Story
This pretty girl is a miniature husky. What a great size at only 22 lbs, 1 year old, utd vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, Snap4dx negative, and spayed. Husoon would love to enjoy our Canadian winters. She was found at a young age bitten by a poisonous snake. The vet in South Korea saved her life and her leg as she had a nasty infection. Husoon has fully recovered and is ready for a forever home. Also good with dogs, can be cat tested, and friendly to everyone. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CAPTAIN MORGAN hails from North Spirit Lake and was found as a stray suffering from a severe case of Mange. Our rescue took him on as a medical case as we just couldn’t resist those eyes and they were begging for help. He has received vet care for the Mange and his coat is growing back beautifully now. There’s no on going care for the Mange as it’s caused by microscopic mites under the skin and they’re killed off with flea and tick treatment, which he’s receiving. He’s neutered, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and had a clean bill of health from his vet. We have no knowledge of his parents so we’re going with a Husky mix for him as that’s what he looks like. He is just a little guy and we don’t see him being much bigger than what he is right now.   CAPTAIN MORGAN is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night without a peep, he’ll also take his naps in it during the day. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He’s doing well with his leash walking and he loves to go on them too. He’s in a foster home with a few dogs of various sizes and gets on great with them all. He goes on pack walks with them through the woods and just follows their lead. He’s looking for a home with at least one other dog as we feel that would suit him best. He’s such a gentle boy who loves praise and attention, he’s also very loving and has finally gotten over his fear of people so everyone us greeted with a tail wag. He loves playing with toys and wrestling with the little Weiner dog in his foster home. He has good manners and knows a few basic commands like “sit” “paw” and “stay.” he also takes treats “gentle.” Obedience training is still required for him to make him be the best boy possible and it will also help him and his new owner form a bond. CAPTAIN MORGAN is in a foster home where someone is home with him most of the time so his new home should be similar. He would also like them to be active and love the outdoors like he does. He would want them to take him on trail walks, hikes through the woods and let’s not forget that he travels well in a vehicle so would always be up for an adventure or two. He’s such a calm boy and although he’s never met a cat it maybe possible for him to be with one providing they have a monitored introduction and the cat is dog savvy. He hasn’t met young children so we’re recommending they should be 10 and up. He requires a fenced in yard so he can run around and play in it and be kept safe.  If you’re interested in meeting CAPTAIN MORGAN then please put in an adoption application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 2, 2024, 12:55 am

Story
Hi guys, this is Shadow. He is a 14month Husky from Brazil. He came to Canada in March 2023 after staying with my in laws until he was old enough to travel. He had all the vaccines and medical verifications to be allowed in the country. Due to circumstances beyond my control we need to rehome him with a broken heart. He is awesome with kids (we have 4) and with guests he just gets over excited and jumps a little but settle’s quickly and stays calm after. With other dogs he barks and pulls on the leash, off leash he is usually fine around other dogs. Never seen him around cats or other animals. Never bite anyone, not aggressive at all. Not neutered. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out.

Story
Echo | Female | 3 mos | Husky Mix | 22 lbs | Microchipped | Housetrained | Meet Echo super adorable puppy❣️ This sweet pup hails from Manitoba where she was at risk of perishing in the harsh winters. We had the opportunity to bring her to Ontario where she has been enjoying life with her foster family. A typical puppy, Echo loves life and is curious to discover and learn all about the world around her. She enjoys her walks and would love to say hello to everyone she encounters, whether they be human or canine. Echo loves to be outside and would suit an active family that can include her on hikes and activities. As with all young dogs, Echo is learning obedience and structure. Her new family should be prepared to support her ongoing growth and development so that this beautiful girl can be the amazing family dog she is destined to be. Apply to Adopt Echo using the link below: 📍 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/Backst.../adoption-application-form 🌐backstreetpaws.com By adopting or fostering a husky mix puppy, you'll not only gain a loyal and affectionate friend but also make a positive impact on their lives. Many of these puppies have had a difficult start and are desperately longing for a safe and loving environment. Your love and care will help them blossom into confident and happy dogs. If you're unsure about long-term commitment, fostering can be an excellent option. It allows you to provide a temporary home for a puppy until they find their forever family. Fostering is equally rewarding, as you get to witness their growth and development firsthand, knowing that you played a vital role in their journey.
