister. Bobo is house trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and walks nicely on leash. He continues to work on his recall and training and is making wonderful progress every day. He does not enjoy crates or extended confinement, therefore he would do best in a home where someone is around often and understands the intelligent, independent nature of Huskies. Bobo gets along very well with other dogs, but due to his strong prey drive, he is looking for a home without cats or small animals. This handsome boy is searching for a patient, loving forever family who will embrace all the quirks, cuddles, humour, and heart he has to offer. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with endless personality and classic Husky charm, Bobo may just be your perfect match.
