The handsome and happy Sammy would like to introduce himself to you! “Hi there! My name is Sammy, and I'm an adorable young dog with lots of love to give! If you're looking for a funny, playful, and loyal companion, you've come to the right place! I love making new friends, both human and canine, and I'm always up for a good game of fetch. My affectionate nature will have you cuddling me in no time! My smarts and bravery will ensure that we have some fun adventures together. If you're a dog-lover, I'm sure we'll get along swimmingly (I love making new doggie friends, too)! I am good with all dogs, big and small. My foster dad says I am one of the sweetest, affectionate, and most well-behaved doggy's he has ever taken care of!!! He says that I have a terrific smile and Big adorable ears :-) I am house trained, kennel trained, and doggie door trained. Click on the arrow button below my photo to see my video clip! '”

Story
Sparky is a 3 year Lab/Border Collie dog mix. He has a cute personality. The fact that he has one ear down and one ear up at all times is a good indication of his playfulness .He knows basic commands like sit, shake and is fully potty-trained, with no accidents. He can be a cuddlebug/lover boy, and really enjoys rubbing up on his favorite people and he always appreciates being able to lay on your legs when you sleep. When he meets new people, he can get excited, and expect him to be jumping up and seeking affection. He has never met a person he doesn't like! When it comes to playing,He loves to chase balls, but he is not so fond of giving it back to you. :) He loves to chew on balls and at times will play with a Kong toy when he gets excited but most of the time he prefers to just run around. He is an active playmate. (We have lots of videos we can share ) We do not crate him when we leave, and can be gone for hours with everything fine so he can be trusted not to potty or destroy things. That being said, we are careful not to leave items out because he can be a chewer. He has been prone to ear infections so needs to he on a specific food. He is quite an independent guy, and a lovebug, and so friendly. He gets nervous at the vet so I hold him for these routine appointments that simply help him live a better life. A good fit for him would be a home where he can be the center of attention (he loves to nap outside when the weather is nice. He would also do well with a teenager who could give him daily walks or run around with him and play. He also shares a bed with a cat, and does not seem to have any prey drive with her although he can be curious when she roams the house. We are not sure of interactions with smaller children. Story
Gentle sweetheart, very smart, loves people and dogs! Ziggy is obedient and eager to please. He appears to be fully grown and has blossomed beautifully in his foster home. He is great on leash and LOVES to play with other friendly, active dogs. Ziggy's build is more compact than a typical Labrador Retriever, and lighter on his feet. His fur is silky smooth and easy to brush. He is a quick learner, VERY gentle, and full of fun. Ziggy has the sweetest disposition! Although he enjoys standing up on his hind legs, he is usually very good about keeping four paws on the floor. Ziggy is pure joy, a kind-hearted dog who is happy and very grateful to be in a foster home with two active foster sisters. Ziggy wants to please! He thrives on attention and is food-motivated. He sometimes "talks" when he's excited, and alerts to a knock at the door, but he is not an incessant barker. Ziggy absolutely absolutely loves his foster sisters, who are great playmates. He rests peacefully when it is naptime and enjoys chew toys. Ziggy needs 1) an attached, private yard and 2) at least one friendly, playful dog who weighs 40+ lbs. He would love to have active kids (middle school or older). He is not reactive to dogs or humans, regardless of their size. He has lovely manners! Ziggy will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. Discussion about a dog, including scheduling a home check, can't occur until we have received your complete adoption application. Story
Senior Black lab/likely shepherd mix. Foster or adopter needed asap Needs a home this weekend, unfortunately after a 2 week battle in the ICU Gunners male senior owner passed away. We are trying to help this boy find a new home. He is good with both men and women after he gets to know you. He barks at strangers in the house until he is comfortable, a great guard dog to keep people off your lawn. He needs a home asap. He is fully housebroken and crate-trained. He likes butt scratches and is a very calm boy and just lays around the house now. Would do best as an only dog or in a crate and rotated until he gets to know his humans (he does best with smaller dogs). Knows basic commands, sit, lay down, kennel, bed (Place) he is not reactive to other dogs at all when he is crated. Yes, his fee is $25 to make sure he goes to a good home. He really is a sweet dog. He is in Mesa temporarily before he has to go to Maricopa County acc, where he won't make it out alive.
