Story
Say hello to Kody, a 2-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix, weighing about 48 pounds. Kody was surrendered by his previous owner. Kody had been an outdoor dog and was very timid and fearful of people, refusing to join his foster brothers and sisters inside the house. In just a few days, Kody started coming out of his shell, showing his foster family the fun-loving, playful, chatty, young dog he is today. Kody will approach a stranger wagging his big thick hairy tail but will back up if they reach to touch him. It appears he may have been abused. He will also run and sit by the back door when the other dogs are barking at something or there are loud noises or sounds outside. After a few days of going in and out of the house with his foster brothers and sisters, Kody became comfortable inside and now wants to be inside with his foster family. Kody is a true gentleman inside and was fully house trained in less than a week. When he wants to go out, he will sit at the door and talk, not bark. He is great with other dogs large and small. Kody loves to play. He has two foster cat brothers who are very dog savvy. He will sniff/lick them. He ignores them most of the time. But when the two cats play, he wants to join and will chase them, only because they run. Kody is good with children and has been around a child as young as 2. Kody is a very happy dog. Kody would fit well as a second dog of an active family, who knows about this energetic talkative breed. Kody has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped. You can visit at the Salt Lake PetSmart (1830 South 380 West) the third Saturday of each month from 11-2. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. For more information, please text Megan at (801) 703-0639, or email UAAFinfo@gmail.com.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey guys, I’m Aron! If you’re looking for a sweet, lower exercise needs dog, that’s me! I’m a 3.5 year old Husky mix boy, weighing about 60 lbs. I am potty, crate and doggy door trained. I know sit and down, and working on leash manners. Basically I’m a smart dude. I love all people of all sizes, but I’m still learning to not be mouthy, so dog savvy kids only! I get along with dogs, but I could be an only dog too! Cats are a no go.  I’ve had a rough start to life. I was in a shelter for 7 months before finding rescue. I have a few scars, so it’s unclear what came before the shelter. But I haven’t let any of that keep me from absolutely enjoying life! I will melt in your hands when you pet me, I’m super eager to please, but honestly my favorite thing ever is to lay around on all the soft places. I have a small bit of anxiety, but my foster mom can teach you how to manage it. If I sound like a dream boat to you, apply to meet me at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication!      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 3:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello! I am Scar, a fabulous and handsome boy, and I know it. I’m a 5-year-old, male Siberian Husky. I currently weigh in at just 45lbs, but to be at a healthy weight I need to gain a good amount. Foster mom thinks 55lbs would look a lot better on me. 5 is a *fabulous* age for a husky! I have enough energy still to play hard, but the extra years mean I can also now cuddle just as hard. You can hold me in your lap like a teddy bear and I will eat it up (after I’ve burnt some energy off though). I may get distracted while outside the house, but inside it, I’m not likely to leave your side and laying at your feet is one of my favorite spots. I’m not mouthy or jumpy so kids should be OK. I like dogs, but I’d be fine without them. NO CATS. I know Huskies have their reputations, but I want to make sure people know what that is. I’m not going to be a beginner dog. You should have some canine experience before beginning a relationship with a husky I CAN be your first Husky though! I am smart but stubborn and sassy. I will tell you how I feel about everything. I will shed everywhere and hate the baths to make me not shed. I will challenge you to be the best dog handler. You may be asking…why even get a Husky then? Because our charm is top notch. We will make you laugh and keep you active. We love our people fiercely, without being mean to others. And we are darn gorgeous. If you’re ready to try a Husky, or are already an avid fan and want another, apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 3:18 pm
