Neptune and Mars are Schnauzer Terrier mix puppies born in rescue on 10/22/25. They are currently 10 weeks old and are expected to stay under 20 lbs when fully grown. These two brothers are the last remaining planets from Sol’s Solar System litter and are ready to find their forever homes. They have been raised in a busy, loving foster environment with dogs, cats, adults, and kids, which shows in their calm confidence and gentle nature. While they absolutely have playful puppy moments, both boys lean toward being affectionate, people focused, and easy to live with. Think cuddles first, zoomies second. CompatibilityDogs: YesCats: YesKids: Yes Neptune Neptune is the soulful one. He has deep, expressive eyes and two perfectly symmetrical spots on his back that look like little wings. From the start, Neptune has been thoughtful and observant. He studies people closely, makes eye contact, and seems genuinely interested in connection. He is a calm, loving puppy who thrives on affection. Neptune enjoys playtime and has puppy spurts of energy, especially when toys come out, but he is just as happy settling in for cuddles or quietly hanging out nearby. He has a gentle confidence and a forgiving, easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. Neptune is the kind of puppy who bonds deeply and makes you feel chosen. Mars Mars may be smaller in size, but his heart is huge. With his solid black face and white chin, he has a soft, sweet expression that matches his personality. He started out as the shyest of the litter, preferring to watch before joining in, but his confidence has grown beautifully. Mars is calm, affectionate, and wonderfully gentle. He loves cuddling with people and other dogs and is especially content when he feels safe and included. When he does get playful, his puppy energy comes out in short, joyful bursts of tumbling, chasing, and goofy fun. He is adaptable, kind, and quietly charming. Mars would do especially well in a home looking for a loving, steady companion with a soft temperament. What They’re Like Day to Day Both Neptune and Mars are well socialized and comfortable with everyday household life. They enjoy playtime, toys, and exploration, followed by long naps and cuddle sessions. They have medium puppy energy and are not nonstop go go go. They are affectionate without being demanding and playful without being overwhelming. They are still puppies and will need continued training and guidance, but their temperaments suggest they will grow into gentle, loyal, easygoing adult dogs. About Mom: Sol Sol is the calm center of this entire universe. She came into rescue already pregnant and handled motherhood with patience, structure, and zero drama. She is about 15 lbs, scruffy, sweet, and quietly hilarious. Sol raised six puppies confidently and lovingly, then gracefully stepped back once they were ready. Because of her, Neptune and Mars are secure, social, and thriving. Sol has already found her forever home. She was that amazing! If you’re looking for a puppy who is loving, gentle, and emotionally tuned in, with just enough puppy sparkle to keep life fun, Neptune or Mars may be the missing planet in your universe.January 21, 2026, 2:39 pm
