His adoption fee is $300, though we’re open to adjusting that for the right home.He’s been with us for 8 months, patiently waiting for someone to see past his initial nerves and give him the loving home he deserves. Palmer doesn’t warm up right away and may bite if he feels overwhelmed, but in a calm, predictable environment, he’s made great progress.Though he was originally labeled a bite risk, we’ve seen firsthand how quickly he can adjust—it only took a couple of days for him to bond with our new kennel techs. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance. Palmer still shows stress around new people, so he’ll need someone who understands his boundaries and can give him space to decompress.He would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with little foot traffic. He can be picky with dogs and would likely do best as the only pet, though he’s done well with three calm, respectful dogs currently in our care.If you have a calm home and a patient heart, Palmer could be the perfect fit. Since we do not observe these animals in home settings, we cannot guarantee whether they are housebroken. Jessie came to Texas with my parents from California. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and passed. My father is unable to care for her anymore. Jessie is a young 5 year old that loves to run. She will do well in a home with a fenced yard and no other animals. Jessie needs some obedience as we haven't been able to work with her much in the last year. We, and Jessie, are looking for a responsible, loving home, with a family that is aware of the breed.

Harrison is a good boy. He was found on the streets with his harness imbedded in his skin, so he has scares from his trauma. His owners , before us, passes away, so we do not know all of his behaviors yet. It's just my husband, and I and Harrison. He does not go potty inside the house at all. He loves walks and smelling everything. He to be hugged and kissed. He does like to lunch at really big trucks when you're walking him sometimes. And he wants He will bark at squirrels and at the boor bell. We taught him to play tug-a-war. I wouldn't recommend outfits or a harness, do to his past history. Our doctor has given us doggy gabapentin to help with some of his more challenging times where he can be stressed out , like going to the vet. He's on a dog food that is for weight control and senior citizen because he needs a balanced diet. But he's very sweet and very quiet. He is a good boy. I hope we can find him a good home. Meet Bunny and look at her precious ears! Bunny is a sweet Chihuahua mix, appropriately 2 years old, around 12 pounds, housebroken and crate trained. Bunny is good with other dogs, loves people and is kid friendly (middle school age children and older please). Sweet Bunny loves to go on walks, play with her toys, chase squirrels in the backyard and snuggle up to rest for her next playful adventure. Bunny is as sweet as they come and loves her people. Sadly, Bunny is heartworm positive and will need to be spayed. She will begin her heartworm treatments in November and once the vet gives the okay she will be spayed. But no need to worry because DFW Rescue Me covers those costs at our local vet. But in the meantime, if you're interested in this precious girl, please complete an application at dfwrescueme.org. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
