Story
Leo is a 5-year-old Labradoodle who’s been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old. He’s social, affectionate, and playful — a sweet, active dog who loves being around people and other dogs. He’s lived with children and does well in a family setting. Leo is house-trained, vaccinated, and in good health overall, though he has a sensitive stomach. He gets excited on walks and can pull on leash at times, but he’s a quick learner and will benefit from consistent training and structure. As our family has grown and health needs have changed, we’re no longer able to give Leo the time and attention he deserves. This decision comes from love and a desire to find a home where he can thrive. Leo would do best with someone who can provide regular activity, training, and lots of love. 🐾 Adoption fee is negotiable for the right home — the priority is finding the best fit for Leo.

Story
Heather is a four month old F1B standard chocolate labradoodle. She is bubbly, sweet, cuddly, cute, extremely smart. She has had zero accidents since we have fostered her. She loves bones, and crinkly squeaky stuffed toys. She is still a puppy so obedience is a work in progress, we have worked on sit, down, and walking on the leash, these will need to be continued in her new home. With continued training she would make a fantastic family pet, therapy dog, or even service dog. She was temperament tested, for service dog selection and scored the highest out of the litter. She really is sweet, and I'm sure once you meet her she'll have you wrapped around her paw, too. She will go home with her pink bone, a couple of her stuffies, she does not tear them up, and a good bit of her food to get her and her new family started, as well as her leash and collar.

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G5d1Z7b-ae0 Jabarkus is an 11 month old sweetheart who almost died in a high kill shelter just because they had too many dogs and black dogs often get overlooked. He weighs about 45 lbs and is an absolute angel. Great with people, dogs of all sizes, and with cats. He walks well on the leash and does well in the crate. He is the perfect dog. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
