Meet Imp! He is lovely girl rescued by our team from High-kill shelter in Korea. She gave birth to his babies in the shelter. Behaviours from the previous foster: She is so gentle that she doesn’t bark at all and doensn’t have any aggressive behaviours. She loves walking and meeting her friends and She loves her hooman so much. She likes to be pat - especially on her butt – and always sleeps besides her hooman. She is doing her job out doors- moving her bowels. She is not a big fan of showering but she seems to bear it- She is so patient. We haven’t found any separation anxieties so far, She seems to be beyond happy when the owners come back home though. She is a little bit timid that she is afraid of some scary noise like vacuum cleaner, plastic bottle and so on. She has so much love in her. Be her loving family and she will be with you and adores you forever. Allergy/health issues: She has motion sickness. So It will help her if you let her doing her job_moving her bowels_ and keep her stomach empty before gettinng a car. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog. —> all details are on the poster! Please check it carefully.

Meet Tina – The Sweetest Young Senior Lady! Age: 9 years | Dog-friendly | &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Heartworm negative | Crate & car ride pro Tina is a gentle 9-year-old 14 lb  sweetheart looking for her forever home. She's fully housebroken, calm, and does wonderfully in a crate—whether at home or on the road. Her foster says she's as easygoing as they come and a total gem in the car! Tina gets along great with kids, cats, and other dogs—especially those her size. While she's generally dog-friendly, she may bark if a much larger dog gets too rowdy or makes her feel uneasy (who can blame her?). She’s healthy, heartworm negative, and has no known health issues. Tina is the perfect mix of mellow and affectionate. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s past the puppy chaos but full of love, Tina is your girl. Story
The cuteness of this puppy’s face renders her completely irresistible! Meet Sushi Wasabi - or Sushi for short - a 2 year old, 10-pound Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier mix, who is insanely adorable, ridiculously friendly, and over-the-top sweet. Sushi is 100% housebroken, pad trained, and walks like a champ on a leash. She likes the outdoors, she seems to travel well, and she does not bark much at all. She is terrific around humans, as well as other dogs, and shares her possessions and personal space with total ease. Sushi knows her name and understands the word no. She’s very responsive to treats, so expanding her vocabulary should be a real breeze. Extremely affectionate, Sushi is a big fan of cuddling and she loves being pet. However, if you need some alone time, she is happy to oblige. Sushi is very outgoing and wants to make friends with everybody, but she doesn’t come on strong, nor will she ever crowd you. If she wants to play with another dog who may not be in the mood, Sushi knows enough to walk away and let it go. This little angel dog just gets it! Sushi’s size makes her super portable, and her rosy disposition makes her a hit with absolutely everyone. Sushi is a dream come true and will be an amazing gift to the lucky person(s) who adopts her. Story
Lulu -  1 year, 11lbs, Terrier Mix, Spayed  Want to adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Level of dog ownership experience needed:BEGINNER: This means we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale due to its breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  Energy levelMEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Potty trained?Probably! Adults usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. A consistent walking route and schedule plus finding spots with grass or dirt can help. Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some like to wrestle with every passing pup, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats? Not sure yet! Some breed mixes that are generally NOT great matches for homes with cats include large hounds, huskies, and shepherds.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.  Okay in the city?We don’t know yet. Most adult dogs do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Puerto Rico or Southern California. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
Cal - 6 months old, 10lbs, Terrier Mix, Neutered Estimated full grown size: About 13lbs Their Foster Parent Says: "Meet Cal. Cal is doing great! He’s super smart, calm, and adapting quickly to his new temporary home. He loves being near me or my husband, and when we leave the room, he’ll bark a bit for our attention. He just wants to be where people are. He thrives on routine: he eats three times a day, gets a treat after every meal, and we take him on several walks a day as we work on weaning him off wee-wee pads and helping him become fully potty-trained. Cal enjoys playing with toys, although he’s still figuring out how to interact with humans during the play – he’ll usually play a little, then curl up for a nap. He has a favorite chew that keeps him busy, but as he’s a puppy he needs supervision – he once tried to chew my laptop charger. He’s also made great progress socially. At first, he didn’t like being picked up or leashed and would playfully run laps around the kitchen island to avoid us. Now, he lets me pick him up easily. In the evenings, he cuddles with me while we watch TV – and we’ve noticed he sometimes watches the screen, which makes us think he had a TV on in his previous home. Cal is a rare little guy – so clam and sweet-natured for a puppy. He’s already showing signs of being a wonderful companion, and I truly believe that anyone lucky enough to adopt him will see him continue to thrive and reveal just how intelligent and loving he really is." Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have TONS of time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. Energy levelMEDIUM: Very young puppies sleep and nap a lot, but their energy level skyrockets when they become teens (4 months to around a year). As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day at a minimum. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Potty trained?Working on this skill. Puppies under 12 weeks old are often on track with their wee pad skills, but they’re too young to walk outside in public NYC areas yet because they haven’t finished their puppy vaccine series. Puppies older than 12 weeks are usually learning to do their business outside. Potty training takes a lot of patience, consistency, and clean up.  Crate trained?Nope. None of our new puppies have been formally trained, but many of our foster parents/adopters choose to crate train. It can be a great way to keep puppies safe and teach them independence. Social with dogs?Yes. Some puppies are shy, others are bold, but all have the potential to be taught healthy socializing skills. It’s a huge part of raising a puppy and must be done carefully. How they interact with other dogs depends largely on how their humans help them learn to.  Social with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Yes… but most puppies are not a great match for a home with kids under age 8 because they go through intense mouthy play and rambunctious phases and often accidentally hurt young kids while playing. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.   Social with cats?Yes. Almost all puppies have the potential to be friends with a cat. It’s on the adopter to know their cat’s temperament and preferences and to teach their puppy respectful manners.  Mouthy play: High! All puppies go through phases where they chew your stuff and grab your hands, arms, feet… puppies naturally explore the world, play, and test boundaries with their mouths. (It also happens when they’re teething.) Their teeth are super sharp though, so it can be a very painful phase for humans and other animals in the home. Proper training, outlets, and socialization are key. Leash manners:None. :) Will need to learn this skill.   Separation anxiety:MEDIUM: Most puppies have some level of separation anxiety as they learn to self soothe. Often they cry the first 10+ minutes when they are left home alone or in a crate. Consistent training and alone time is crucial. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines (for dogs under 4 months old, adopters will need to finish the DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age), spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer uponHow this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them.
