Story
This my husky mix Apollo. He's 2 years old and a bundle of love and fun. My life has become increasingly more difficult with school and work and I can no longer provide him with life he deserves. He's very loving and enjoys people's company. He loves to run and he's very curious about everything. He has no behavioral issues and he's pretty well trained.

Story
Apollo is a confident, goofy boy wrapped up in a super cute, 40 pound package! This boy would love a life of adventure and partnership in the PNW. He also LOVES people and will run up to anyone and everyone to say hello and get some pets. He is working on keeping all of his paws on the ground when he gets excited, but it just shows how eager he is to make friends! He loves to “make-out” aka giving kisses! His foster mom is working on leash etiquette with Apollo and he’s doing well! He still gets very excited when it’s time to go for a walk, but he’s light and easy to redirect! He is the perfect size to take on the go! Apollo is a high energy, young husky. He will need daily mental and physical exercise and a family who can commit to training him to be the best boy possible. Apollo is dog friendly with everyone! We introduced him to male, female, big and small dogs and he tried to make friends with everyone. He would love another dog friend or two, and bonus points for a yard or space for him to run around! He loves to share toys with the resident dogs! He’s learning to sit for treats and is very food motivated so training should be a breeze! He will need a family that has dog (preferably husky) experience and can help him be his best self through training and confidence building. Apollo lives in a very loving foster home that has lots of husky experience so he is getting lots of good socialization and care! He currently lives with a pack of huskies! He is crate and potty trained. He is ready to see what it is like to be part of a family! Apollo is currently being fostered in Houston, TX and will be available to travel to the PNW when he finds his perfect home. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! Story
This is marvelous Maverick! He is a beautiful 1 year old white and brown Husky and he weighs about 45 lbs. This beautiful boy lives with any amazing foster family who has 4 huskies of their own and a chihuahua and Maverick does amazing with their pack! This crew eats, sleeps and play together. There is no resource guarding, and everyone gets along so well. He is crate trained but his foster parents allow him to free roam. Maverick is very trustworthy alone in the house and is completely potty trained. He loves to give kisses and hugs and is a very affectionate boy but enjoys having his space and prefers to sleep alone. He is a wonderful car rider and will basically just lay in the backseat and will ride calmly and quietly! He needs assistance loading and unloading in the car but with more practice he master this on his own soon. This boy loves to chase balls and is learning to release it when he brings it back! He will destroy the occasional stuffed animal, so hearty chew toys are best for him! He doesn't mind the the rain or water but hasn't had the opportunity to completely play in it yet! This boy takes 2 hour walks each day and loves them! He will pull when he sees other dogs but his foster mom reports she has never heard him growl. This boy is still young so he has lots of energy and needs daily mental and physical stimulation. He loves people and plays well with other dogs. Husky play involves lots of "talking", mouthing, jumping and rough housing. It would be ideal for him to be in a home with a family/person who has husky experience and understands the breed and their needs. Overall, Mav is well rounded and has a great temperament. Does he sound like the right boy for your home? Maverick is currently fostered in Texas and will be eligible to travel to the PNW when he finds the perfect home! Story
I'd like to introduce you to the gentle, cat friendly husky Zeus!! https://youtu.be/aQh4ZRrg_ak -Leash Friendly -Calm Intros https://youtube.com/shorts/Lnbs-_x0SUU?feature=share This beautiful husky mix is about 2 years old and 45 pounds. As far as husky pups go he is definitely on the calmer side of the spectrum. Fantastic with cats, kids and other dogs. I can picture him being a favorite around the dog park with how well he does with quick intros. He's still learning his leash etiquette but he's so gentle that he's picking it up VERY quickly. He's very smart & looks to his handlers constantly for assurance, approval and guidance. He's going to lend himself VERY well to treat-based training! He's also potty trained and current on all shots. What more could you ask for?? Those familiar with the husky breed know they do best in active and mentally stimulating routines. Whether it's outdoor adventures or mentally-testing training- an active husky is a GREAT husky. Currently fostered in Texas he'll be elgible for transport to the PNW mid July once he completes heartworm treatment (as is typical for Texas pups). He'll be neutered, healthy and ready for his forever family. Is it with you??
