Luna is a chill but spunky senior girl. She was surrendered to us due to some medical complications that have since been resolved. She likes to bask in the sun, and also enjoys relaxing in the snow. She truly loves to be outside enjoying the fresh air. Luna is a vocal girl who likes to howl and "talk" to her people. She makes us laugh every day with her bossy quirks .Luna is looking for a quiet home. She can be protective of her space occasionally, and will need time to slowly warm up to new people. Luna's family would need to come to Dog Tales for frequent visits before bringing her home, in order to help her transition to her new family. An experienced adopter with no dogs or children is Luna's ideal family.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LOVEY DOVEY hails from the Northern community of Sandy Lake and came south with her two sisters, Honey Bunch and Sweetie Pie and they’re named the Valentine Trio. She’s now looking to find her forever home. She’s received her three sets of puppy vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and has been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. We really don’t know the size she’ll grow to be as we have no information on either parent. The same can be said about the breeds we’ve stated as we just go by what she looks like. There is a picture of her with her 2 siblings and they look to be Lab mixes but that’s just a guess. She’s the smallest one in the litter and we could probably say the cuddliest one too as she loves to cuddle and sleep in her foster’s lap. As much as she loves her sisters and playing with them she will wander off and do her own thing too. She’s the observant one in the litter and will sit back to observe what the other two are up to. She’s currently teething so she has lots of chew toys including Nyla bones to keep her little teeth busy. LOVEY DOVEY’s crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night and will also nap in it during the day too. House training is going well and she rarely has an accident in the home but she is taken outside frequently. She really enjoys going on walks and gets excited when she knows she’s going on one. She wears a harness when she goes on one and like all puppies, she loves to run ahead of you. She has good manners and is slowly learning not to rush her food down. She will take treats “gentle” and will “sit” for her meals like a good girl. LOVEY DOVEY’s ideal family has to have Husky experience as although she’s a very gentle girl right now, the older she gets the more challenging she could become. They should also be an active one that loves the outdoors as we know once she’s a bigger girl she’ll love to be outside and want to be adventurous and go on hikes and long walks on the trails. She does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for her. There’s no other dog (than her sisters) in her foster home so but she has met several in the neighbourhood so is well socialized. She should do well with another dog in the home and if there is one we do recommended that a slow introduction be made between them and the dog kept leashed for the first few introductions. She has 2 cats and 2 rabbits in her foster home and she does lay with the cats in front of the fireplace. She can be an only pet in the home provided she’s not left alone for long periods of time every day. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving, gentle and kind towards animals. She does require a fenced-in yard so she can be kept safe while she has a run around and play. LOVEY DOVEY, like all puppies, is cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We do need her adopter to be in agreement to take her for puppy/obedience training to help her to become the best girl possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spayed by the time she’s 6 months of age. The surgery will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. In order for the rescue to do so we need the spay requirements to still be followed plus a copy of the procedure invoice and a picture of her (preferably in her onsie or cone) in order to do the reimbursement. We do post the picture on our fb page along with other pets that were “fixed” in the same week. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.VIKING hails from the Northern community of Pikangikum and came south with his sister, Saxon and he’s now looking to find his forever home. He’s received his first two sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and has been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. We really don’t know the size he’ll grow to be as we have no information on either parent. The same can be said about the breeds we’ve stated as we just go by what he looks like to us. This poor boy was found quite literally freezing to death along with his sister on a freezing cold night. Frostbite was just starting to set in on his extremities, tail, ears, under his arms, tummy and even his penis Luckily someone saw the pair freezing in the cold and brought them into their home. We’re pleased to say that he has no ill effects from the frostbite and he’s healed right up. VIKING’s a super soft little guy both in personality and his lovely coat. He’s the gentlest little soul you could ever imagine and he’s super smart too. He’s definitely the one to take a step back from something new rather than a step forward. He’s slowly getting more comfortable being out in the snow but he wasn’t a fan of being out in the evening when it was snowing and dark as he did his business and ran for the door to get back inside again. He loves to explore and play with all his stuffies and it’s not unusual to see him surrounded by at least half a dozen at a time. He also loves to play with anything that squeaks, chew on his Nyla bones and throw his rope toys around. He won’t like this being said about him but he’s such a baby and one of the most loveable puppies his foster has ever known. He’ll put one paw on each of your shoulders and just snuggle right into you. VIKING’s excellent in his crate and goes in it at night and sleeps without a peep. He has been up the odd night for a bathroom break but he’ll go right back into it afterwards and go straight back to sleep. He’s not such a fan if it in the daytime though and will bark for a bit when he’s put in it. nap in it House training is going very well and being the smart little guy that is, be’ll cry to go outside for a bathroom break. It is still a work in progress though as sometimes be forgets to ask so you need to watch for the signs that be needs to go outside. He’s only just started to go for short walks and like all puppies he’ll excitedly race ahead of you. He’s not good motivated at all and he does like to graze on his kibble. He does the funniest thing with his bowl of kibble and that is he’ll keep pawing at it until it spills all over the floor and then he’ll eat it up right off the floor. He has good manners and will “sit” for his food and treats plus he’ll also take them “gentle.” VIKING’s ideal family should have some Husky experience as although be’s a very gentle ot right now, the older he gets the more challenging be could become. They should also be a relatively quiet one and an active one that loves the outdoors as we know once he’s a bigger boy he’ll love to be outside and want to be adventurous, go on hikes and long walks on the trails. He does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for him. He has several other dogs in his foster home so if there’s one in his new home they should be gentle and calm just like he is. It’s recommend that a slow introduction be made between them and the resident dog kept leashed for the first initial introductions. He’s also hasn’t met a cat so if there’s one in the home then he should be kept leashed while introductions are made. He can be an only pet in the home provided he’s not left alone for long periods of time every day. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving, gentle and kind towards animals. He does require a fenced-in yard so he can be kept safe while he has a run around and play.
