Story
Meet Bisbee, a 2-year-old Labrador mix with a goofy grin, a wagging tail, and a heart full of love. Life hasn’t been easy for this sweet boy—found on the streets as a puppy, he endured hardship early on. Bisbee was previously adopted but unfortunately, his family couldn’t provide the stability he needed, and with changing dynamics in their family, Bisbee was returned to us. Which absolutely broke our hearts for this sweet boy. But Bisbee’s story is one of resilience and second chances. He recently graduated from a professional Board and Train program with Triumph Dog Training, and he’s absolutely thriving! His confidence has blossomed, his anxiety has eased, and he’s showing off just how smart, adaptable, and eager to please he truly is. Now living in a training-focused foster home, Bisbee is continuing to build on everything he’s learned—impressing everyone along the way with his progress and his sweet, silly nature. Bisbee is ready for the next chapter: a forever family who will love him unconditionally and continue helping him be his very best self. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of potential—and he’s just waiting to share all that love with the right people. If you think you could be that family, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once your application is received, we’ll gladly answer any questions and set up a meet and greet to introduce you to the incredible Bisbee.

Story
Angelique found herself on the county’s euthanasia list when she arrived at the shelter with a large, open wound on one of her rear legs. Being in a loud, scary environment and in so much pain, she was fearful and shut down. We knew her story couldn’t end there. All she needed was proper medical attention and time to decompress. We pulled her from the shelter and took her straight to the hospital for wound care. While her leg took weeks of dressings and bandage changes, it was only a few days after leaving the shelter that our sweet girl came out of her shell and showed us just how much love she has to give. While a little shy at first, Angelique warms up quickly to new people, especially if she has a doggy friend or two to help her feel more confident, or, of course, if you tempt her with a treat! Angelique loves to watch TV by your side or play outside with toys and other dogs. Her fosters call her “perfect,” which is easy to believe because she is crate-trained, house-trained, walks well on her leash and knows basic obedience commands already! Officially ready to find her forever home, we only ask that her new family give her grace and time to decompress so she can learn her new routine in her new home. She would love a playful doggy sibling and prefers older children! We promise this angelic girl will reward you with a lifetime of the sweetest kisses and keep a smile on your face with all her silly antics! Angelique’s adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, vaccines, spay and microchip. ACTIVE. CUDDLER. LOVING! Birdie is a regal lady looking for her forever home to give her the love she so deserves. She just loves new people (even children!) and dogs (larger dogs she can play with are even better). There may be a touch of shyness in a new place but as long as she’s accompanied by her favorite people, she does well. She very much would love to be part of the family, wherever that takes her. Birdie enjoys hiking, walks in the neighbor, being outdoors and taking car rides. She will happily cuddle up next to you while you binge your favorite TV show! Birdie has mastered crate- and house-training, along with having impeccable door manners. She is very trainable and is doing well learning basic command and walking on a leash. Birdie’s adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, vaccines, spay and microchip. Story
Lorelai came into the county shelter as a stray with significant lameness and stiffness. Unfortunately, she was put on the euthanasia list due to the severity of her condition. We stepped in to save her because we didn't want her story to end there. This beautiful girl deserved a chance! It was no wonder that Lorelai was in pain and didn’t feel like herself: she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, tick fever and Valley Fever. Since getting the much-needed treatments, we have seen her beautiful spirit and sweet personality shine more and more. Lorelai is slower to warm up to new people, but if you're patient, you will surely be rewarded. Once she opens up to you, she will truly love you forever. Lorelai adores her daily walks in the neighborhood but in general is a quiet old soul who loves to lounge and snuggle with her people. She has amazing leash manners, does well left alone in the house, enjoys car rides and is working on basic commands. Lorelai’s adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, vaccines, spay and microchip. Apply now to meet the sweetest, most laid-back cuddle-companion you could ask for! Story
Tessa was brought into the county shelter as a frightened stray who had trouble walking on her hind limbs and was suffering from an upper respiratory infection. After x-rays were taken, it was determined that she has a severe spinal deformity. With her sweet face, we knew we needed to save her from euthanasia and get her into our care for further diagnostics. Thankfully, with the love and care of her foster family paired with excellent veterinary care, Tessa has fully recovered from her upper respiratory treatment. Tessa is crate- and house-trained, has lovely leash manners and sleeps through the night. She also does so well when left unattended at home. She is learning basic obedience, though considering how incredibly food-motivated she is, she's more than happy to do just about anything for a treat! Tessa absolutely LOVES to wrestle and run around with her foster fur-siblings. She loves all things fluffy (like herself), whether that’s napping in a cozy dog bed or squeaking her favorite stuffy. She is a playful, loving, silly girl just waiting for a family to call her own! Her dream home would include a doggy friend and have no stairs but plenty of yard to play in. Tessa’s adoption fee includes completed veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchip and spay. Apply now to let this golden girl light up your life with her brilliant smile, goofy personality and joy de vivre!
