Story
Harrison is a good boy. He was found on the streets with his harness imbedded in his skin, so he has scares from his trauma. His owners , before us, passes away, so we do not know all of his behaviors yet. It's just my husband, and I and Harrison. He does not go potty inside the house at all. He loves walks and smelling everything. He to be hugged and kissed. He does like to lunch at really big trucks when you're walking him sometimes. And he wants He will bark at squirrels and at the boor bell. We taught him to play tug-a-war. I wouldn't recommend outfits or a harness, do to his past history. Our doctor has given us doggy gabapentin to help with some of his more challenging times where he can be stressed out , like going to the vet. He's on a dog food that is for weight control and senior citizen because he needs a balanced diet. But he's very sweet and very quiet. He is a good boy. I hope we can find him a good home. I wish we could keep him. Thank you.ona

Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal or multiple animals, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Palmer is a little guy with a big personality—about 15 lbs and 1.5 years old. His adoption fee is $300, though we’re open to adjusting that for the right home. He’s been with us for 8 months, patiently waiting for someone to see past his initial nerves and give him the loving home he deserves. Palmer doesn’t warm up right away and may bite if he feels overwhelmed, but in a calm, predictable environment, he’s made great progress.Though he was originally labeled a bite risk, we’ve seen firsthand how quickly he can adjust—it only took a couple of days for him to bond with our new kennel techs. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance. Palmer still shows stress around new people, so he’ll need someone who understands his boundaries and can give him space to decompress. He would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with little foot traffic. He can be picky with dogs and would likely do best as the only pet, though he’s done well with three calm, respectful dogs currently in our care.If you have a calm home and a patient heart, Palmer could be the perfect fit. Since we do not observe these animals in home settings, we cannot guarantee whether they are housebroken. Upon intake, we ensure the following:Spay/neuter proceduresMicrochippingAll vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (and treatment if necessary)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam, scheduled 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note: Adopters must live within an hour of our facility and be at least 21 years old.Do you have any questions or would you like to schedule an appointment?

Story
Ciabatta is up for whatever adventure the day may bring, whether that's joining you on a hike or run, or a movie marathon cuddling on the couch. A sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix, he does well with babies and children of all ages, as well as with other dogs. He does not get along with cats, as he is determined to play with them, but the cat usually takes his attempts as trying to eat them. Ciabatta is house trained, loves beef flavored food and chasing his tail, and is overall a great dog in need of a loving family. He is about 10 years old now, although his exact age is unknown due to him being passed around through several animal shelters before finally being adopted in 2019. The story of how he got the scarring around his snout was lost somewhere along the line, his current vet suspects it could have been zip ties used to hold his mouth shut. He didn't bark at all for about 2 years after being adopted, but did eventually bark again and learn it was safe to do. He is still a pretty quiet pup, but will speak up and bark outside which is so good to hear. Ciabatta is a great mid size pup, about 25 lbs. Ciabatta does very well with a yard to run around and get his energy out. He would do well with someone who Works from Home, or is a Stay at Home Parent, as his nervous bladder shows up with his separation anxiety. He does pretty well with a pee mat on the floor inside, but additional training and support in this area would be helpful. He does well on a leash with his harness, and is always up for a walk or new adventure! Ciabatta deserves to be part of a home where he is loved and appreciated rather than just tolerated. I am stretched too thin to provide this, through no fault of Ciabatta! He is a great dog with so much love to give and is always up for cuddles. Apply to adopt Ciabatta today! Story
Ryzo is almost 11 years old. He was born in Illinois and has been with me since he was 3 months old. He may have some anxiety issues with riding in the car, seeing people from afar, and sometimes his own shadow at night, but he is mostly a smart, loving and playful dog. He is house trained and able to do many standard commands (and then some). He is also trained with an e-collar. I will be moving and am unable to take him with me (landlord). He is afraid of other animals, so ideally he should be in a single pet home. He is good with children of all ages. Ryzo is looking for his forever homes to live out his golden years. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Ryzo, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
