Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application. Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Marvin is a charming and sweet little dude who is ready to fill your life with love and laughter! This little guy has a wonderfully curious nature and approaches every new experience with playful enthusiasm. Marvin is all about getting the most out of life: whether he's chasing a ball, learning a new trick, or snuggling up for a cozy nap. He's looking for a fun and dedicated family who will appreciate his gentle heart and his endless supply of puppy devotion. Marvin is ready to be your happy, loyal companion! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | This little guy is so happy and fun. He wants to play hard and sleep hard. His eye contact with humans is amazing. He follows us everywhere we go, except the stairs seem very scary, so we are slowly working on those. He is soooo snuggly and sweet when you hold him. He did great on a couple car rides. Besides very soft whining when he wants his dog brother to play with him we have not heard him make any noise. He is exremely curious about everything and seems to be ready to fetch a tennis ball at any time. Marvin seems like the best little puppy. Other Dogs | He is great with other dogs. He is absolutely perfect little companion for our 3 1/2 year old Black lab mix. He is submissive to him and listens to him when he needs a little break. He loves his foster brother and was the perfect playmate with both a little Westie and an 80 pound lab.Cats | We do not own any cats but think he could adapt well to having a kitty friend. Children | We have not been around any young children yet but he has been very friendly with all the adults and teenagers he has met. He definitly has little sharp puppy teeth that he uses to play with.Training | He loves his crate! He went in and out of it all day and spent 7 hours in it overnight without a peep and kept his crate dry. He mastered the dog door already and has only peed on the puppy pads a couple times, otherwise has figured out his spot in the yard to take care of business. He seems very smart and treat motivated. He is very good at "sit" and seems to fully embrace the word "treat".Leash | So far he thinks his leash is toy so we will start walking with the leash more consistently soon!Activity Level | Marvin plays very hard and loves his toys and then he also naps very hard. He loves a little dog bed. His favorite toys so far seem to be squeaky stuffed animals which he adorably carries around. He curls up to nap frequently on a dog bed or in my lap.Health Notes | Nice shiny coat!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!December 22, 2025, 12:52 am
