Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LOLA   Lola and her sister Tasha are two adorable puppies with a lab-like personality. They will grow to be around 25-35 pounds, making them a perfect fit for smaller homes and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy walking the trails with their furry companions. Currently the puppies are 5 and 6 pounds respectively and they are only 7-weeks-old. Their mommas milk dried up so Rompin Paws Rescue is weaning them onto human grade puppy food and goat milk. Lola is white, a bit smaller than her sister and oh so sweet in demeanor. She will make a sweet lifetime companion for a person who has the time to train and be with a puppy, a yard and a willingness to take Lola on adventures. Lola and Tasha are smaty puppies who are nearly housebroken already. they are very social and have been raised with children. If you're interested in adopting one of these sweet pups, they will be ready in approximately 3 weeks on May 19th. We are accepting applications now so that we have enough time to match them with their best human companions. With this adoption application link, you are one step closer to providing a loving home to a furry friend in need. https://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/   Lola has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate their adopters on proper diet and nutrition for them. To apply to adopt Lola she has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.          https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2024, 2:23 pm

Story
I got Charlie a few months before getting a divorce. I travel quite a bit for work. I have been trying to make it work with my schedule, but it has been difficult. I think it is only fair to try and rehome Charlie. Charlie is a high energy dog. He loves playing fetch, going on hikes and just being outside. He is an extremely happy dog and is great with people and other dogs. He is about 1.5 years old and is still very young at heart. He is about 60-65 lbs. I have been training him over the last several months with Evergreen School for Dogs. He knows a few commands and is getting better every day. I will continue to train him. He is also kennel trained. The best kind of person for Charlie would be someone who is looking for an adventure companion. Charlie could be a great hunting dog.

Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Hummus. He and his sister were part of a huge litter and Save-A-Mutt was happy to find room in the foster program for two of them. Mommy is a white shepherd, daddy a yellow lab. Hummus is about 6 months old now, and on the smaller side, about 35#. We think when he's fully grown, he will be in the 60# range. Hummus had a small accident in CA before he came to us, which resulted in two broken toes. He's been in a medical foster home, healing. At about 6 weeks post break, he doesn't care about the toes at all. The video is current and he's happy and energetic. In foster, Hummus is learning all kinds of things... sleeping in a crate, and doing great with housebreaking. He LOVES people... and right there to be cuddled and give kisses. He's good with other dogs, just kind of a spaz. He really just needs an active home, with a large fenced yard. No chainlink please, we think that's how he broke his toes... dork! Older kids would be fine, he's just so bouncy, smaller kids will get knocked over. We will be doing repeat x-rays before he gets adopted, but Hummus is not limping and does not seem to be bothered at all. Hummus is very barky about the foster's cat, so we are asking for a feline free home. Many rescue dogs need patience when transitioning to a new home. We ask adopters to follow the 3/3/3 rules - allowing for patience and time for new pups to acclimated to their new home. We have made recommendations on their best home placement based on our foster home information. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He has been treated for both internal and external parasites. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. Adoption fee is $375. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

Story
We got Clyde as a puppy to fill the hole in our hearts that our last black lab left behind. Rehoming an animal is never an easy decision but he needs and deserves a family who can give him the love and attention he deserves. A large fenced yard would be the best for him, he can leap over our 4 foot fence with ease. Clyde is house and crate trained. He loves to be inside with his humans, especially trying to be a lap dog. He does extremely well on a leash and is used to a harness too. He is afraid of stairs so we need to keep that in mind, so no 2nd or 3rd floor apartment/condo living for this boy.
