Meet Icy: The Playful Beauty Ready for Adventure! Icy is a stunning 1-year-old Husky who weighs around 60 pounds and is as gentle as she is gorgeous. This girl has a quiet, well-mannered nature that shows she’s been loved and has some basic obedience training under her belt. She walks well on a leash making her an easy addition to take with you on walks in the neighborhood or trails. Despite her calm demeanor, Icy absolutely *adores* other dogs! This sweet girl is named Ada. Ada is comfort on four paws, she’s a gentle, mellow girl seeking a gentle, quiet and kind home. She would make a wonderful work from home buddy, a great family dog, a fabulous retirement companion. She is a cuddly calm girl, ready to enjoy the finer things in life with you- couch snuggles, milkbones, and lazy mornings spent in bed. We think Ada is a husky mix of some sort, around 2 years old. She currently weighs in around 60 pounds, all legs and ears. Ada has partial iris heterochromia, with one half brown, half blue eye. When Ada meets a new person, she’ll calmly sit next to them, and softly, politely lean into their legs until they pet her. Ada is so friendly, so gentle, and so loving. It cannot be overstated. We think Ada would do best with a mellow male doggy sibling, or as an only dog. She’s a very relaxed dog, and an energetic dog would likely not be a good match for her, or her for them. She does well walking by dogs on leash, even when they’re barking, snarling or growling at her. She has wonderful leash manners, and settles quickly at your feet once you’ve stopped walking. Ada has impressive house manners. She’s not a counter surfer, or a pillow stealer, she is relaxed and confident in a home environment. Here at the rescue, we have not seen her have any indoor accidents. Ada is such a gentle and sweet girl, she takes treats very gently too. Ada is such a welcome presence, a soft and cozy dog just looking for her forever family. This sweet little lady is named Sheila. Sheila is a soft senior girl, estimated to be around 9 years old, seeking forever love. She’s kid-friendly, dog friendly and cat tolerant and could easily fit in in any animal lover’s home. She’s a well behaved girl, good on leash, gentle and quiet, and could live in an apartment. We think Sheila is a husky mix of some sort. Sheila is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Here at the rescue, Sheila met a three year old and did very well with him! She even let him brush her, and didn’t complain when he was rough. She’s a wonderful girl, and would make an excellent family dog. She has wonderful house manners too, and prefers the floor to the couch. With other dogs, Sheila is friendly and tolerant. She tolerates our pushiest puppies, treating them all like they’re her own. She’s a perfect sweetheart, and would do well with a low energy doggy sibling to keep her company. She isn’t too playful with other dogs, and would do well as a solo dog as well. Sheila is well behaved in the car, she unloads and loads all by herself. She’s amazing on leash and friendly with all she meets, all of this together spells a perfect little adventure dog! While Sheila may be past her days of long hikes and morning runs, she would absolutely appreciate a relaxing evening at a patio restaurant, or brunch dates in the city.
