Say hello to Willow! Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a gentle 5-year-old, 75-pound pup with a beautiful light-colored coat and a heart full of love. Willow is Mapleâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s sister, and while they share a love for food and play, Willow has a slightly more reserved personality that makes her extra sweet. She may get excited when she first sees you, but she settles down quickly and loves a calm environment. Willow is great with kids and thrives in a home where she can feel safe and loved. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s incredibly affectionate once she warms up and enjoys quiet cuddles and gentle attention. Fully crate trained and house trained, Willow is well-mannered and ready to be part of your daily routine. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re looking for a calm, loving, and loyal companion, Willow might just be the perfect match. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Willow III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Ryzo is almost 11 years old. He was born in Illinois and has been with me since he was 3 months old. He may have some anxiety issues with riding in the car, seeing people from afar, and sometimes his own shadow at night, but he is mostly a smart, loving and playful dog. He is house trained and able to do many standard commands (and then some). He is also trained with an e-collar. I will be moving and am unable to take him with me (landlord). He is afraid of other animals, so ideally he should be in a single pet home. He is good with children of all ages. Ryzo is looking for his forever homes to live out his golden years. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Ryzo, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. **Courtesy Post**Jessie is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement. Questions should be directed to Jessie’s owner at ksnider3@live.com ** Jessie girl is only about a year old and weighs about 30 pounds. She is as sweet as she looks. Jessie has a wonderful and fun loving personality. She’s sweet and smart and just wants to play. She loves to fetch and loves squeaky toys, and isn’t overly barky. Jessie will get along with male dogs best. Hopefully someone with a larger male will decide that Jessie is the right dog for them. She needs a playmate that isn’t tiny and delicate. Jessie will also need a little work with her training as she is still very young. We hope that her new home has someone that is home at least part of the time and who will be willing to spend a lot of time with her. Her new owner needs to be pretty energetic. Jessie is not a couch potato. She is ready to go hiking, biking, walking, running, playing with the water hose, chasing a ball, chasing a toy and just being with you! There is a small rehoming fee and her new owner will need to drive to the Dallas, Texas area to get her. Jessie is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement. Story
Sweet Stella! This beautiful female Jack Russell Terrier is looking for a forever home after being found as a stray. She’s about 3-4 years old, weighs 16 pounds and loves people. All her vet work has been done and she is a frisky and happy girl! Stella must be an only dog though. She feels that she deserves all the love and attention. Her favorite thing is to curl up next to her owner, gaze at her owner, be with her owner, love her owner, and please her owner. Her little tail is docked and her ears are perfect. She had a puppy, but is completely healed up. She has been to the “gym” and has worked hard to get her figure back. Her adoption fee is $325. She is in foster care in Sherman, Texas. If you are interested please complete the adoption application at www.RussellRescue.com Contact for more details: jamesejolley@gmail.com

Story
Meet Kiki. She is an adorable Terrier mix. She is great with people and children.  Her lil eye had to be removed earlier this year. If you have another dog it would need to be a stronger type as she is rather dominant with weaker pups so might be best as an only dog..She is about 2 years old and weighs 10 lbs.  ##2121763##

Story
Calling all Jack Russell Terrier lovers! Are you looking for a true, full-of-energy JRT? Meet Akira – The Playful Adventure-Seeker!  Akira is a spirited Jack Russell Terrier who’s ready to bounce her way into your heart!Weighing just 15 lbs, this pint-sized bundle of energy is the perfect companion for an active person or family with older kids. True to her breed, Akira is incredibly smart, curious, and always on the lookout for her next adventure.   She absolutely loves going for walks, playing with her toys and dog puzzles. Akira does well with older, respectful kids (teens) who understand how to interact with dogs. She isn’t the best fit for families with young children, as she doesn’t enjoy their high energy or playful handling.   She gets along with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she prefers slow, gentle introductions when meeting new furry friends   Akira is potty trained and is comfortable using potty pads or a doggy door. She is also crate trained, spayed and up to date on shots.   Akira would thrive in a home that offers plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Her ideal family is one familiar with Jack Russells or similar breeds who can give her the activity, stimulation, structure, and love she needs to stay happy.   Akira’s loving nature and adventurous spirit make her an amazing addition to the right family. She loves car rides and due to her size, she is the perfect companion for going literally anywhere!   Are you ready to be her forever companion? Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Akira (and Aisha!) the home they deserve! You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.   ##2241705##

Story
Niko is a true lap dog with a lively interest in being outdoors. He was spotted multiple times running the streets before his rescue.  A very secure backyard and daily walks are an absolute necessity for this investigative, energetic little guy.  Niko also enjoys looking out the window and going to dog parks, is cooperative getting his harness on, can be left loose when you're out, is good on car rides, and is not a picky eater.Niko is generally low-maintenance. He seems okay around respectful children (about 6+), and dogs of all sizes (he favors larger dogs), he is playful, and has guard dog tendencies of barking at people/noises near your windows and doors. As energetic as Niko sometimes can be, he is a deep sleeper who loves to snooze on a dog bed with comfy blankets or get under the covers on a people bed.  Niko is chock full of personality, but the sort that is especially endearing.  He is a charmer with an independent streak.  But most of all he is a loving little guy who needs a loving home. ##2280678##
