**A Tail of Two Boy Puppies** Devon and Matteo are two brothers looking for their forever homes. UPDATE: Matteo has been adopted. Devon (The dark chocolate coat) is available. He does need another dog in the home for mentoring and to have a buddy, as he has always been a part of a dog pack These boys were born at the rescue after their mom was rescued while pregnant. They have already faced a few challenges, including being bottle-fed after their mom ran out of milk early and overcoming Parvo at eight weeks old. Now, the boys are healthy. They eat well and love attention, fresh air, and sunshine. They turn four months old on June 8.  Because they have been handled since birth, both boys are very well socialized and extremely loving. They are shy when meeting new people. Once held, they love to stay close and be wherever their human is. Devon is shorter and has a chocolate-colored coat. He has a very outgoing and excellent personality Devon will do best in a home with at least one person who works from home or is retired. He needs another dog in the home for mentoring and friendship.  These are some of the sweetest puppies we have raised, thanks to all the early handling they received. Hershey (Momma’s brother) was given a DNA test. These pups are quite the mixed-breed mutts. Their dominant breeds seem to be the Poodle and the Dachshund. They also have a super mutt mix of Terrier,/Pug/Maltese/German shepherd/, Miniature Pinscher, and a host of other small percentages of breeds. The brother's dominant look is that of a Poodle-Dachshund mix. If you are interested in adopting Devon and giving him a forever home, please reach out to us for more information or to arrange a visit. Your new best friend could be waiting for you! The adoption fee is $395.00. Devon is being fed Human-Grade dog food. We will share feeding and training tips.  www.smallpupsrescue.org June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Meet Kenzie,  A Cairn Terrier-Poodle mix, and her bonded puppy, Sofie. Kenzie was rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter. Unbeknownst to us, she was pregnant, and a few weeks later, she surprised us with a 3 AM delivery of four puppies Kenzie is a gentle 3-year-old Cairn Terrier mix looking for a loving forever home. She has faced some challenges and now hopes to find someone who will walk with her, cuddle with her, and care for her every day. Sofie is Kenzie’s 4.5-month-old puppy and the smallest of her four surprise pups. She may be shy at first, but she quickly warms up and loves to cuddle when held. Sofie thrives in a gentle, quiet environment where she feels safe and secure. She enjoys being around people who are patient and offer her lots of love and attention. An ideal home for Sofie would be one with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for cuddles and playtime. Whether you're a single person, a couple, or a family, Sofie will fit right in as long as there's a loving corner for her to settle into. Kenzie likes eating human-grade food and relaxing in the sun. She enjoys her toys, playing with Sofie, and exploring together. Here's what a typical day with Kenzie and Sofie might look like: In the morning, Kenzie and Sofie start their day with a refreshing walk around the neighborhood, followed by a tasty breakfast of human-grade food. As the day unfolds, they enjoy some playtime together, engaging with their favorite toys and occasionally napping in a sunny spot. In the afternoon, you might find them happily exploring the backyard or snuggling next to you while you work from home. As evening approaches, Kenzie and Sofie love another walk, followed by more play or a quiet evening cuddled on the sofa. When you’re busy, they keep each other company, and when you’re ready to relax, they’ll happily cuddle on your lap. Kenzie enjoys daily grooming and loves being close to her person. This includes regular brushing to keep her coat tangle-free and occasional baths to maintain her cleanliness. She adapts well, whether you work from home or take her with you. Don’t miss the chance to welcome these sweet girls into your life! Kenzie and Sofie are ready to share their love! **Adopting Kenzie and  Sofie **  To   adopt this mom-daughter pair, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Missy has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee is $550.00 for both Kenzie and Sofie and includes Kenzie's spay, vaccines, rabies, and a microchip.   https://smallpupsrescue.org   June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm
