Story
Morris is a 8 year old black labradoodle with a wired coat (he does shed) and Opal is a 7 year old apricot poodle. At this time we are only open to rehoming them together. Both dogs are loving and playful. Morris enjoys fetch and they both like to go on walks, but also do fine without and just having time to play in the yard. Both love attention, and will try to convince any visitors that they are starved for attention. Opal loves to cuddle, and will curl into a small ball next to someone on the couch. They are crate trained and stay well in their crates when home alone. We have continued to crate them while we are gone due to Opal finding things to eat or chew if we don’t. They love to chew on bones, but Opal can be a destructive chewer, so she shouldn’t be left unsupervised with things like balls and soft toys. They do great with kids and cats, however they tend to be a bit unsure about other dogs. Adoption fee can be negotiated for the right home. They will come with supplies

What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things. I already know some basic cues such as, sit & stay, and I'm putting in the work on walking nicely on leash.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I LOVE toys! I'll show you my favorites when we meet.I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you.I really enjoy the company of my human friends. The type of home I'm looking for: I need to go to a home without small children. I may accidently knock them over in my excitement or try to steal their toys to play with.I need to be the only dog in the home.I need a home without cats or other small animals. It could be with you! Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me. Story
Remi is a sweet 4yo chocolate lab-pit mix who loves to cuddle and is wonderful with kids. She was a rescue and has been in one other home before us. She's fully house trained and thrives on a consistent routine. Remi is protective in the best way - yout'll always know if someone approaches your home, but she very rarely barks. She has some past trauma with other dogs, so she can be on edge around unfamiliar ones, but with people she is friendly and obedient. She understands commands like "no" and "down" (meaning back away), and she listens well. Highly food-motivated, she's both trainable and fun! She'll happily catch kibble in midair.
