However he does need some time to build a relationship and get to know you. He can be sensitive about new situations but is realizing that he doesn’t have to be scared of novel experiences. Austin enjoys being around his dog friends and can adapt his place style to his friends’ needs. He is his most confident with his dog friends and we believe he would do best in a home with another dog. Right now Austin is working on his leash skills with the youth, and enjoying going on long walks on campus with staff. He is still a bit anxious to focus on basic obedience, so we work on pattern games to help hims regulate his anxieties and counter conditioning his nerves around people and new situations. If you’re looking for a dog who makes you feel chosen when he loves up on you, Austin might be that special one. He just wants someone to take the time to make him feel comfortable, safe, and secure. Austin’s ideal home would have another dog, to help him gain confidence, a family with patience to understand that he will need their help to navigate the world. Austin has had a home visit in the past and we learned that in that environment he shows some reactivity to strangers and other dogs. POOCH would be providing at least one training session with our lead trainer to help Austin learn the ropes and settle into a new home. If you’re looking for a dog who makes you feel chosen when he loves up on you, Austin might be that special one. Bonus, he can be ultra goofy!

Hi there! My name is Barry, and I’m an 8-year-old, 90-pound Labradoodle with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty of love to give! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who enjoys both outdoor adventures and a good snuggle, I might be your guy! I’ve spent my whole life with my family, growing up alongside children and other dogs. I love people of all ages, although sometimes I get a little excited when saying hello! I’m generally friendly with other dogs, though I can occasionally be a bit indifferent to them. I haven’t met any cats, so I’m not sure what I think about those little creatures. Don’t let my age fool you! I still love running around, playing fetch, and exploring. I’m also a big fan of hugs and snuggling. I know several commands, including sit, lay down, come, and even sit pretty! I’m food motivated, which could make learning new things together a lot of fun. For the past several years, I’ve spent most of my time outdoors in a fenced yard and slept in a kennel in the garage. I was housetrained as a youngster, but since I haven’t lived indoors for a while, I may need a refresher. I’m crate trained, ride nicely in the car (although I get pretty excited!), and could use some practice walking politely on a leash. My family loves me very much, but unfortunately, my shedding causes allergies in our household. They want me to find a wonderful home where I can be fully embraced for the big, lovable guy I am. My dream family would appreciate a large, affectionate dog, give me room to run, and help me enjoy more walks and adventures. I’m not a fan of thunderstorms or fireworks, so a little reassurance during loud noises would mean a lot. I’ve got so much love left to give. Could you be my next best friend? She sleeps in her crate at night and for most of the day on the couch. She gets along with our chickens and is interested in cats.Luna is:• Great with young children, they try riding her around the house even.• Housetrained and well-behaved indoors• Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on health details• A high-energy companion who loves outdoor adventuresLuna requires a home with a yard where she can run and play. We are looking for an active owner who has time for daily exercise and quality time.Her only issues are she will steal unattended food and barks if you put her outside but do not join her out there. She will also run to greet people and it is a hazard at our house as we have many stairs and kids/elderly.Please no small apartments as she is a bigger dog

Olive is a living adaptable female dog. We acquired her from a mutual friend of one of our daughters. Olive is 12-13 years old, we aren’t sure of her exact age wheel we got her. We believe she was around 2-3. She lives walks Ava is friendly around older large dogs not so much with small dogs. She lives to meet new people and have them pet and play with her. We are just not able to provide the activity levels she likes to enjoy.
