If you've been dreaming of a curly-haired cutie with puppy-dog eyes and a whole lot of love to give, Connor would like a word! This handsome boy is a 4-month-old, 20-pound F1 Labradoodle mix with a big heart, oversized puppy paws, and a serious appreciation for human attention. Connor and his five siblings found themselves in a not-so-great shelter in South Texas. Thankfully, we stepped in to give all six puppies a second chance, and now Connor is ready to find the family he was always meant to have! This boy is happy, social, and absolutely crazy about people. After getting less attention than a puppy deserves during his short life, he's making up for lost time! If you're sitting down, expect company. If you're giving out belly rubs, expect a line of one. And if you're looking for a loyal little shadow, Connor is happy to apply for the position! He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so a canine sibling would be a welcome bonus. Of course, he'd be perfectly happy soaking up all the love in a home of his own, too. Now, let's talk about the Doodle in the room: Connor is still a puppy! He's a smart little guy, but he's starting with a pretty blank training slate. His new family will need to teach him the basics, work on manners, and help him grow into the wonderful adult dog we know he can be. Ryder and his five brothers and sisters were rescued from a not-so-good shelter in South Texas. Thankfully, all six of them are now safe, healthy, and ready to find their forever families. This super social, happy, and loving boy absolutely lives for people time. After not getting nearly enough cuddles and attention in his short life, he's making up for it big time! He'll happily follow you around the house, crawl into your lap (even when he gets bigger), and give you endless kisses. Ryder does wonderfully with other dogs too, and he would love having a furry sibling to play and grow up with. Ryder is still very much a blank slate when it comes to training. He hasn't had much structure yet, so he'll need a patient family willing to teach him the basics: potty training, crate training, leash walking, and manners. The good news? He's a smart cookie! With consistency, positive reinforcement, treats, and lots of love, he's going to learn fast and become a wonderful, well-mannered companion. For nearly a year inside the shelter, no family reached out to adopt him, and he was ultimately placed on the euthanasia list. Unable to let this sweet soul perish, Adogs stepped in urgently to rescue him and bring him to safety. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Eagerly approaches strangers with a happily wagging tail and enjoys deep, affectionate touch. Prefers human company over being alone and may bark out of longing when someone walks away. * With Dogs: Gets along reasonably well with dog friends. If a friend approaches too enthusiastically, he may flinch or startle at first, but quickly joins in on the fun and zoomies. Prefers making contact with dogs he gets curious about on his own, rather than dogs who approach him too pushily. Occasionally nips/presses his teeth against dogs returning from walks as a warning gesture—continued observation is underway to better understand this behavior. * With Cats: Becomes excited and tries to chase cats when he sees them, so caution is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Currently living in a group setting at our center, so individual separation anxiety cannot be fully assessed. Gentle adaptation training will be required from the start when transitioning to a home. * Potty Training: Currently does his potty business outdoors at our center. Training may be needed when transitioning to a new environment. * Hygiene: Handles brushing well, but caution is recommended not to groom for too long, as he may show warning nips when overstimulated. * Walkis: Shows zero aversion to wearing a leash or harness. Displays slight leash pulling during the initial phase of walks, but quickly settles down and frequently turns back to make eye contact with his handler. * Car Sickness: Traveled long distances (up to 2 hours) with ZERO motion sickness. * Has shown defensive/reflexive biting when subjected to actions he dislikes—such as being grabbed suddenly, held firmly by the leash when resistant to entering his kennel after outdoor playtime, or during tense initial dog-to-dog introductions. * Has demand barking tendencies. Tends to bark or express high arousal during exciting moments (e.g., coming out of a kennel after meals, when someone enters the play yard). Shows howling when no humans are around. * Is high-energy, affectionate, and cheerful. Loves jumping up playfully to show affection and adapts quickly to new environments. Sudden loud noises intimidate him, and overly pushy dogs can feel overwhelming, but his heart is full of love for his humans.

Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place.
