Story
Delilah is a young dog who was sold from a corner puppy stand to a family who didn’t understand the needs of Huskies. Delilah just over a year old and is full of energy and fun. Delilah needs an active home and a family who has time to teach her how to walk on a leash, sit and other good doggy manners. She is very smart and does learn quickly. Delilah likes other dogs and kids. She knows how to use a doggy door, loves car rides and loves to play fetch. Delilah would love to be in a home where she can be walked at least once a day. She would be a great running partner. And when all the exercising is done, Delilah has the love and loyalty part of being a good dog down pat! She will curl up with you and watch TV or lay by your side while you read. With a little effort from an adopter, Delilah will be a super companion. Delilah has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Why hello there, handsome! Everyone, please meet Inari. His new years resolution is to find his new forever home. Can you help him? In return, he'll help you stick to your resolutions! He's more than happy to go on long walks and hikes with you - keep you active and healthy, and improve your mental health (dogs do that, you know!) He is a young guy at just over a year old and about 75lbs. Nearly GoT sized! Inari is a husky mix, but he doesn't do most of the naughty husky things that others do. No fence jumping, digging, or running away. He *does* like to sing the song of his husky peeps at times, tho, so he wouldn't be a great apartment dwelling dog.   Inari has been staying with a dog trainer for a couple of months to work on his socialization with other dogs, his manners, and his obedience skills. (lucky guy!!) He is such a smart boy that is very excited to learn with you. We have been introducing the ecollar to him to solidify his recall and he is loving it and doing so well. He is also fully house trained and great in his crate. He has pretty good house manners and loves to hang out with his people and chew on a bone. Inari is great with people, including kids, and most other dogs. He does the best with playful female dogs. He wants to be the only big handsome boy in the area, so he struggles with some other male dogs. If you think Inari could be the arctic adonis you've been looking for, apply to meet him today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, I am Serena Joy and that's just what I am, a total joy! I am a red Husky with striking ice blue eyes and I am about a year old. I am around 55lbs and probably wont get much bigger than this. I took my "freedom ride" on a big packed transport van from New Mexico. There were a lot of other dogs lucky enough to make the trip with me. When my foster mom pulled me off the van she said most of the other dogs around me were very scared and shut down, but not me! I was so happy and excited I was being rescued that I was smiling at her. I have the best disposition!  I am a smart girl and am completely potty trained! Using a doggy door has never been a challenge for me. I love the doggy door because it means I get to go sit outside in the nice cold air, mmm my favorite! I love to be with my people but if the choice is being with my people in a hot house or sitting alone in a snowbank then I'm picking the snowbank! If you are into the winter sports then I am your gal! I have a very warm, thick and fluffy coat and boy is it so soft, everyone loves to pet me. I would love to go snowshoeing, sledding, or cross country skiing! Heck you could even train me to pull you on your skis. I love to get out and play and exercise but after some mental and physical stimulation I also enjoy chilling and being lazy. I love kids! and am very gentle with them even when they run around and squeal. I probably wouldn't do very well with cats though, I have shown that I am a little too curious in my neighbor bunnies. I love to play and wrestle with all of my foster siblings! I am respectful of anyone that doesn't want to play and I have good doggy manners when I am meeting new dogs. I don't resource guard but if another dog steals my toys or food I will squeaky bark at them in hopes that they will get so annoyed they will give it back. (It totally works, you should try it sometime). I will crate at night but I don't love to be in my crate during the day especially when all of the action is going on.  Occasionally I like to "borrow" things from around the house but when I am caught with my stolen merchandise I immediately return the it to the rightful owner when called. I like to use my paws like a cat when playing with my toys and if you try to take it away I will also bat your hand like a cat would. My foster mom has really enjoyed me and spent a lot of time working on my training. Lately we have been working on my off-leash recall and I am improving so much each week!  Apply to meet me at: https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a mature, distinguished gentleman?  If so then I’m your guy.  Hi there, my name is Crossbone but my friends call me Bones! Have you ever seen such a handsome face?  Im a 9 1/2 year old Husky and I am everything you’d expect of a  lovable mature companion.  Can you tell that snow is my happy place?  I absolutely love people and my favorite thing in the world is my run and walk time.    Being a Husky I’d really do best in a home that can provide me the exercise and stimulation my breed requires.  Don’t let my age fool you, I can run with the best of them.  Afterwards I’d love some snuggle time, and don’t be surprised when I vocalize all my likes and dislikes in true Husky fashion!  I’m potty trained, and while the crate isn’t my favorite place I will do OK in one.  I’ve lived a long life successfully with many dogs but I do have a tendency to be protective of my food or treats so I’d prefer to live with either larger dogs who respect boundaries or no dogs.  My foster mom can fill you in on the details.  She also thinks that no other small animals (to include small dogs and cats) or small kids would be best.  If a handsome man like me is a good fit for your home, head on over to https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication and ask for Crossbone!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi I am Elmo Fudd. I am a neutered 1.5 year old husky/pitbull mix. Not sure how acurate that is - but one thing for sure, it is a mix of cuteness! My foster mom says I am very unique looking and have beautiful blue eyes! My foster mom is learning new things about me every day. My leash skills are improving every day and I really enjoy my walks.  I am crate and potty trained. I am good for 9+ hours a day in my crate whether it is while my foster pawrents work or at bedtime.  Humans of all ages are really great . Men, women, kids, I love them all. I am a stout boy, weighing around 60 pounds, so I may knock over a young child, but never on purpose.  Did someone say dogs? I haven’t met a dog I don’t like. Big or small, I am not picky. If they want to play, I am happy to oblige. My foster dog sisters are a bit older than I, and they even love to play with me. I would love to have a doggie brother or sister in my new home, but I would also do ok as a solo dog with an active family. I am still learning to settle down when the rest of my furry friends are worn out. Can you blame me? I have never had someone pay so much attention to me before my foster mom rescued me.  One last thing before I let you go. Do you like dogs that bark? No, great! My foster mom tells me I am not much of a barker. Not sure I know what that means, but it sounds like it is a good thing.  If you would like to meet the most charming pup, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 12:06 am
