Story
Pickles was turned in as a strays with 4 of her 4-5 month old puppies. The puppies are available in their own advertisement. The puppies look very much like labs and have a taller more slender build. Pickles is very sweet and probably spent a lot of time outdoors. She is very comfortable being outside and while she will walk on a leash, she is definitely not use to it and needs encouragement. She also acts like she has not gotten a lot of good attention and when somebody talks to her and pets her, she gets really excited and happy. She is pretty laid back and relaxed most of the time and hardly ever barks if ever. She and the pups act like they were not feed on a regular basis and try to gulp their food down so being here at the rescue where they are getting fed twice a day is definitely a good thing for them. The pups were definitely on the thin side and Pickles needed a few pounds as well. She is really sweet and will make some lucky family an awesome new member to the household. Pickles is current on her vaccinations, has been spayed and microchipped so she is ready to go to her new home today. Story
"Hey there, everyone! My name is Goose, and I'm a male Labrador mix. I've had quite the journey so far. Me, my mom Pickles, and my siblings were all turned into the pound as strays. My brother has already found his forever home, but me, my sisters, and my mom are still searching for ours. I'm a sweet and kind pup, and I get along really well with all the other dogs here at the rescue. We're not quite sure who my dad is, but I definitely have some Labrador in me. My sister and I have that classic Labrador coloring, while our mom is black and white. We're not built like her either, so it's safe to say we take after our dad. I’m pretty laid back and relaxed most of the time and hardly ever bark if ever. I don’t cause any trouble or make any messes. I just want to be with you and make you happy. I’m also very smart and eager to please. I haven't started any training yet, so I don't really know how to walk on a leash, but I'm eager to learn. I can learn lots of new tricks and commands if you teach me with treats and praise. I’ve had a hard life before coming to the rescue. I didn’t get enough food or care for me and my family. We were always hungry and uncomfortable. But now we are getting fed twice a day and have a nice place to sleep. I'm about 5 to 6 months old, and I've already been neutered. I'm up to date on all my vaccinations, and I even have a microchip so I'll never get lost again. All I need now is a new forever family to take me in, teach me, and give me all the love and attention I deserve. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, look no further! I'm ready to be your new best friend. I promise to be loyal, faithful, and loving in return.  Don't miss out on the chance to bring joy and love into your life by adopting a furry friend like me. See you soon!" PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Bentley is a handsome black lab mix puppy who was abandoned with two other dogs when his owners were evicted from their home. He's house Trained and has the softest ears. He's very smart, can sit and shake hands, as well as participate in group hugs with his foster family. He loves walks, chasing birds, fetch, tug-o-war and puppy ice cream as well as belly rubs. He would do well in a home with a larger yard and other dog(s) to play with. For more information on Bentley please complete the form below. https://forms.gle/jQYS1HLdyW6iyn3P7

Story
Wilbur was hit by a car over a year ago in Costa Rica.  When he was initially brought to a sanctuary there they thought he wasn’t going to make it due to being quadriplegic.  The vet would visit the sanctuary weekly to perform laser therapy on him.  He has since been able to gain use of his front legs but not his hind, although he does have feeling in his hind legs.  After being flown to the US the X-ray showed he had an injury the right side of his disc.  We’re currently doing laser and acupuncture here to hopefully improve function in his hind legs.  Depending if acupuncture, laser and water therapy doesn’t improve, surgery may be the next best option. He’s a HUGE lovable teddy bear!  Super soft and extremely gently.  He loves resting his head on one’s lap to get some snuggles in.  Along with laying outside in the sun on a dog bed enjoying. He’s working on getting better using the wheelchair.  He tends to move backwards and not forward unless there’s food in front of him, then he’s motivated to use the cart.  Wilbur currently is being fostered with kids and 12 other dogs.  He’s a EXTREMELY sweet guy who deserves a chance at a forever home. He is 1 of 8 dogs saved from Costa Rica and we hope we can give him a second chance at a great life.  Please fill out an application on our website so a meet/greet and home check can be arranged. His adoption fee is $250.September 24, 2023, 12:52 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Montana, a Lab/Staffie mix with a heart full of love! My story began in March when I was captured by the dog catcher while pregnant. Thankfully, Valley Dogs Rescue came to my rescue. They provided me with a safe haven to deliver my 10 adorable puppies. Most have found their forever homes, and now it's my turn. At 3 years old, I'm up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, ready to find my forever family. The ideal home for me would include a spacious yard for playtime and a family committed to giving me daily exercise. I'm a fan of walks, though I can get a bit overexcited on the leash. But don't worry, I'm working on improving that! I've learned commands like sit and stay, especially when guided by hand signals along with verbal cues. I'm still perfecting my recall, but I'm a diligent learner. I share my current space with a cat, although we mostly coexist without much interaction. With a proper introduction, I could learn to love another feline friend. I'm also friendly with other dogs, given a proper introduction. Are you ready to make room in your heart and home for me? I'm determined to be the best friend you've been looking for! To learn more and meet me, please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.COM to request an application. I'm excited to meet you!

Story
I can be a little shy at first with new people, but once I get to know you, I am a wiggly cuddler!I really like other dogs and having another dog in the home may help me break out of my shell. Though as always, I`ll need to meet with all other dogs in the household before adoption. Since I am a bit of a scared girl, I would do best in a home without young children.
