Hello, meet Benito aka Bubba:) Benito is a 4 year old, more or less Labradoodle and Wirehaired Pointer. He was found with his hair so tangled that we had to give him a very short hair cut. Accidently the groomer at that event who did his hair cut; his ears accidently because the ears were so damaged by the hair. So he is missing a small piece on both ears. He is very calm; not a barker, if you put him in crate is like he doesn't exist. He is such a good boy, very easy going - gets along with all dogs - not sure about cats as we have not fostered him around cats. He loves to go for walks and loves car rides:) He is very submissive - not aggressive that all. He is being fostered with other 20 dogs, of all sizes and ages:) He will give you a hand shake - well a paw shake:) He will make a wonderful addition to any family or a solo person who loves a calm dog. Hard to find a medium to large size low shedding-hypoallernic rescued pets due that the majority are small breeds:) She will be ideal for any family. However, an active family will be ideal for her sweet and playful temperament. I’m a Yellow Lab mix, 2.5 years old, about 65 pounds, and yes, I’m blind in both eyes. I may still see shadows, but I get around just fine using my other senses. I’m neutered, up to date on all my shots, heartworm negative, and ready for my next chapter. I lost my vision a while back, and after that, my family took me to the shelter. They didn’t have space for a dog like me anymore. It happens, but it doesn’t mean I’ve lost my joy or my hope. I may be blind, but I’m still full of life, love, and a whole lot of personality. I’ve learned to adapt quickly to new environments. Once I get the lay of the land, I’m good to go. You don’t need to change your house or move your furniture. Just give me a little time, and I’ll learn my way around. I’m a smart guy, and I never give up. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s mastered the art of resilience, that’s me. I love to take long walks. I may not see the path, but I sure love to smell it, hear it, and feel the world beneath my paws. I love life. I flop on my side, tongue out, just to ask for pets. If you sit, I’ll be there nudging your hand for love. I move from person to person like I’m handing out smiles. I ended up in a crowded shelter after getting lost or left behind. It was loud and overwhelming. I landed on the list no dog wants to be on. But someone believed in me and pulled me out.
