We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Like a rare and brilliant gem, Dumond is a merle speckled pup who dazzles everyone he meets. He has a lively, cheerful spirit and loves bounding around the yard after his favorite toys. After a fun session of play, this sweet pup is more than happy to shine as your dedicated lap dog. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Super sweet and happy! Very playful, doting, and adoring. Story | This crew's mama was found in a hoarding house outside of Dallas with 41 other dogs. Once she arrived in foster, it became clear she was pregnant, and she went on to give birth to 11 perfect puppies! Now the whole family is making their way north to Colorado to find their forever homes!Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Born to a litter of 11, so they know how to share, haha! Cats | Young enough to do well with kitties with proper intros!Children | Young enough to do well with kind, respectful kiddos. Would love lots of snuggles and pets! Training | In progress. Each foster works with their pups individually. All puppies are working on crate training, potty training, leash training, and basic commands. Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows 'No Paws on the Ground' (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks.Activity Level | Moderate/High. Typical puppy who loves to play, nap, repeat!Health Notes | Healthy and Happy :)Thank you! Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in.
