Story
Meet Benny, the ultimate companion who is quite literally down for anything! The one thing you need to know about Benny, is that he’s gonna be involved! This large lab mix is curious and happy to be a part of it all.    If you are looking for a four-legged shadow, an enthusiastic partner-in-crime, and a professional couch snuggler all wrapped into one, you just found your perfect match.    Benny is the definition of Mr. Adaptable. Whether you are loading up the car for a rugged weekend hiking trip or just heading to the drive-thru for a coffee run, Benny will be the first one waiting by the door, tail wagging and ready to roll.   What truly sets this sweet pup apart is an unmatched level of inclusion and FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Benny doesn't care what the itinerary is, he just wants to be with you. And he will provide you with full body wiggles of excitement to prove it.    The strict facts about Benny include the following: he absolutely loves other dogs and is incredibly respectful and playful, loves cats and has been cat tested, and is potty and crate trained.    He is a professional food enthusiast with an appetite for life (and snacks)! Because he is highly food motivated, he is an absolute dream to train. He will do just about anything for a treat. He does take his job as the household "cleanup crew" very seriously and will gladly help you vacuum up any dropped crumbs. Since he thinks everything is a potential delicacy, you'll just want to keep an eye on him to make sure his adventurous palate stays focused on actual dog food and not your favorite socks.    Adopt Benny, and you will have the best companion for life ##2842212##

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: 5-year-old neutered male transferred from Española Humane Society, NM. Intake type was seized/custody/owner surrender. Up to date on all vaccines prior to transport. From the foster: Sweet mature pup ready to join your family. Come meet Snoops, a 5+ year young gorgeous pup that will absolutely steel your heart with his happy nature and beautiful brown eyes. He is a shadow, has FOMO and is pure Velcro, wanting to know what you are up to at all times. He will happily escort you from room to room to ensure your safety and happily accept snacks as a reward for his hard work. He is just as happy laying next to you on the couch or taking a snooze under your desk as you work. He is not a barker, so you can take that conference call with no interruption. Temperament: Snoop is great with other dogs. If you have a very confident cat he may do well, but introductions should be very slow. Kiddo’s: I would suggest older kiddo’s for Snoop. Snoop has strong opinions about being lifted, nudged or boosted. It will take time to build trust. Instead of trying to “force” him, Snoops can easily be coaxed with cheese, a high value treat or his leash. Potty: Hallelujah, this boy is fully potty trained! He will go potty in our dog yard, but prefers a walk in the morning and after dinner. Don’t worry, his walks don’t need to be long, he gets his business out of the way pretty quickly. He is a bit of a puller on the leash, but it’s to get to his favorite potty spot, once that is done, he settles down a bit and focuses on what there is to sniff. As far as a yard, it’s preferred, he loves to lay in the shade and watch planes, birds, bugs and wildlife while lazily sniffing the air. To crate or not to crate: He is comfortable in a crate. We crate him when we sleep at night, although he would probably prefer to be on the bed with his people if they are okay with that. We also crate him when we leave the house. I really feel like he wouldn’t need a crate, but we (fosters) have such little time with them to see if they have anxiety when we leave, we are just being cautious. When crated he has a few little whimpers, but then settles down quickly. Cheese gets him in his crate with no complaints and when we return he is relaxed and usually sleeping. Snoops is a really loving soul with a wiggle butt that is constantly in motion. Come meet him this Saturday, he can’t wait to start his forever life with you. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
