This sweet, loving girl is naturally shy and approaches the world with careful, thoughtful steps. Once she feels safe, her true personality blossoms, revealing a devoted companion whose entire world revolves around giving and receiving quiet affection. Pinky dreams of a cozy corner, a patient friend, and endless soft-spoken cuddles to help her confidence grow. If you have a peaceful home and a big heart, Pinky is ready to shower you with gentle, unconditional love. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Pinky can initially be a little shy but she comes out of her shell quickly, especially when a dog friend or treats are involved! She would love a family who likes some outdoor time but also love some time at home (she's the perfect excuse to turn down those plans you didn't really want to do anyway). Though she's a homebody at heart, she's learning there's some cool stuff outside those walls too! Story | This pup was rescued from the urgent euthanasia list in Roswell, NM. Saved with moments to space, we’re grateful they are now part of MHLM!Dogs | Pinky LOVES dog friends. She would be best matched with another confident, playful pup. Though she starts as a bit of a wallflower, her personality shines with dog friends. They just need to love to play as much as she does! Cats | Pinky does a first class job patrolling the yard for squirrels and bunnies - kitties just may be a bit too tempting to chase. Children | Pinky would thrive with kiddos who are kind and understand that she may need a bit of time to adjust to new spaces. Older school-aged kiddos would be recommendedTraining | Pinky has completed almost TWELVE WEEKS of in-depth training. If you've seen any of her videos on socials, you can see she knows all the tricks. Our wonderful training partner has also helped Pinky feel much more comfortable outside her house and yard. She will need consistent structure and patience, but her trainer and MHLRM will be helping every step of the way! Pinky has truly shown how much potential she has to be a wonderful companion and family memberLeash | Awesome on leashActivity Level | Moderate. Health Notes | Healthy and happy!Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.June 3, 2026, 12:34 pm
