Story
Chance! He is 9 years old, energetic and also a snuggly home body. Super friendly with kids and big dogs but no so much small dogs and cats. This is our dream child but we’re moving and unfortunately incapable of keeping him. As much as it breaks our heart we NEED a new home for him. Again, this breaks our heart but we really want to find the right home for him in a predominantly snowy area. He really likes to be outside so a large fenced in yard would be best. Otherwise we would bring him to Florida with us.

Story
Meet Runa, a gentle 9-year-old Husky/Staffy mix who is brand new to the shelter and still finding her footing in this unfamiliar place. With her soft eyes and quiet spirit, it’s clear that Runa is a sweetheart — she’s just a little shy right now as she works on coming out of her shell. As we get to know her, one thing is already certain: Runa deserves a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly understood. She’s a senior girl who would much rather be curled up with someone she trusts than spending her days in a kennel. If you have space in your heart for a tender, reserved dog who’s hoping for a second chance, come meet Luna. Your kindness could help her blossom — and keep her shelter stay a short one. This lovely senior is ready for the warmth of a real home.

Story
Hi, I'm Onyx! I'm a sweet, fun-loving girl with a big personality and all the classic husky flair-tons of energy, a love for toys, and a heart that's always ready for the next adventure. I adore going places, exploring new sights, and keeping life exciting, especially when kids are around to share the fun. Treats are one of my favorite things (okay... one of my many favorites), and I definitely come with a little sass to keep things interesting. I'm vocal and proud of it, so I'll always let you know exactly how I'm feeling-whether it's time to play, time to go, or time for snacks!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 61 Age: 4yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Hi, I'm Renee, a 4-year-old husky/German shepherd mix, and I'd like to renegotiate what you think you know about big dogs, because I'm actually a softie at heart. I'm calm, friendly, and very people-oriented, happiest when I can stay close and soak up gentle affection at my own pace. I appreciate a quiet, patient home where we can take things slow, build trust, and enjoy low-key adventures together, because sometimes less fuss is more Renee-warding. If you're ready for a loyal companion who will lean into love once she feels safe, I'm ready to say "Renee-dy or not, here I come" to my forever home.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Tan Weight: 44.4375 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Hi, I'm Neptune, a two-year-old husky with big blue-planet energy and a personality that's truly out of this world. I'm friendly, affectionate, and always ready to make waves with my enthusiasm, whether that's zooming around the yard or chatting about my day in true husky fashion. I love toys, treats, and learning new things, and I'd thrive with an active family who's ready for a little adventure and a lot of fun. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who will orbit around you and keep life from ever feeling shallow, I might just be the right planet for your solar system.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots program Please email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 52 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Meet Anya! Anya is a 5-year-old husky with a soft heart and a gentle soul. She can take time to warm up in new situations, but beneath her shyness is a very sweet girl! She has done well with other dogs in her previous home and could enjoy another canine friend with slow introductions; however, she would do best in a home without cats. Anya's previous guardian reported that she is housetrained and crate trained, and she knows several cues such as sit, stay, down, and paw. With patience and consistency, Anya blossoms, showing her affectionate and loving nature. Anya would thrive in a home that builds trust gently and appreciates her quiet loyalty. If you are looking for a kind, sensitive companion, Anya may be your perfect match. Come visit her today!
