All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Meet Sol’s Solar System: The Planet Puppies  (Yes, they are out of this world.) Before we blast off into puppy introductions, a very quick word about Mom: About Mom: Sol Sol — named perfectly, because she is the calm, grounding force at the center of this entire universe — came into rescue already pregnant and handled motherhood like a total professional. She’s about 15 lbs, scruffy, sweet, and quietly hilarious. She raised six puppies with patience, structure, and zero drama, then politely handed them off like, “They’re ready. I’ll be over here relaxing now.” We’ll share more about Sol in her own bio later — just know she did an exceptional job and these puppies are confident, social, and thriving because of her. About the Puppies These Schnauzer-Terrier mix puppies were born in rescue on 10/22/25 and are expected to be under 20 lbs full grown. Dad is unknown — think Cracker Jack box surprise, but the good kind.Adoption Fee: $70010 weeks old Compatibility report:Dogs? Yes.Cats? Yes.Kids? Yes.Homes with laughter, movement, and the occasional stolen sock? Absolutely. They’ve been raised around dogs, cats, humans big and small, and everyday household life — so they’re adaptable, confident, and ready for their next adventure. And now… let’s meet the planets themselves.  MERCURY – Male Mercury may be the smallest, but he has main character energy. The only puppy with light brown coloring (everyone else went black-and-white), he looks like a tiny lion who missed the memo about his size. He is fearless, fast, and convinced he’s the biggest dog in the room. True to his planetary namesake, Mercury is the speed demon of the litter. Once the zoomies begin, no sibling stands a chance. He loves cuddling with his bigger sisters Earth and Saturn and wrestling with his brother Mars. He’ll melt you instantly with his fluttery eyes and affectionate hugs — then immediately sprint away like, “Catch me if you can.” VENUS – Female Venus is the Black Swan of the litter — dramatically fluffier than everyone else and fully aware of it. Sweet, playful, and people-oriented, she’s equally happy flopping onto a pillow next to you or launching herself into playtime with joyful abandon. She’s a social butterfly with contagious energy, often the first to grab a toy and invite others to join. Watching her chase a mop or dive headfirst at a ball is pure comedy. After burning through her energy, she’s also the first to curl up for a nap. Venus is loyal, loving, and the kind of puppy who makes every day feel brighter just by existing. EARTH – Female Earth is the thoughtful observer of the group. Identifiable by her solid black face, white stripe, and two spots on her back that resemble North and South America, she likes to take a moment to assess before diving in — but once she’s comfortable, she’s all in. She has a gentle, nurturing streak and can often be found cuddling different siblings throughout the day. Earth loves people, gives affection freely, and has a calm, reassuring presence. She’s the kind of pup who makes everyone around her feel safe, seen, and loved. MARS – Male Mars may be one of the smallest, but his heart is huge. With a solid black face and white chin, he started out as the shyest of the bunch — watching carefully before joining in. As his confidence has grown, so has his playful, goofy side. He adores cuddling with his sisters and is wonderfully adaptable around dogs of all sizes. His favorite toy is a rope, and once he gets going, he’s one of the two certified goofballs of the litter — tumbling, chasing, and romping with pure joy. SATURN – Female Saturn is the largest of the litter and the undeniable leader. With spots on her back resembling Saturn’s many moons, she is athletic, adventurous, and brave. She observes first, then launches into action with impressive speed — her zoomies are legendary and sometimes end in a joyful floor slide. Despite her bold energy, Saturn is deeply affectionate. She’s the first to greet humans, loves being near her people, and will happily flip over for belly rubs for as long as you’re willing to provide them. Confident, loving, and endlessly fun — Saturn is the full package. NEPTUNE – Male Neptune has soulful eyes and a personality to match. With two symmetrical spots on his back that look like wings, he’s inquisitive, intelligent, and deeply connected to his humans. He studies people carefully, locks eyes, and somehow makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. He also has the biggest appetite — for food, affection, and life. Neptune balances confidence with gentleness, loving cuddles just as much as playtime. He’s brave, forgiving, and endlessly sweet — an athlete with a heart of gold. Final Orbit Notes These puppies are playful, affectionate, social, and adaptable — ready for homes with dogs, cats, kids, and people who understand that puppies are joyful chaos wrapped in fur. If you’re looking to add a little planetary magic to your life… your universe might be missing one of these stars. January 3, 2026, 4:39 am

Story
Ernie.  Once Ernie gets to know you, he can be s weet and affectionate. He is very cautious with new people and needs slow introductions. Energy Level?  Low to Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash?  Ernie walks well on a leash and is non-reactive. Describe how they are with other dogs?   He generally ignores other dogs while on walks. At the shelter, he participated in playgroups and did well with other dogs. When he first arrived, he didn’t get along with the resident dog, but he’s been improving as he decompresses and relaxes. He could potentially live with other dogs with proper introductions and patience. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Ignore cats we meet on walks (cats not moving); sometimes will chase a squirrel if it runs, but will continue walking easily. Commands they know?  He knows how to sit and down. What are their favorite things? Cuddles, kisses, go out for walks, and all kinds of food/treats What do they need to work on? Coping with stress - meeting new people, vet visits, visitors in the home, etc How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? He is fine being left alone. He is calm and generally sleeps when left alone.   Where do they sleep? His bed What is their ideal home?  He would do best in a calm, patient home with people who understand his needs and are willing to give him the time and space to build trust and confidence. A quieter environment, with fewer visitors, would help him feel more secure as he continues to adjust. Once he feels safe, he’ll show what a genuinely wonderful, loyal boy he is.   The Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online adoption application at  www.everypetsdream.org/adopt .
