Billy Boy, Our One-Of-A-Kind Superdawg Billy boy found himself as one of the longest residents at a shelter in Southern California. He was there for over 100 hundred days, had been in many play groups, and extremely social with people and other four legged friends. He thought he had been lucky and found a home but was brought back after 24 hours because he was so excited they felt he had too much energy. Now he’s been rescued and is looking for his new family. Reader: Goofball, Lovebug, Ball-Chaser Extraordinaire I don’t know how I got my name, since I can’t read, but I do know how to bring joy wherever I go. I’m a 1.5-year-old chocolate Lab mix, about 50 pounds of happy-go-lucky, tail-wagging energy. My pictures don't do me justice. I am more handsome! And... I’m a total goof. I love people. I love dogs. I love life. I flop on my side, tongue out, just to ask for pets. If you sit, I’ll be there nudging your hand for love. I move from person to person like I’m handing out smiles. I ended up in a crowded shelter after getting lost or left behind. It was loud and overwhelming. I landed on the list no dog wants to be on. But someone believed in me and pulled me out. Now I’m in Georgia, waiting for the kind of person who wants to meet me. I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready for a forever home. I get along great with other dogs and walk well on a leash. I haven’t met cats yet, but we can take that slow. I’m gentle with kids and a big fan of their snack-dropping skills. And the ball. I love the ball. I don’t always bring it back, but I chase it with my whole heart. If you have a kiddie pool, even better. Splashing around is one of my favorite ways to spend the afternoon. Valor loves to play with other dogs so we would like to see that aspect of his life continue but have a loving family who will make him their family. Valor loves water, car rides, walks and pretty much ANYTHING you want to do. He IS the perfect best friend!!!! Personality: Loyal, Loving, Smart, Highly Trainable, Playful, Friendly, Sweet Needs: A soft gentle family. Loving, kind, playful, engaging, active. Valor has grown up in his loving foster home with several other pups. Because of this, we really want him to go to a home that has a polite, playful companion and a family who will provide him with water fun, exploration, walks and bring him in as a full loving companion. Valor's Mom is a German Shep Dog and his Dad was a Black Labrador. Valor's Story: Valor's Momma "Mia" gave birth to 10 puppies on a blazing hot summer day under a boulder on an abandoned illegal pot farm. We were able to retrieve them on DAY and raise them in our loving care. ALL of the other pups got adopted except Valor and through no fault of his own. Black dogs are always last, sadly. Valor does not know he is not with his forever home. He is happy, loving and leads a rich life with walks, lake play, and doggy play. He eats premium food and sleeps indoors with his family. Bear is a 3 year old male Labrador retriever/ border collie. He was born 10/31/22. We acquired Bear at 6 weeks old due to him and his litter mates being sent to a shelter. When meeting Bear, we fell inlove with his sweet personality and his bear cub appearance. Unfortunately, Bear is an alpha dog. He doesn’t like our male golden. And we’ve decided that to have both male dogs have a better quality of life with less stress, Bear needs to find another loving home. Bear is very sweet with all people, especially kids. He’s never bitten. He does like to grab onto clothes when he’s excited. I believe this is his way of communicating he’s happy. He’s crate trained. Very intelligent. Very loving. He doesn’t like to swim but rather lay in the sun, taking a nap. He loves walks! He will be available asap. His crate and dog food will be apart of his adoption. We pray that a loving family will take this love bug in.
