Story
Carbone is a handsome black lab mix with a heart as big as his smile. Active, affectionate, and food motivated, he’s eager to please and quick to make friends. With a moderate energy level, Carbone enjoys playtime and walks, though he’s still working on his leash manners and will benefit from patient guidance. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves to romp, but because of his rough-and-rowdy playstyle, he’ll do best in a home with children 7 years or older. Carbone’s journey hasn’t been easy - he was originally found as a stray and after months of trying to find placement himself, his finder brought him to Lost Our Home. Despite his past, Carbone’s spirit shines through. He can be a little timid in new situations, but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up and show his cheerful, affectionate side. He does have a history of breaking out of crates when left alone, simply because he hasn’t had the chance to learn that crates can be safe spaces. With slow, positive reinforcement, Carbone can build confidence and learn to settle comfortably. Carbone is a sweet boy looking for a family who will give him patience, love, and the chance to thrive. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will reward your care with endless affection, Carbone is waiting to meet you. Adoption Requirements: Older kids 7+ My adoption fee is $350 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Story
Adopted Kezzy at a very young age. Trained in a formal boarding school and is well mannered but has a high energy drive. Requires physical stimulus and attention which having three little kids is a challenge and we are not at capacity to take care of her anymore. Super loving but requires attention and has a high energy and food drive.

Story
We’ve had Silva now for 2 weeks and he’s still a very much a puppy. We have a German shepherd mix and they love to play. Unfortunately we’re on the third floor and have received complaints from the neighbors. Typically they play for around 45 minutes and sleep for a few hours. Silva would likely be fine as a single dog in an apartment but two large dogs in one apartment is a bit much. We’ve been working on leash training along with crate training but it’s still a work in progress. Though the paperwork says Silva is a lab mix- his DNA test shows mostly husky and some pit mixed. Can provide a copy as well. We can also include his crate and newly bought bed. My goal isn’t to get rid of Silva as quickly as possible but find Silva a proper home. He’s a good dog and with the right training could be the best companion. Not overly reactive and a loaf when alone. Can provide more info but would recommend Silva as a single dog home unless you train them.

Story
Stray found by my work. Has been living with a two dog household for almost a month. Gets along with both dogs and Bob the house cat. Has lots of energy and loves to play and snuggle. He’s a water dog and may be a pure bred chocolate lab I don’t know. Definitely a puppy don’t know how old maybe 6-8 months. Fast learner and listens well. Comes to his name and is fantastic with a three yr old little girl. Loves to take walks and is a great walker, pees on everything. He is need of wide open spaces or a river running through his back yard 🙂. He has been kenneled since we got him and he is on board w the schedule. He eats a ton and loves rawhide bones! He is a very good looking short haired boy. His head seems tiny compared to his paws, they’re huge. Nonetheless he is an adorable specimen that’s just sweet. Sweet is his adjective, he is just this.

Story
Asher is a 6 year old lab we took in from another person rehoming him as a puppy. He may be chocolate and black lab, but unsure of his mix. He can be anxious when first meeting new people and pets but does warm up and does fine with them. He likes to play with other dogs too! Asher likes to run in the yard and also wants back inside! He will sit by (or on) your feet when you get comfortable. Asher likes his space on his pet pad and will sometimes growl at other dogs if they are bothering him when he is trying to sleep/relax. He has never been aggressive with animals or humans, although he does not like going to the vet! Asher is a sweet dog but will be too big for my new arrangements with my 95 year old mother. (He is due for shots and I can get them done before he is rehomed.)

Story
Lisa is a 6-year-old, calm and gentle dog who is looking for a loving new home through no fault of her own. She was given to my 84-year-old father to keep him company and quickly became a loyal, comforting presence in his life. Lisa is incredibly sweet and devoted. She does not bark or jump and has a very peaceful, easygoing temperament. She may be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but once she feels safe and gets to know you, she settles in and shows her loving, loyal side. Sadly, on December 13th my father lost his home in a house fire. While both he and Lisa made it out safely, he now needs to move into an assisted living facility that does not allow dogs. This has made the difficult decision to find Lisa a new home necessary. Lisa would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to feel secure and loved. She has already proven what a wonderful companion she can be and would make a truly special addition to the right family.
