Thank you for interested in adopting Buddy. Please know that Buddy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, YVR etc. International adoption is not a complicated process, and we have extensive experience with it. We would be happy to explain how it works to you. Buddy is not a high-energy dog and enjoys taking slow walks, taking time to observe and sniff his surroundings. When he was a puppy, he was small and weak, and was often bullied by his siblings. This has made him nervous around other dogs, especially if they try to dominate him or have high energy levels that may annoy him. However, once he becomes friends with another dog, he gets along very well. He spent a long time in a shelter, so he lacks socialization skills, but he is gentle and friendly once he becomes comfortable with people and other dogs. Currently, he is undergoing socialization training. Buddy has not met any children yet, but he is generally calm and good with people. His foster believes that he would be calm and friendly with children as well. Buddy is nervous but remains calm when crated. He behaves well when left alone at home. He is currently undergoing leash training, and when he gets scared during walks, he leans on the person next to him for protection. Buddy is cautious when introduced to new food, often rubbing it on his body before eating it. However, after trying it one or two times, he becomes accustomed to it. Due to his lack of various experiences, he may get scared easily, but he is also good at overcoming his fears. Bear is a 7-year old jindo/pungsan mix, inherited from the previous property owners. Though a bit wary with strangers at first, once you’ve earned his trust, he is the most loyal, loving dog. He’s lived on a 10-acre property his entire life, so he would do best in a big backyard with plenty of space and stimulation. His favorite things to do are to chase after rodents, guard the property, and follow his humans around for pets. He is incredibly food-motivated and has picked up tricks quite readily. He has a calm, confident temperament and needs the same from his human companion(s), preferably someone who has had experience handling dogs that are more “rough around the edges.”

Bibi (pronounced bee-bee) is a 5-6 year old purebred Pungsan, inherited from the previous property owners. She is very cautious of strangers, but once she realizes she’s in a safe space, her spunky, affectionate personality shines. She has lived on a 10-acre property so would do best in a home with a big backyard, though she doesn’t mind being indoors. Her favorite things to do are to sunbathe, chase after rodents, and seek out pets. Bibi is incredibly food-motivated. She is loving and sweet, the best cuddle buddy. Because of her limited training and rather “wild” personality, she would thrive most with someone who can set boundaries and provide her with guidelines and rules.
