We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Recently rescued from a hoarding situation, Zard is a sweet, curious, cuddly boy who is ready to welcome love and start living the good life. Housebroken and well-mannered on a leash, Zard enjoys the outdoors, especially in quieter-type environments, where he can explore and sniff the world at his own pace. His nose seems to work overtime, and whenever he spots another dog, he picks up his pace to greet them with a gleeful wagging tail! Zard gets along well with everyone, but a slow approach works best with this sensitive fella, preferring that folks get down to his level when first greeting him. Zard can’t be won over with treats, but toys are his language of love, and he’s into them ALl! Dot is a sweet little lady who was surrendered by a breeder and is learning how to trust humans, experience the joy of being a dog, and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of NYC. She's making great progress and coming out of her shell. Dot likes when we stroke her head, back and ears, and sometimes presents her belly. She is fine with being picked up and leashed. While her crate or the dog bed is her favorite place, she loves walking outside and also enjoys being taken on errands in her dog carrier so she can stick her head out to see what's happening. She also likes to explore the apartment but sometimes runs back to her crate if we get too close. In the park she sniffs the ground and is curious about other dogs -- she will approach them and allows herself to be sniffed without fear.
