Story
Estella is a sweet, mellow, adorably cute little girl who looks like a Labradoodle (a mix of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle), a Scottish Terrier (Scotty) and Portuguese Water Dog blend. Stella is very, very shy and needs a patient, quiet, and affectionate person to bring her out of her shell. She’s only about 2 years old and although she is so very timid, she has absolutely no fear aggression – she’s probably just been neglected her whole young life. This sweet and gentle pupper is looking for a home with a loving person who can give her the affection she deserves. I’ve been doing rescue and foster for over 30 years (!), and the most significant thing I’ve learned is that these shy doggies become the most loyal and devoted best buddies in the world because love and care is what they’ve craved their entire lives. Stella is full grown at 30 pounds and has a soft, curly,non-shedding coat. She’d be great for someone with dog allergies! She’s great with all other dogs, with kitties, and even with farm animals. She’d be fine with older kids who are calm and affectionate. Stella is a bit special – she really needs a sweet one-on-one relationship. She’s housetrained and leash trained, and she comes when she is called – she doesn’t dig in the or wander off. Of course, she’s spayed and up-to-date on her shots. I’m a firm believer in allowing people to have a “sleepover” with their potential new best buddy to ensure that you, your family, and your other companion pets all get along. We always take our puppers back if things don’t work out. If you think you have the love, patience, and warmth for an adorably sweet (and hypoallergenic!) girl like Stella, please email findabestbuddy@gmail.com or call 858-602-2061 .

Story
Hello, meet Benito aka Bubba:) Benito is a 4 year old, more or less Labradoodle and Wirehaired Pointer. He was found with his hair so tangled that we had to give him a very short hair cut. Accidently the groomer at that event who did his hair cut; his ears accidently because the ears were so damaged by the hair. So he is missing a small piece on both ears. He is very calm; not a barker, if you put him in crate is like he doesn't exist. He is such a good boy, very easy going - gets along with all dogs - not sure about cats as we have not fostered him around cats. He loves to go for walks and loves car rides:) He is very submissive - not aggressive that all. He is being fostered with other 20 dogs, of all sizes and ages:) He will give you a hand shake - well a paw shake:) He will make a wonderful addition to any family or a solo person who loves a calm dog. Benito is a survivor of Distemper - this means he will never get the disease again and he can life up to 15 years old of life as some of our survivors have done:) Are you ready to give him a forever home? Story
Adoption Event: Please let us know if you want this beauty to be at our semi-monthly adoption event by texting us at 619-576-0747 Our sweet Dalila is a female 50 pounds rescued girl, who loves to run and play fetch!! . Dalila is an ideal medium size, has a nice coat, low shedding and semi-hypoallergenic as she is a mixed of Labradoodle and German Shorthaired Pointer and Border Terrier. Hard to find a medium to large size low shedding-hypoallernic rescued pets due that the majority are small breeds:) She will be ideal for any family. However, an active family will be ideal for her sweet and playful temperament. She is good with people and children, and currently being fostered with another 18 dogs:) She will need basic training such as basic commands and to be leashed trained as she has been at the sanctuary running free but goes to a crate in the evenings to sleep - therefore, she is crate trained as well :) Not sure about how she is with cats but she is a pup still and trainable. Are you ready to give her a forever home? Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in its entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/
