Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada in Clifton, TX, pregnant adult dog, reportedly 2-3 weeks out from delivering puppies (as of Dec 10th) From the foster: Some dogs are easy. Some dogs are extraordinary for the right person. Mama Sugar is the latter. After spending the past few months lovingly raising her puppies in foster care, Sugar is finally ready for a family of her own. Sugar is incredibly affectionate and deeply loyal. She forms strong bonds with the people she trusts and loves being close to her humans. She has a gentle, sensitive soul and thrives in a calm, patient environment where she feels safe. She is also very athletic with endless energy and absolutely loves long walks, runs, and outdoor adventures. Sugar will do best with an active family who enjoys being outside and can give her the exercise she needs to truly thrive. Sugar is fully potty trained, respectful inside the home, and does not require a crate. She enjoys having her own chew toys and settles nicely when her exercise needs are met. She is still working on leash manners and is very strong, so she currently walks best using a harness. Sugar absolutely loves people, including children, but she is still learning about personal space and can get very excited when greeting or playing. Because she is strong and enthusiastic, she may accidentally knock over smaller children, so she would do best with older or sturdy kids or adults who can help continue teaching calm greetings. Sugar also has a natural instinct to chase moving animals, so she will need a home without cats or other small animals. Her ideal home would include: • An active household • A secure fenced yard • No cats or small animals • Older or sturdy kids due to her enthusiastic greetings Sugar can be unsure around men, loud voices, or sudden dramatic movements, so a calm and understanding family will help her continue building confidence. This special girl has clearly been through a lot in her life, but her heart is full of love and she continues to blossom more every day in foster care. With the right family, Sugar will be an incredibly devoted companion and loyal best friend. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Fresca Fund/Family Pet Care in Fort Worth, TX, (maybe) mom dog (Lola) and (maybe) daughter (Domino) believed to be somewhat bonded pair. Both were owner-surrenders but with some sporadic, documented health history from the same vet clinic. ***Lola and Domino will not be attending adoption events unless someone has reserved them or emailed to confirm intent to meet them. Please reach out if you'd like to set up a meet and greet with them.*** From the foster: Lola and Domino are *maybe* mother and daughter, *maybe* sisters, or maybe just bonded dogs who lived together. They're believed to do best together. Lola being around 14 years old (this is the info she came with, but we also suspect she might be closer to 11 years old based on our sleuthing), we're hoping to keep them together. One word to describe Domino is CHILL. She enjoys going for walks and being outside, but is also happy snuggling in her bed. Domino is fully potty-trained, sleeps through the night, and is good with other dogs. If you are looking for an easygoing companion, Domino is the girl for you! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
0526016 - Meet Yuki! If you've been waiting for a sign to adopt — this is it. Yuki is a 9-month-old white lab mix who looks like a little stuffed animal brought to life. At just 35 lbs, she's the perfect size — big enough to adventure with you, small enough to curl up next to you the second you sit down. Her name means snow and happiness, and she is just as magical. This girl is a certified love bug. She follows her humans from room to room, melts completely into your touch, and soaks up every ounce of affection you give her — then pays it back in snuggles. She wants to be near you, with you, and loved by you, and she will make you feel like the luckiest person alive for it. She's also got a playful side that keeps up with the big kids — she spends her days romping and wrestling with her 2-year-old German Shepherd foster brother and holds her own every single time. If you've got a dog at home, she will absolutely be their new best friend. She's also had zero accidents inside, learned the dog door in a single day, and is already nailing basic commands. Food motivated and wickedly smart — training her is a genuine joy. When she's not chasing a ball or showing off her toy collection, you'll find her melted into the fluffiest dog bed she can find. Crate trained, sleeps through the night — yes, she's somehow that wonderful. Yuki deserves a forever home that matches every bit of love she gives. Could that be yours? Fill out an application at www.SloppyKisses.org to meet her. ##2732913##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Hi, my name is Greg, and I might just be the most adorable dog ever (at least, I think so)! Who can resist a nearly 100-pound, 3-year-old lap dog who just wants to please you? I'm a loyal Lab mix with a heart full of love. I’m happiest when I’m by your side—whether that’s going for a car ride, taking long walks, or just relaxing at home. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and have lived with kids of all ages and small dogs my whole life. I love them all! Sadly, I recently and unexpectedly lost my human mama, and my world has been turned upside down. The kind people at 2BABR promised to help me find a new family to love, and I hope that family is you! I’d love a patient and loving home where I can take my time warming up to new people. I can be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be your most devoted companion. Just look into my eyes—you’ll see how special I am! I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Could you be the family I’ve been waiting for? Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1646717##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!!  Hi, my name is Sierra! I am a super sweet girl looking for someone who will love me furever. I am a delightful 8-year-old Lab/Pointer mix brimming with sweetness! I am well acquainted with kids, and when we go for walks and I see little people, I can't wait to say hi to them. My foster mom has a lot of family that come to visit me, and I love it when they do! One of them is older, and I know to be extra careful with her, too. Not to toot my own horn, but I do have quite the resume. I’m a training graduate with all my obedience skills down, and I am crate and house-trained. I get along with other dogs with a proper introduction. I'm good on a leash and will follow your lead, but do love a good sniff sesh if given the opportunity. I’d do best in a home without cats or other small animals. I’m up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and ready to meet you! My perfect life is a house with a big backyard, lots of walks, lots of cookies, cuddling on the couch or in bed watching TV and chasing bunnies. If you want the same thing, let's meet! Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Recipe for your new best friend: a dash of love and affection, a pinch of snuggles, and a whole lot of Sugar! Sugar is a 9-year-old lab/shepherd mix and weighs around 70 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, is house trained and crate trained.  Her crate is her safe place.  As always going to a new home she will welcome a little reinforcement on the house rules, but has figured it out very quickly in her current foster home.  She was trained to an invisible fence in under 30 minutes.  She is a VERY smart dog. Sugar really does have it all: the looks, the manners (she sits with her front paws crossed all the time, so cute), and the drive to be the very best friend around. She successfully completed a three-month board-and-train program at Golden Heart Canine where she was a star pupil, and those skills have stuck with her! She has fantastic leash manners, knows all the basic commands and does very well off leash in the right circumstances. Coming back when called, unless a squirl is around. An added bonus is that Sugar is very treat motivated, so she’s always eager to learn new skills and tricks. You can put a treat at her feet and tell her to "leave it" and she will!!  She has waited for several minutes before being told it is "OK" or "release" before going for the treat.  She is very eager to please her master(s). Sugar is quite an active girl, and always smiles when she’s out on walks and hikes. She LOVES playing with other dogs, always asking permission, and then approaching her fellow canines with many lady-like grunts to let you know that the wrestling match has begun.  In her current foster home she is best friends with a 10 year old big black male lab, Chester.  From day one they were comfortable with each other.   Sugar is the biggest sweetheart that has overcome a lot to reach this point. She was adopted as a puppy and never socialized, returned to the rescue as a very shy, easily frightened adult. Sugar has improved her social butterfly status so much but will still require more than one meet and greet to become more comfortable with you. That being said, once Sugar comes out of her shell there’s no putting her back in! She really makes you feel like the most important person on the planet, even if you were only gone for five minutes. Sugar is looking for her people to share kisses with, grab a good belly rub from, and take some Colorado joyrides in the car. She reaches peak happiness when poking her head out the window feeling the wind rushing through her fur! If you can show her patience and take the necessary steps to help Sugar trust you, she will reward you with unending love and affection. Sugar can be unsure of new people coming into her area. So a controlled introduction is required. She does need time to be comfortable with new people and should be watched to prevent Sugar from doing a nip from the back, fear based sneak attack style.  On the positive side she will let you know if there is someone at the door.  So her mild fear issues can be a positive in being a good watch dog.  She is very happy in a crate, so if people are coming over it is very easy to tell her to go to her crate and contain her there. Even when invited out later, she is happy to stay in there to avoid new people. Sugar had a great summer in 2025, vastly improving her social skills and tempering her fear issues mentioned above.  She went on a 4 1/2 month RV trip with her foster family (including Chester) to northern Canada (Northwest Territory and Yukon) and Alaska.  Traveling 14,000 miles in the RV and another 6,000 miles exploring in the Jeep.  She did GREAT in the RV, campgrounds, around the campfire and sitting at outdoor restaurants with travelers that flew in or took a cruise to Alaska without their dogs.  She was loved on by many strangers that were missing their own dogs and did great.  She attended "Chicken Stock" a 2 day bluegrass festival and walked in the dog parade with 100s of other dogs.  In the right places she did great playing off leash, coming back when called.  She did not know how to swim at the start of the trip, but now knows she can swim, although she still needs more practice.   Sugar's ideal house is with another dog to play with, has no feline friends or other small mammals (including children!) for right now. Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Single neutered male transferred from Española Humane Society in New Mexico. Approximately 1.5 years old at the time of intake. Originally found as a stray wandering on a reservation site. Neutered and up to date on vaccines prior to transport. From the foster: Meet Chaco, our fluffy teddy bear! At a little over a year and a half old, Chaco is full of love and personality. He absolutely adores people and would much rather soak up pets and attention from his humans than spend time playing with other dogs. While he gets along well with other dogs, he’s happiest right by your side. Chaco is potty trained, knows basic commands, and listens well because he truly wants to make his people happy. He’s a smart boy with a big heart. One thing to know about Chaco is that he does not do well in a crate and would thrive in a home where he can safely free roam. He may whine a little when his humans leave because he loves being around people, but he is not destructive — he just misses you. Chaco is a sweet, fluffy boy looking for a family to shower with love and affection. Come meet him this Saturday at the adoption event! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Litter of 2 (1M, 1F) transferred from Second Chance Dog Rescue in TX. Puppies were rejected by mom and separated from litter to be bottle raised at a few days old. Transferred to CPR at approximately 5 weeks old. *My litter is scheduled for spay/neuter on 5/18 and expected to be available on 5/23* From the foster: Meet Minnie (525) — a bold, spunky little pup with a big personality! Full of energy and curiosity, Minnie is always ready for her next adventure. She loves to explore everything around her, including your fingers which she’s pretty sure are chew toys. It’s all part of typical puppy behavior, but she’ll thrive with a family ready to guide her as she learns and grows. Minnie does well with other dogs and has been good with the toddler in her foster home - other than teething on her fingers, toes and nose. Minnie will be a fun and social addition to any family with a natural confidence as she tends to take the lead, happily exploring her surroundings before settling in for some well-earned snuggles. She’s still very young and hasn’t had much formal potty training yet, but she’s about 50/50 with a potty pad and will continue to improve with consistency and routine. She does well at night sleeping in a play pen with her brother, though they don't make it through the night without a potty break yet. If you’re looking for a playful, adventurous pup who will keep life exciting and then curl up beside you to recharge, Minnie is ready to meet you! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

This tiny, but round, cuddle bug is happiest when curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love he can get.
