Story
Hi there, I'm Camo! I'm a grown-up doggo with a heart full of love. I'm a bit of a goofball, always ready to make you chuckle with my silly antics. I'm also quite the smarty-pants, quickly figuring out puzzles and tricks. I love to play, my energy is boundless! But don't worry, I'm also a brave soul, ready to protect you from any imaginary monsters under the bed. I can be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends. I might be a bit dominant, but that's just because I'm eager to lead our adventures. Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with laughter, loyalty, and lots of love!

Story
Looking for a pup that fills your daily sweet intake without the calories?! Candy is your girl  Candy is a 3 y/o, 60 lbs, lab mix. She is gentle with young hoomans. Most recently she did not socialize with any other animals, but has been known to get along with both cats and dogs. We are working on slow intros to reacclimate her. Candy is a smart girl. She is both house and crate trained. She also knows sit, shake, lay down, sit pretty, and roll over! Don’t let that fool you though, she enjoys a good nap, or two. Candy is great in the car as well! Candy is having surgery as a result of bladder stones not treated by her previous owners. However, we are working with our vet and she on a RX food now. More information to come! Candy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and fostered in Harrisburg, PA New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Story
We adopted Luna from the Antietam Humane Society in June of 2023. Her birthday is January 29, 2023. Luna is incredibly energetic and fun-loving. She loves to snuggle and play outside. As much as we love her, we believe she would be a better fit in a home where more opportunities for play and exercise can be provided. Although we do have a fenced in backyard, we feel she isn't happy without more room to move about and other animals to play with. She does very well with other dogs. She loves to play with our cats. She plays great with our 13 year old child but younger children may get scared by her size and energy level. She is not aggressive or mean in any way, just very energetic. She has been through 2 sessions of formal dog training and knows basic commands. She is crate trained for bedtime. Due to living in an animal shelter, she is scared of loud noises, stairs, cars, and can be fearful of going on walks or to unknown places.

Story
Tango came to us as a stray in June 2023 with two other dogs and is looking for a home to call his own! Tango is a ball of energy and would love to find a home where he can get all that energy out! This three year old boy loves to give kisses and hugs, and butt scratches are the way to his heart! We have not seen Tango around small dogs but he has done well with other large male and female dogs. He has done well with the shelter's office cats, but can be further tested upon request! We would recommend that Tango does not go to a home with children and would do best in a home with older teenage children or adults only. Tango still needs some work on his basic training and leash manners but is very treat-motivated and ready to learn! He is a big fan of stuffed and squeaky toys and loves to run around the shelter's yard for play time! If you are looking for a pup that would love to keep you company and give you plenty of kisses, Tango is your boy! Tango is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Availability date: 07/25/2023

Story
Meet Cash! This happy-go-lucky girl came to us after her owner suffered from unfortunate health complications and could no longer care for her. Cash is now ready to find a home where she can spend the rest of her days relaxing away! Cash is the definition of a snuggly pup and loves attention of all sorts! Even when she goes out to play in the yard she wants all attention on her. Cash is the biggest fan of squeaky and stuffed toys and will do all sorts of zoomies when she is playing. This pretty girl is all about her belly rubs and butt scratches and regardless of her size thinks she is a lap dog! Cash is very food-motivated and will do anything for a soft, chewy treat. She does need some work on her leash manners but with the help of volunteers, she has been made big improvement! Cash has not done well with dogs in the kennel but we are willing to have a meet-and-greet with any potential doggy friends. We have not seen Cash extensively with cats but can cat-test upon request. She has done fantastic with children and is always excited to meet people of all ages and sizes! If you are looking for an extra sweet girl to add to your home then stop by and meet Cash! Cash is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Available as of 02/08/2024
