*ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED BY REBEL PAW @rebelpaw801This striking beauty is Aslan. She is a 2 year old, 45 lb Husky mix who's always ready for the next adventure. Aslan was born deaf, but that doesn't slow her down! Her deafness doesn't define her; her joyful spirit does. In fact, she's really not that different from a hearing dog. One of her favorite activities is hitting the hiking trail, and she is even great off leash. She's a sweet and fun-loving goofball, always ready to make you laugh with her playful antics. Aslan's deafness doesn't dampen her spirit. Instead, it amplifies her other senses, making her a unique and special companion. Her loyalty is unwavering, and she's always ready to shower you with love and happiness. She gets along with other dogs and just loves her people. She gets so excited when you enter the room. She goes to daycare, and they say she loves playing with any dog who will let her. She cannot live with cats. She is already house trained too! Aslan is a joyful, loving, loyal, bouncy fluffball looking for a forever family to call her own. Adopt Aslan and let her bring sunshine into your life. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is sponsored by Rebel Paw! Story
This beautiful lady is Kumi, an American Akita, between 6-8 years old. After spending the last four months with foster parents (who immediately fell in love with her) she is a happy, healthy girl with lots of love and energy to spare. She does have a few patches where her coat is still filling in resulting from malnutrition issues. Kumi’s favorite things include being outside (playing, running or just basking in the sun), car rides and rope toys (she is a champ at tug of war). Kumi is a very loving dog. She is a little skeptical of public places and doesn’t want to do much with strangers. Fortunately, you’re only a stranger until you walk into her home and then you are her BEST friend! Kumi knows basic commands and is eager to show them to you . . . if you have a treat. Proper dog introductions are a must for Kumi. She can be a little grumpy with other dogs. She gets along well with dog savvy cats. Sometimes she gets excited and will chase them but has never hurt them. She has not been tested around kids. Kumi’s new family will need to make sure she gets help with leash and obedience training. While Kumi is a very good girl, she can be very stubborn and would prefer to do things her way and not listen to the two-legged members of the pack. She really doesn’t like to be left alone and will break out of kennels, so long hours alone every day may be a problem. She would benefit from a home where someone in the family works part time or works from home. Kumi is a special girl who is willing to be your buddy on walks and hikes, play with you until she tires you out, and cuddle up next to you on the couch in the evening. She will require consistency and some additional training, but trust us, she is more than worth it. Kumi has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been microchipped. You can visit at the PetSmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the third Saturday of every month from 11 am - 2 pm. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call/text Kirsty at (435) 671-0985, or email kirsty.ju@gmail.com.
