We are too busy to care for her, the kids have left and we travel . She is a good dog, but has that labradoodle behavior - kinda listens, like maybe she will sit when asked. She is house trained, does not damage furniture. I recently had some benign growths removed from her . She is in pretty good shape overall for an older dog . She is 10 .8 years old.

For nearly a year in shelter care, no adopters stepped forward to offer him a forever home, and he was ultimately placed on the euthanasia list. Unable to let him die, ADOGS stepped in urgently to rescue him. 3. Personality & Characteristics * Interaction with Humans: He is a super affectionate lovebug who truly adores humans! He happily approaches even strangers with a wagging tail, showing sweet charm and welcoming physical touch without hesitation. However, if you try to pick him up or grab around his neck, he may drop to the floor and lie on his back. Around familiar faces, he hops up and down in excitement to greet them and loves being showered with affection. He prefers human companionship over being alone and may bark out of sadness when you walk away. * Interaction with Dogs: He coexists well with other dogs overall. If another dog approaches him enthusiastically to play, he gets startled initially, though he quickly joins in the fun. He prefers initiating interactions with dogs he is curious about rather than having dogs approach him first. He may show territory-checking barks toward new dog friends, and if another dog barks at him, he gets startled and barks back in defensive frustration. * Interaction with Cats: He has not yet been introduced to cats. * Separation Anxiety: Because he loves people so much, he spends his alone time waiting longingly for humans to return. Structured independence training will be necessary from day one in a home environment. * Potty Training: He currently handles his business strictly outdoors at the shelter. A new routine and retraining may be needed upon moving into a home. * Grooming & Hygiene: He accepts brushing very well. * Leash Walking: He has no aversion to putting on a collar or leash. He tends to pull a bit at the beginning of walks, but after walking for a short while, he frequently looks back to check on his handler. * Motion Sickness: He showed no signs of car sickness even during long trips lasting around 2 hours. * Biting/Defensive Reactions: During a tense first encounter with another dog where they were sizing each other up, he once moved in to nip at the other dog's hindquarters. He may also growl back if another dog barks at him. * Barking: He displays demand barking. He barks when people walk past his kennel to ask to be let out, or whines when he wants attention. He can also react vocally during high-excitement moments, such as exiting his kennel after meals or when someone enters the play yard. He has also shown howling behavior when left alone. * Likes: He adores humans! He is very food-motivated and loves his meals and treats, and he enjoys playing with compatible dog friends. * Dislikes: He feels overwhelmed by dogs that approach too intensely. He can feel uncomfortable with being held or lifted, gets frightened by sudden loud noises, and strongly dislikes being left alone. * Personality: Nedal is an affectionate, friendly, and bubbly boy. He loves humans deeply and expresses his love enthusiastically. With high energy levels, he bounces around playfully and adapts very quickly to new environments.

Story
Georgia is a wonderful dog. She was born in late December 2022 and is currently 3 years and 8 months old. Her mother is a pure bred Labrador and her father is a pure bred standard poodle. I was able to see her the day of her birth. The reason we are looking to re-home her is due to family dynamics. I have 2 new Grand daughters that are under 2 years old....and probably more on the way. Georgia is a strong and athletic dog and very fast. She loves to play (especially Frisbee). In her excitement she has been known to knock over little ones trying to get to the door. As my wife is their primary daycare this means a lot of confinement for Georgia to try to keep the little ones in a safe environment. She plays great with kids, but the current age range we are in is not ideal for Georgia to be kept in her crate all the time. Georgia loves to play, but is not hyper. She is very devoted and loves car rides. We are looking for a home that will be fun for her, care for and enjoy her fully.

I didn't always have it easy—I was found sitting scared on the side of the road outside a neighborhood—but I'm ready to leave that part behind and find my forever home. Let me tell you the most important thing about me: I LOVE BALLS. Kong, Chuckit, squeaky, bouncy—I'm not picky. If it bounces, I'm in. I'll watch it like a hawk, leap to catch it mid-air, and happily play fetch for as long as you'll throw it. I might even try to trick you into a little game of keep-away... but don't worry—if you pretend you're done, I'll bring it right back and nudge it into your hand. Deal? I'm playful, energetic, curious, and I like to keep an eye on my people (you'll feel very important, I promise). I'm also pretty smart—I've already learned to sit while I wait for my ball, and with a little patience (and maybe some snacks 👀), I know I can learn even more. My dream home? Probably a couple with no young kids, a yard to run around in, and humans who like being outside as much as I do. I'm still figuring out other dogs, and I haven't met any cats yet, so I may need a little guidance there. Kids make me a bit nervous, so a calmer home would help me feel safe. David is a happy, playful, people-loving pup who thinks everyone he meets is a potential best friend. He's wonderful with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with. His favorite game? FETCH! 🎾 He'll happily chase a toy, bring it back, and do it all over again. And if there's water involved? Even better! David absolutely loves the water, so a family who enjoys outdoor adventures, swimming, or just watching a goofy dog have the time of his life would be right up his alley. Animal Information: Nicky is an estimated 4-year-old 55 lb now neutered male black lab mix who was a stray intake to County of Hawaii Animal Control after being hit by a car. This big goofy boy was lucky to suffer only some road rash - no fractures - and passed his temperament test with dogs and people with flying colors. When he was euth-listed for space, he was pulled by an island rescue to a private boarding kennel from COH-AC and networked for rescue transfer. Kennel staff notes that he walks well on a leash (especially after play time), shows no resource guarding tendencies, and is not destructive with toys. He has good social skills with other dogs, taking cues well, and is friendly with all people including the children he has met at many adoption events.  Foster Updates: Nicky is a real love! He does well in his crate when left alone, but prefers to sleep on the couch. He loves to play with the resident dog and loves to play with toys too, though he isn't destructive with them. Especially loves tug with his large rope toy. He is mostly a quiet boy -- only barks when he thinks the house needs guarding, like when the scary scary mailman approaches. He LOVES to snuggle. He will lay on top of his foster mom for hours. He needs a bit of work with his leash manners but he’s got some of the basic commands down.  Other notes: He's great with the small senior dog in his foster home, he is curious about the kitten but will only lay down nearby and watch him, and wants to bark at the chickens. He is able to be very independent - will simply lay down in the grass and is perfectly content watching his foster mom garden. But when given the opportunity, he wants to be with his people and getting lovings and cuddles. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
