Leo is chill, knows basic commands and is house & crate trained. He’s good with kids but not with other dogs. We got him after our first labradoodle and they don’t get along so it’s been hard. I’m now working full time after being stay at home for 8 years and unable to give them the attention he needs. He’s on Life Abundace food or Authority for food which is about $58 a month. His bday is 06-18-2023, he will be 3 years old.

Say hello to Dakota! This beautiful girl loves running in our play yards, lounging in the dog pools, and belly rubs. She was adopted out but has come back to BAHS by no fault of her or the adopters. We have now learned the type of home that will be the best fit for Dakota. She needs to be in a very calm environment with only 1-2 people and no cats. Dakota also needs plenty of time to learn to trust, so she will need everyone in her future family to visit her for a few months before going home. Once this gorgeous girl gets to know you, she has plenty of love to give. Dakota is a Lab mix and was born on 11/7/2015. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and takes preventive flea/tick/heartworm medicine. As with all of our dogs, Dakota must be an indoor dog. If you are interested in meeting Dakota, please email bahshelter@yahoo.com. If there are other dogs in your home, we require a meet and greet, which you can schedule via email at bahshelter@yahoo.com. Meet Shaggy! Shaggy is a cute little 9½-pound Chihuahua–Terrier mix who came to us from Laredo, Texas, where he had been living in a backyard with several other dogs and was covered in fleas and ticks. When he first arrived at Tracy’s Paws, Shaggy was understandably unsure of people. We don’t believe he had much handling in his previous life, and at first he would curl his lip and give us a bit of a stink-eye. But as the days passed and he realized he was safe, his true personality began to shine through. Underneath that cautious start is a very sweet, gentle little boy. Shaggy is about three to four years old. Because he needs a little time to warm up to new people, we are recommending a home without small children, where he can feel secure and build trust at his own pace. The good news is that Shaggy is heartworm-negative and Chagas-negative, and he is more than ready to trade rescue life for a quiet home of his own. What Shaggy would love most is a soft lap, a patient heart, and a kind home where he can continue to blossom.
