Story
Hi! My name is Ginger, and I am IN SOUTH KOREA waiting to be matched to a home in Los Angeles! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family! More about me BREED: Jindo mix AGE: 5 years 9 months (DOB 12/20/14). WEIGHT: About 41 pounds HEALTH: Up to date with all my shots and spayed BEHAVIOR: Very friendly with humans and dogs. I have a very bright and friendly personality BACKGROUND: I was found as a stray in the neighborhood of Yeongdeungpo-gu ABOUT JINDOS Jindos are known for their fierce loyalty, high intelligence, rarely barking, and playful nature. They make great indoor family dogs, as Jindos are clean and easily housetrained, and are faithful to family members. They are also mid-level active and love being socialized at dog parks, going on hikes, and joining the family on trips. ABOUT SHELTER STRESS Dogs who have lived in shelters for a long period of time develop behaviors due to an environment that is loud, chaotic, and stressful, even in best shelters in the US. Dogs in shelters have limited socialization exposure to people and urban environments. DoVE dogs also come from a traumatic background such as dog meat farms and slaughterhouses. While many of our dogs acclimate within a few months with consistency, structure, and patience, some of our more sensitive dogs can take longer to rehabilitate. It's important to note that these sensitive dogs are even more attuned to human emotions and behavior, making for a deeper connection human-dog connection. DoVE Project is committed to helping our adopters desensitize and socialize our dog meat trade survivors. ********************************* DoVE Project operates a shelter in South Korea, where our dogs stay until they are matched with an adopter. In the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names. Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. More about me: BREED: Jindo mix AGE: 27 months (DOB November 12, 2019). WEIGHT: 50 pounds HEALTH: Up to date with all my shots and spayed BEHAVIOR: Miuccia was very fearful when first rescued, but over the course of 2-3 months has made amazing progress. She will now even initiate cuddling and very much enjoys human interaction. It may take a second for her to warm up to strangers, but once she understands you are her friend, she will greet you very warmly (it may take a day or two). She kind of freezes when nervous. But she does have an independent streak and will most likely not suffer from separation anxiety even when left alone. BACKGROUND: She was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm. Story
Adoption Fee - $75. Weight - 50 Pounds. Age - 6 Years Old. Duke is a highly intelligent, active , loyal boy. He is an only dog and good for an active family. He loves being outdoors and taking long walks or hikes with his people. He requires a strong handler who can put him through all the training he has learned from Rob at The Bully Squad (see their Instagram page the bully squad). Duke comes with 2 FREE training lessons with The Bully Squad. He also comes with an 8 page owners manual. Duke needs a patient , loving family who have time and patience to let his wonderful personality shine through. Indoors , Duke is super chill and enjoys being in his comfy bed. He is also a cuddle bug indoors once he knows and trusts his family. He needs a family that does not have a lot of visitors coming in and out of the house. He does protect his family and territory. An apartment or home would be equally good for Duke as long as he can be active and taken on long walks.  Some of the training commands Duke knows are : Sit, Stay, Down, Paw or Other Paw, Place, Ok, Drop It, Leave It, Touch, Heel, and Go To Bed. Duke is house and crate trained and good with children 12 years old and older. He does need anxiety meds and if left alone all day will be fine as along as he is given his medication. Duke is slow to trust ( characteristic of the Jindo breed) but once trust is built up, he is loving and cuddly and your best friend. Duke is a loyal, active, loving, wonderful boy and deserves a forever loving family to call his own. Please give him the chance to thrive. If interested in adopting Duke, kindly fill out the application found here: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions In filling out this adoption application, I understand that Ozzie and Friends Rescue cannot guarantee that the dog applied for is yours to adopt upon completion of application. We also want to disclaim that all dogs are rescued so we cannot 100% know the exact breed.September 25, 2023, 9:58 pm

Sweet Ziggy is a lovely but shy girl. Her owner passed away from cancer and he was the love of Ziggy's life. She makes friends slowly but once she loves you, it's forever. Ziggy is of a petite built and very dainty and pretty. She's currently receiving obedience training and she's well behaved. Ziggy is looking for a calm, adult household with yard access. She tends to make friends with men faster than with women. Ziggy is currently in boarding and she really misses being in a home environment. This dog would also be happy to have a long term foster home. Thank you for your interest in adopting/fostering. Levi, Levi, Levi. Where do we begin? He is a 1 year old Jindo mix, who is up to date on medical including neutered. Levi is brilliant plain and simple. He has the squishiest face and bounciest ears. Scroll through the pictures to see how gentle he is with kids; he is just as gentle with other dogs. Did we mention Levi walks on leash and rides in the car like a dreamqq? He is extra good when he suspects you might be taking him to the dog beach and/or to get a pup cup. Levi was another dog who almost fell victim to the shelter system. A perfectly healthy and beyond adoptable dog in danger of loosing his life, simply because there was no space for him. We absolutely believe Levi deserves a place and it’s only a matter of time until a kind hearted person will fall in love with Levi and make him a part of the family.

Meet Dooly💜 Three siblings Dooly, Douner, and Ddochi were rescued from Korean city shelter where they lived for 2 months without their mom. Dooly received training at a training center and learned how to live with people. We hope and wish that Dooly will find a loving foster or forever family. ❤️‍🔥 * An adorable yellow boy with a sweet and lovable smile ❤️‍🔥 * Because he is living at Adogs center with a group of dogs, we don’t know if he has separation anxiety or if he is housebroken. 💟 Personality and characteristics * Keyword: Smiley #SmileyAngel #Timid * Energy level (1-10): lv.5~6 * We do not know his parents so we cannot predict how big he will be or how much he will shed. * He has cool yellow coat unlike his siblings Douner and Ddochi. * He was fearful and somewhat lacked social skills, but he is much better now after receiving training!👍🏻 * One slightly folded ear is his charm. ❤️

At first, she is wary, but after a few days once she feels familiar, she approaches slowly. * She stays still even when being lifted or hugged. * Gets along well with other dogs at the Center! When a dog is too proactive, she expresses dislike by growling. * She's indifferent to cats. * She has fluffy white double coat!

Meet Mina🩷 Unlike her muscular and sturdy appearance, she is a timid and gentle girl🤣 She is very fearful of people, but she so docile that she let’s people hugs and pet her. When she sees a stranger, she barks. She doesn’t play with other dogs often, but when she does, she plays really well! Being timid, she used to get attacked by other dogs, but she gets along well with other dogs now. 😃

Story
Coco is an Angel. She is a good dog and very very smart. She can get used to any new environment very quickly. She is house trained. Like any dog, she has a few faults. She has some separation anxiety that causes her to bite at doors, she will need some training for that. She is crate trained, I can provide you with two large crates for your use. As a chow chow she is very protective, she has been an amazing guard dog and protected me in many situations which I will forever be grateful for. She is a great emotional support dog and has supported me emotionally for quite some time now. As a chow chow, she has some aggressive tendencies, there are some rules that I can teach you on how to introduce her to new people. She is not good with dogs. She loves to run around, so if you have a backyard, like to go on adventures, hiking and nature stuff, she’s the dog for you.
