I’m neutered, up to date on all my shots, heartworm negative, and ready for my next chapter. I lost my vision a while back, and after that, my family took me to the shelter. They didn’t have space for a dog like me anymore. It happens, but it doesn’t mean I’ve lost my joy or my hope. I may be blind, but I’m still full of life, love, and a whole lot of personality. I’ve learned to adapt quickly to new environments. Once I get the lay of the land, I’m good to go. You don’t need to change your house or move your furniture. Just give me a little time, and I’ll learn my way around. I’m a smart guy, and I never give up. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s mastered the art of resilience, that’s me. I love to take long walks. I may not see the path, but I sure love to smell it, hear it, and feel the world beneath my paws. I get along great with other dogs and have met a few cats too — we just kind of do our own thing. I don’t chase, and I don’t bother them. Hi, I’m Ember, a 2-year-old golden mix with a gentle heart and a calm, warm, and loving soul. I ended up in a shelter in Georgia after being found as a stray with another dog, but Angel Dog Alliance rescued me and gave me a second chance. I can be a little timid at first, but it doesn't take me long to warm up to you, and come on over for scrathes and cuddles! When you look at me, my tail starts to wag and I lean in for snuggles. I love giving kisses and being close.  I weigh about 50 pounds, have soft fluffy fur, and I’m always looking for love and someone I can give all my love back to. I’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time because I just want to be near my people. I’m calm, gentle, and love a quiet day filled with belly rubs and cuddles. I’m learning to walk nicely on a leash and working on basic obedience. I don’t jump or pull, and I try my best to be a good girl every single day. I’m spayed, fully vaccinated, and had my teeth cleaned so I’ve got bright pearly whites. I’m also receiving my heartworm treatment, which Angel Dog Alliance is taking care of completely. I’m hoping to spend my first real Christmas with a family of my own, so I can be wrapped in love. I’m calm, kind, and ready to belong.
