Story
Ace is turning six years old on December 28th, and he’s ready to find his forever home. Ace is a social, talkative pup who loves being around people and other dogs. He thrives in a home where someone is home most of the day and can take him on two good walks to burn off his energy and keep him happy. When he gets excited, he has the most endearing habit of hopping like a bunny—he just can’t contain his joy! Ace may be big, but he’s a gentle cuddle bug at heart. He’ll happily curl up beside you and keep you company for hours. Plus, he makes a great little home guardian, always ready to alert you when someone’s at the door. We will have a toddler and newborn in our home soon and sometimes Aces size and excitement isn’t the greatest mix with small children. Ace has been trained to be social with other dogs and has even lived peacefully with a kitten, showing his gentle and adaptable nature. He’s a smart pup who also knows several commands

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Greetings!  I’m Ferrero, a 7 year-old, 65lb, male husky mix.  I am a gentle giant, looking for just the right forever home to accept me as their loyal partner in all things.   I am kennel trained, house trained, dog and cat friendly, and have lived with children of all ages.  I am thriving in my foster home where I can be the center of the world with lots of attention and daily exercise.  I have perfect manners and obedience.  I don’t even get on the furniture!   My foster mom calls me her “shadow dog” because I like to follow her movements and just “be” wherever she is.  I don’t get in the way:  I settle down and observe what she is doing.     I'll be honest with you, I have had some challenges with separation anxiety when my foster mom leaves the house. But we have made huge strides during my time in foster!  I would do best in a home with another confident dog whose behavior I can model and shadow. If I am kenneled during the day when my foster mom leaves, I do best when next to a dog friend who is also kenneled.  I sleep through the night in a dog bed in the bedroom where my family is sleeping.     I would love to be in a home where I am involved in daily activities.  I would thrive in a home where some time each day is dedicated to me alone or to me with my other dog friend(s).  I love my daily leash walks in the morning where I can be with my person and check out the goings-on in the neighborhood.    I have lived well in a home with other dogs and cats.  I’m interested in cats at first, but if they are dog-savvy, I quickly lose interest in them.  I have also lived in a home with small children, but would do best in a home with a very solid, steady routine.   I have gone on lots of hikes in the mountains with my foster family and dog friends.  I follow right behind my person like a shadow, off-leash.  I am very attentive to commands that my person gives me, and have 100% dependable recall.  My obedience is pristine.   I play well with other dogs if the other dog initiates the play.  I have successfully attended doggie daycare.   Because I am such a good dog in so many respects, my foster mom said she is willing to wait for just the right person or family to come along who wants to adopt me.  Do you think that might be you?  Please fill out an application at:  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  and my foster mom will set up a time for us to meet.  I might be a little shy at first, but you will see that I am a gentle giant.  I am waiting for my perfect forever family to come along and to accept me as their shadow.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2025, 5:44 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a mature, distinguished gentleman?  If so then I’m your guy.  Hi there, my name is Crossbone but my friends call me Bones! Have you ever seen such a handsome face?  I'm a 10 year old Husky and I am everything you’d expect of a  lovable mature companion.  Can you tell that snow is my happy place?  I absolutely love people and my favorite thing in the world is my run and walk time.    Being a Husky I’d really do best in a home that can provide me the exercise and stimulation my breed requires.  Don’t let my age fool you, I can run with the best of them.  Afterwards I’d love some snuggle time, and don’t be surprised when I vocalize all my likes and dislikes in true Husky fashion!  I’m potty trained, and while the crate isn’t my favorite place I will do OK in one.  I’ve lived a long life successfully with many dogs but I do have a tendency to be protective of my food or treats so I’d prefer to live with either larger dogs who respect boundaries or no dogs.  My foster mom can fill you in on the details.  She also thinks that no other small animals (to include small dogs and cats) or small kids would be best.  If a handsome man like me is a good fit for your home, head on over to https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication and ask for Crossbone!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 2, 2025, 4:23 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Onyx - named after a beautiful black gem, and just like one, I'm a little hard on the outside, but with time and care, I've got real sparkle underneath. I'm a 4-year-old husky with a sensitive soul and a strong sense of boundaries - I'm not quick to trust, but I am quick to notice kindness. Fast moves and grabby hands? No thanks. Calm voices, soft pets, and sitting quietly beside me? Now that's my love language. With the right person - someone gentle, patient, and willing to go at my pace - I know I can shine like the precious gem I'm named after. Let's take it slow, sit together in the quiet, and see where trust takes us.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 61 Age: 4yrs 3mths 2wks
