Story
Luna is a chill but spunky senior girl. She was surrendered to us due to some medical complications that have since been resolved. She likes to bask in the sun, and also enjoys relaxing in the snow. She truly loves to be outside enjoying the fresh air. Luna is a vocal girl who likes to howl and "talk" to her people. She makes us laugh every day with her bossy quirks .Luna is looking for a quiet home. She can be protective of her space occasionally, and will need time to slowly warm up to new people. Luna's family would need to come to Dog Tales for frequent visits before bringing her home, in order to help her transition to her new family. An experienced adopter with no dogs or children is Luna's ideal family.

Story
Chai is a sweet, loving, 7 month old Husky mix. She can be a little nervous in new environments, but with a little TLC she warms up quickly and is very fun, loyal, and affectionate! Since she is still a puppy, she will need someone who is prepared to help her with her housetraining and basic obedience training. She is a very gentle girl who doesn't need much - just some love and attention! Chai has not been tested with other animals or small children, although she has shown some signs of being protective over her food from both dogs and people. She is currently recovering from a surgery and only has 3 legs but that doesn't stop her one bit. If she sounds like a great addition to your family, come by the shelter any day from 11am-5:30pm to meet her + adopt! Her adoption fee is $585, which includes her spay, vaccines, deworming, microchip, and free food! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 15.3 Age: 0yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Ginny! This 2-year-old husky mix is sweet, loving, affectionate, and kind. She may be a little shy meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and wants nothing but love! Ginny would do best in an adult-only home with no other pets. She previously lived with another dog and has proven that she prefers to be the centre of attention. Ginny is looking for her new forever home where she can feel safe and loved. She has been to a few homes within only a month which weren't her perfect fit, and each return to shelter has been harder and harder. She is a very sweet girl who will need some time and patience to flourish while adapting to a new life in a home. If you are prepared to give this sweet girl a loving home, come meet her any day from 11am-5:30pm at the shelter. Her adoption fee is $585 which includes her spay, vaccines, deworming, microchip, and a month's worth of free food! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 25.2 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Kai came to us as a transfer from another shelter, where he was found as a stray and never claimed. This handsome, strong-willed boy is now ready to find his perfect match—a dedicated and experienced caregiver who understands his unique needs. Kai thrives in an environment that offers structure and consistency. He forms deep bonds with his people and can be protective of both his loved ones and his personal space. Due to his protective nature, Kai would do best in a spacious home where he has the ability to be safely separated when visitors arrive. New introductions should be gradual, controlled, and involve proper muzzle training to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone. While still refining his manners, Kai is making remarkable progress. He’s quickly picking up on positive behaviors, such as sitting for attention and treats. His intelligence is evident as he eagerly engages in training, and he’s making strides every day. At this stage in his journey, Kai would be most comfortable as the only dog in the home, as we continue to assess and work on his interactions with other dogs. The ideal home for Kai will be with experienced dog owners who are familiar with training protective behaviours. He’ll need a spacious, secure home with the option for separation, no other pets, and a commitment to continuing his training with patience, consistency, and understanding.
