Story
Kona is in a FOSTER home while she waits for her FOREVER home- if you would like to meet her, please reach out at PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV. Hello, I`m Kona, a senior dog with a heart full of love. I dream of quiet afternoons and gentle walks, where I can share all the affection I`ve stored over the years. Kona was surrendered with her brother, Blue, who has since found his forever home leaving Kona to wonder when she may find hers. Kona will be at the shelter temporarily on from 6/27-6/29 (if she is not adopted during that time) before her foster family comes back to scoop her up. If you`re looking for an older pup who can still keep up, but chill and relax at the same time, some and meet Miss Kona- you won`t regret it!

Story
Meet Nova! This spunky, fun-loving girl is always ready to say hello and has been friendly with other dogs based on what our staff has observed. Surrendered alongside her friend Jazmine, Nova has settled in well and seems relaxed both in her kennel and out exploring. She loves sniffing, playing, and stretching her legs with a good run. Like many shelter dogs, she may bark, howl, or paw at her kennel door to let you know she`d rather be out with people. She also shows a few signs of stress with all her recent changes, so a patient, loving home with people experienced with her breed would be entirely beneficial. Even with that, she hasn`t lost her personality—her hilariously `judgmental` expressions are sure to make you smile! Nova has not yet been evaluated around children or other animals. If you`re looking for a spirited companion with plenty of charm and character, Nova may be the perfect match.

Story
Shango is the sweetest boy. To be very honest, I do not want to give him up, but I am in an emergency situation. I had to move out suddenly and I haven’t been able to find a place that will allow me to have him. He is with a foster family for now, but he needs a permanent home. I would love to see him in a situation where he gets a lot of attention. He’s very quiet and mellow, until I leave for work (he doesn’t like being alone). He loves attention and he loves to go to the dog park. I’m hoping I can find a loving family with a backyard for him. He is on a fresh food diet.

Story
Meet our sweet husky, who will be 10 years old in November. He’s a gentle, easygoing dog with a laid-back personality—honestly more cat-like than a typical husky. He’s happiest lounging nearby, keeping an eye on what everyone is doing, and being part of the family. He’s great with kids and babies, typically does well with other dogs, and is more curious/playful than aggressive with cats. He does have separation anxiety and would do best with someone who works from home, is retired, or can spend more time with him. This is not a decision we’ve made lightly. We love him dearly, but with an infant, busy schedules, and the constant upkeep that comes with a double-coated husky, we’ve realized he deserves more attention than we’re currently able to give. He comes with his heavy-duty crate and any other toys/supplies we have. We are willing to be patient and are committed to finding the right home. Rehoming fee: $100 to ensure serious inquiries only. 🐾

Story
This is blue. He’s a 7 year old Siberian husky. He is great with kids and other animals. He is trained and has his shot records up to date. He is so sweet and needs a new loving home because I move around too much with the military and it is not fair to blue.
