Courtesy Post Meet Beau, a handsome 2-year-old Shepherd Lab mix with a tall, athletic build, weighing around 65-70 pounds. Beau is kennel trained and enjoys affection, though he’s not the overly cuddly type. He’s happiest when he’s exploring the yard, playing, and enjoying his surroundings. Beau is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates an independent yet friendly dog with a playful spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy to share your adventures and quiet moments, Beau could be the one for you! ***Courtesy Post*** Located in Yakima, WA but can be transported to Western WA! Beau is a striking 2 year old Shepherd Lab mix with a tall, athletic frame and movie star posture, weighing about 65 to 70 pounds. He is the kind of dog who turns heads without even trying. Beau is kennel trained and enjoys affection, though he is not a velcro dog. He appreciates love on his terms and carries himself with a confident, independent streak. He is happiest stretching his long legs in the yard, exploring his surroundings, and engaging in playful bursts of energy. Think adventure buddy with a thoughtful side. He would thrive with someone who values a friendly but self assured companion. Beau is not demanding. He is steady, loyal, and ready to share both outdoor fun and peaceful downtime with his person. If you are looking for a dog who will walk beside you rather than cling to you, Beau may be your perfect match. Courtesy Post This dog is not in our rescue’s care. Beau is currently located in Yakima, WA and can be transported to Western WA. If you are interested, please let us know and we will connect you directly with his foster.

Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Cash! This sweet goofy boy was surrendered to us when his family moved. We didn't have a foster home for him so he's staying with our friends at Lake Stevens K9 Academy. This gave us time to discover the nature of this chunk. He needed to be neutered and since there had been a bit of transition in his world, we thought testing him with other dogs would be great. At first he was a little afraid of the other dogs, but has since been placed other nice retrievers. We think he's friendly and would be good in a home either with friendly dogs, or as an only boy. He was raised with kids, but his 70# loves to just roll into your lap, so maybe older kids that are not knocked over would be fine. He was very excited when he met a cat, so a feline free home would be best. Cash loves a ball! He loves cuddles. We were told he's housebroken, and may need reminders in a new home! His previous owner said he took Cash hunting, but didn't give us much more info in that area. Cash is about 5 years old. He's got kind of stumpy tail from a birth injury. It's a fun wagging nubbin'. He's good in a car and would love to go on adventures. This dog is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience). Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. Adoption fee is $325. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sundays to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We dont ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your dog.

Introducing the newest sweet and savory sensation from McDonald's-meet McMuffin! This delightful treat is here to warm your heart and fill your home with fun and love! McMuffin is a lovely female Labrador Retriever mix, and she's got the energy of a firework ready to burst! Her absolute favorite snack? English muffins, the kind you use to whip up those delicious breakfast egg sandwiches. But, watch out! Her tummy can get a tad grumbly if she indulges too much. As she's matured, McMuffin likes to take life at a leisurely pace, being kind to her joints and bones. But when it comes to showing you affection, she's all in-wet kisses and wiggly butt wags galore! Now, McMuffin can be a bit nervous when she first meets her family, so she's looking for her forever home right in the heart of Texas. She's discovered true happiness in her foster home and would thrive best with another calm, confident dog as a companion. Or, if you're up for it, she'd be over the moon to be reunited with her sister, McFlurry! So, if you're craving a special addition to your life, don't miss out on the delightful McMuffin. Swing by and let her add a sprinkle of joy to your days! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

I’ll Be There in a Flash! ⚡🐾 That’s how I got my name—and trust me, I live up to it! I’m a medium-sized male Black Labrador Retriever mix with a fun-loving personality and energy to spare. I’m always ready to jump into action, whether it’s playtime in the yard, a long walk, or an adventure with my favorite people. In my previous home, I had dog friends that I got along with really well, so I’d love to have a playful canine buddy again! I enjoy being part of the action and having friends to run and romp with. I have lots of energy and will need an active lifestyle to grow into a healthy, happy, well-balanced dog. Daily exercise, playtime, and fun activities will help me be my very best self. Got kids? Great! Let’s keep each other busy and make some awesome memories together. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion who’s always ready to go, I’ll be there… in a Flash! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Ruby is a bright, sparkling gem ready to be adopted! She is a unique black labrador/border collie mix, with high energy and a goofball personality, with a white stripe down her snout! She has a heart of gold with whipped cream on top :) Ruby was found with her friend Lucy, they were both left out in the country, luckily by a rescuer's home. She fed and worked with them for a couple of weeks before they were able to get into the rescue and the rest is a BIG FUTURE!! Ruby LOVES to play tug of war with her friends all the time and I really would be best with another calm and confident dog to help keep her busy and tired. She is best in an outgoing, outdoor loving family, maybe YOURS??? Ruby is waiting........ :D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Mae! We are looking to find a wonderful new home for our 10-month-old female Golden Retriever and Shepherd mix, Mae. She is an incredibly sweet dog who absolutely loves people, but she has a lot of puppy energy. We currently have two small dogs and young children, and Mae simply needs more space and outdoor time than we are able to provide her. She will thrive in an active environment that can keep up with her! The Details: Age/Breed: 10 months old | Female Golden Retriever & Shepherd Mix Health: Spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on all shots/vaccinations. Training: Housebroken, completely crate trained, and knows her basic commands. Her Ideal Home: Because of her energy levels and size, Mae would do best in a home with active, outdoorsy adults and older children. She does great with other large dogs and would make an amazing running, hiking, or adventure buddy! Rehoming Fee: $50 (To ensure she goes to a serious, committed home).
