Story
This cutie is Cayanne. She is currently just over a year old and we think she may be a Labrador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a mystery! Cayanne lives in a foster home with a shy, 10 year old boy and is so sweet and gentle with him. She loves to give her foster family licks, kisses and gentle nudges to show her affection. Cayanne is completely trained in her kennel and sleeps all night with no problems! She is also 100% house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house! Her foster mom reports she is an amazing house guest! She loves to sniff her surroundings and is so easy on the leash. She enjoys daily runs and walks with her foster mom! She is bit of a digger but nothing that can’t be resolved with attention and redirection. She is a very playful girl and loves giving kisses and but shy when meeting new people. She needs to be gently introduced by letting her smell them. She is more fond of women than men but adjusts after awhile. She is still learning to fetch but loves her chew toys! Please consider giving Cayanne a loving, nurturing home. Cayanne would enjoy a nice fenced in back yard or living on some acreage where she can roam, play and run free to her hearts content! She will need a home with another doggy friend as she thrives on doggy companionship. Cayanne is young so she will need a family that can commit to training and socialization and all the stuff puppyhood comes with. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Adoption Link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6488b469943845efb20f2e9f Questions? Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! Story
Dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, and will do nearly a back flip to catch a tennis ball. This is a really cool dog. Sporty is by far one of the coolest dogs I’ve met because of her blend of athleticism, best friend/devoted, affectionate personality. She is always so happy and you can tell by her cute little wiggle butt . She’s a happy girl and enjoys the simple things in life. She loves swimming, yard time, couch time, errands in the car, or just hanging out with a toy while you work at home. She’s versatile. She met my 3 year old and 5 year old kids and loved them. My five-year-old thought she was the coolest dog ever because of her ability to catch a ball, no matter how bad your throw is. She makes you think you’ve thrown a strike every single time because she will catch it no matter what! She is very talented with a tennis ball. In fact, she loves it so much that she will sit or lay down or learn other tricks just for the ball, you don’t even have to use treats. Apart from her athleticism, she really does also have good manners in the home. We hung out in the kitchen and on the couch and she was just glad to be near us. She so desperately wants to please you. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/quTjjjz66HA Sporty Spice is a gorgeous brindle shepherd mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs and is full grown! She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Sporty is dog friendly and did great with all of the dogs we introduced her to. She would go up to meet them and then go on about her day. Sporty wasn’t overly playful with the other dogs and this can change once in a home. She prefers calmer dogs that aren’t very rowdy or vocal with their play. For the most part, Sporty simply enjoyed being outside enjoying the fresh air and watching everyone around her or you would find her soaking in the pool. She also did great during our cat test and was very avoidant of them. She was so unphased by our kitty residents that she even shared the couch with one. We do not know if she has ever lived with a cat before nor can we guarantee that things won’t change once in a home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions she can coexist with cats. Sporty will be best placed in a home with a backyard in a calmer residential environment and with other moderately playful dogs that know when to take breaks just like she does. She is treat motivated which will make any continued trained a breeze. She is also smart too! Sporty already knows how to sit and lay down. To our knowledge, she is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in a home. We are willing to test Sporty Spice with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. **Fostered in Tacoma, WA, and ready for meet & greets!** 🐾 Meet Kawasaki! 🐾 Meet Kawasaki, a handsome boy who will fill your life with joy and excitement! Making his way to you, this cute lab/pitty mix puppy is on track to be the large companion, potentially reaching over 80 lbs as he grows into his paws—though, as with all things in rescue, that's just an educated guess! Kawasaki is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, where he's made friends with a pack of three dogs. He's crate-trained and nearly perfect with his house training. He's even started to communicate when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining, showing just how smart he is by also mastering bell training. Playful, sweet, and endlessly curious, Kawasaki occasionally indulges in a bit of counter surfing, but his treat motivation makes continued training a breeze. He's currently living with two teenage boys and fits right in, acting like just one of the guys. Plus, he's excellent in the car, making him the ideal companion for errand runs and road trips. Since Kawasaki is still a young pup, he needs a family ready to commit to his training and socialization. His new family will need to keep up with his potty and crate training and ensure he gets plenty of exercise. Adoptive families should be ready to help him perfect his leash skills, making him a fantastic partner for neighborhood walks and scenic hikes. Get ready for a life filled with affection, as Kawasaki will repay your love and dedication with lots of puppy kisses and loyal companionship. Kawasaki might be your perfect match if you're looking for a big hunk of love to add to your family! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/656e15bedf9fe6a8b503a29f Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
🐾 Meet Comet! 🐾 Introducing Comet, a delightful bundle of joy who's the friendliest of his siblings and believed to be a mixed breed. While his exact lineage is a fun mystery in the rescue world, one thing is for sure: Comet is adorable and full of love. Residing in one of the most overcrowded shelter areas in Houston, Comet and his siblings face urgent challenges, with many puppies at risk of euthanasia due to space constraints. By adopting Comet, you're not only giving him a chance at a happy life but also helping to save another precious life in need. Comet's sweet and affectionate nature makes him a cuddle enthusiast; he loves being petted and held close. Not only is he incredibly loving, but Comet is also sharp and quick to catch on to routines, making him one of the smartest of his litter. His playful spirit shines as he enjoys frolicking with his siblings and larger dogs, showcasing his friendly personality. A true toy aficionado, Comet cheats on his favorite toys and often snuggles up with them and at least one sibling in his kennel at night. He and his siblings are good with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him an excellent addition to any family dynamic. The puppies are kennel trained and are progressing well with house training, thanks to structured meal times and the use of puppy pads overnight. As Comet is still young, he will thrive in a home committed to his continued training and socialization. His new family must continue his house and crate training, provide daily exercise, and guide him as he grows into a well-balanced dog. A commitment to crate training is essential for his development. Adopting Comet means welcoming endless affection and joy into your home. He's ready to fill your days with playful energy and loving kisses. If you're looking for a faithful companion to join you on walks, hikes, and showcases around the neighborhood, Comet is eager to start that adventure with you. Are you ready to let this loving pup comet into your life and heart with his unconditional love and puppy kisses? 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/655ccdf909efba6765014e64 Please email michelleboswell@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
If you don’t already love large puppies, THIS puppy (and his brothers) will convert you to be their number one fan. Austin and his siblings are true gentle giants, or they will be when they finish growing (they’re still very young). Their personalities and attitudes are amazing – Austin is calm and patient, gentle and delicate, and absolutely adores your attention and presence in the most non-demanding way. Austin is happiest just being next to you, and having a stuffie (or three) is absolutely mandatory. He is determined to play with them all at the same time. This mellow guy is a bit cautious at first, but it doesn’t take long for this trusting pup to warm up to new people. Austin is happy and affectionate, but he sure has perfected the classic mournful puppy dog eyes. Add that to his adorable forehead wrinkles and sometimes baleful side-eye and you simply can’t resist his clever charm. We tested Austin with our clinic cat and he was cautiously interested and willing to be buddies, so it’s no surprise that he’s cat-friendly. Austin is a light tan colour (the lightest of the three brothers) with black accents, and has a bit more black on his tail. He has blonde on his shoulders that make give him some very pretty ‘wings’. But the best part is that he has an amazing heart-shaped marking around his face. Surely that tells you everything you need to know? This entire litter is so affectionate and loving! Austin is currently just over 6 months old and 48 pounds. His paws are large and we think he has some more growing to do. We think he is a Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one of the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Austin is still young so he will need a family that can commit to continue training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
