Story
Joe is a happy, healthy, and very active 1.3 year old Labradoodle. He’s whip smart and loves to please. Our hearts are broken. Due to health reasons we need to leave our beautiful Colorado home and we’ll need to rehome Joe. Joe loves to play, but needs a little work on his leash manners. He’s starting to learn tricks. All things normal for a young dog. However, Joe does display signs of previous trauma and needs a patient, loving home. He would do best as an only dog but with plenty of socialization!

These pups are in Aurora, Colorado too!

Story
Afina is the cutest munchkin in the world! At just 2-1/2 years old and only 35 pounds, she loves her toys (especially her pineapple squeaky toy) and will always want to play, wiggling her entire body when she is happy.  She also will never complain about sleeping for hours and just laying low. She walks perfectly on a leash, is house trained, and will adjust to any activity level. She can be a bit shy and timid at first, but once she gets comfortable with you, she loves being the sweetest and silliest version of herself. Afina is perfectly content with her small bubble of humans and would prefer not to have unfamiliar people or furry ones in her personal space. She needs to be the only pup in home and prefers the company of women. Once she is able to trust you fully, she is the sweetest little love bug that will provide you ample love and company for a lifetime if you give her the chance.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $300. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Story
Jax is very affectionate and loving. He’s a good family dog and loves walks. I have owned him since he was a puppy in 2016, but my family and circumstances have changed and I am now his only caretaker (down from 5 people) and I’m now having to work full time outside the home. He needs more time and attention than I can give. I just want him to be happy and get more attention and love.

Story
Gaze into his eyes and cute Canelo will capture your heart! All 43 lbs of this 10.5-month-old boy are sweet, social, easygoing, and happy. He enjoys walks, playing with stuffie toys, chasing tennis balls, chewing on sturdy rubber toys, with breaks in between for cuddle time. Canelo loves playing with other dogs and joyfully greets new people. He’s working on his leash skills and is almost fully crate and house-trained. Motivated by food, love, and toys, he currently knows “sit,” "down," and “off” and if you’ve got a treat, he’s happy to learn more! Now all Canelo marshmallow needs is an active and loving home, with adopter(s) ready to take him on adventures, give him endless belly rubs, complete his training, and adore him for all of his days!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home.
