At 18 months old and 65 pounds, Bindi is right in that fun young-adult stage where she’s learned the basics but still has plenty of playful, goofy doodle enthusiasm to keep life interesting. This girl absolutely loves her people. Like… really loves them. Think “personal fan club president” level devotion. She bonds closely with her humans and wants to be right there with you for all of life’s activities — whether that’s heading out for a walk, running errands, or supervising snack preparation in the kitchen. Because Bindi loves her humans so much, she’d do best as the one-and-only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention without having to share her VIP people. Ollie is a 4 yr old, medium sized, lanky goldendoodle boy. He's very sweet, fun, and happy-go-lucky. He loves all people and has never met a stranger! He's housetrained, knows a few tricks and is just the perfect dog! He gets along well with other dogs and with children of all ages but hasn't been around cats. Born in November and already around 30-ish pounds, Tootles is well on his way to being a big, fun-loving, adventure-sized best friend. With a Lab mom and a mystery dad (we’re guessing maybe some pointer flair in there), he’s got the looks AND the personality to keep life interesting. Let’s be honest — Tootles is a full-time puppy. And his daily schedule looks something like this: • Wake up → immediately ready for fun • Play with toys → like it’s an Olympic sport • Wrestle with dog friends → usually involves a friendly game of dog pile on the rabbit (err... make that another puppy!) • Zoomies → sudden, dramatic, and often hilarious • Investigate everything → because clearly it all needs inspecting • Nap → recharge for round two • Perfecting the art of the “did I do that?” innocent face He’s great with people of all sizes (from small humans to tall ones), but like any enthusiastic pup, he sometimes forgets that not everyone is prepared for his full-body happy wiggles, so supervision with little kiddos is always a good idea. Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1-year-old male Lab/Husky  X (guessing) who joined us along with his siblings from Texas. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. Wiley is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, and older kids. Foster Update:   Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball who is both crate trained and house trained. He knows all his basic commands, has an energetic and playful style, and walks nicely on leash. He spent several weeks in the care of a professional trainer, is e-collar trained, and continues to build confidence every day. Wiley has been enjoying the great outdoors of the PNW and has even started going to work with his foster, where he’s meeting lots of new people. He takes some time to warm up but forms strong bonds once he trusts you. Wiley would do best as the only dog in an active home with someone who has breed experience and a securely fenced yard. He is not a good fit for toddlers, though older children with dog experience should be fine. He’s also a bit of a talker, so an apartment setting wouldn’t be ideal. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 5 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training.
