Story
Jasper is a 7-year-old Black Lab. He enjoys going on runs, hiking and being with his people. He would rather be with his people, laying at their feet than anything else. He does not mind other dogs but would rather sniff around when out and about. We have to re-home him because as a puppy he was allowed in the house, but as he has grown we can no longer keep him in the house (because of allergies), and he does not like being alone outside.

Story
Luna is a three-year-old black Lab mix with a gentle spirit and so much love to give. This affectionate girl is happiest wherever her people are and will gladly settle in for a good cuddle.Luna is also one smart pup! She knows how to sit, stay, shake, hop into the car when asked, and even balance a treat on her nose. She is generally quiet but will politely alert you when someone arrives at the door. Her favorite things include swimming in the pond, carrying sticks, and spending time with the people she loves. Fetch, however, remains a mystery. Why would anyone throw away a perfectly good ball and expect her to retrieve it?Luna plays gently with other dogs and has a kind, sensitive nature. She would likely thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show her the routines and rules of her new home.If you are looking for an affectionate, intelligent companion who will stay close by your side, Luna may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Charlie, a 9-year-old Lab mix with a heart of gold and just a touch of “stranger danger” at first glance. He might start off a little shy—think “awkward first date energy”—but give him a minute (and maybe a kind word or two), and he’ll be your new best friend before you know it. Charlie is basically the social butterfly of the dog world when it comes to other pups—he gets along great with dogs and even gives cats a respectful nod. He’s fully trained (yes, he’s got manners and brains), thanks to Pawsitive Dog Training School, and his future family will get 12 free private lessons to keep the good vibes going. Charlie may be 9 but he 😬IS NOT AWARE😬 he needs an ⚡️active home⚡️ that’s down to workout w this lil big booty boi. he is good w dogs (he usually prefers they’re smaller than him) and his foster thinks w proper intro he could do well w cats too! for sure though charlie says noooo ty future bestie to a home w any human children🙅‍♂️ char is also great at couch lounging, or just wandering around the house pretending to be productive. His motto? “If you’re there, I’m there.” He’s fantastic off-leash, loves being part of whatever you’re doing, and is truly just happy to be by your side. Charlie is ready to trade in his “temporary digs” for a forever home filled with love, companionship, and maybe a few treats (okay, definitely treats). If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, slightly goofy companion who will warm your heart daily—Charlie’s been waiting just for you🐾

*** Waylon is NOT in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. We are assisting his current owners in rehoming him. If you are interested in Waylon, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform *** Breed: Mixed (7 breeds) Age: 4 years old (DOB 11/29/20) Health: Neutered, vaccinated, and in excellent health Location: Bellingham, WA ❤️ About Waylon Waylon is a gentle, soulful dog with a heart of gold. Rescued from a Montana reservation at just 12 weeks old, he survived a harsh winter with only two of his littermates. Because of this early hardship, he’s both deeply loyal and understandably sensitive. He’s affectionate and loving once he feels safe, and enjoys quiet companionship and long moments watching the stars beside his favorite humans. When he trusts you, he’s goofy, devoted, and full of heart. 🌿 Ideal Home Waylon thrives with space, peace, and consistency. The perfect home for him would have: Land or acreage where he can roam freely and safely. No neighboring dogs sharing a fence, as he’s protective of his space. A calm environment without the constant noise of the city or frequent visitors. Another friendly, balanced dog he can play and coexist with. No young children under 10, as sudden noise or fast movements can overwhelm him. He’s happiest in a rural or semi-rural home where he can explore, relax, and feel secure. 🐕 Personality and Behavior Waylon is a sweet but cautious dog. He can be: Reactive when startled or encountering unfamiliar dogs. Anxious in chaotic or noisy settings. Playful once he knows and trusts other dogs. Affectionate but independent, appreciating his personal space and quiet time. His reactivity comes from fear, not aggression — with patience and understanding, his loving, loyal side shines through. He bonds deeply with those who give him consistency and calm. 🏡 Why He Needs a New Home With a new baby in the house, the increased activity and noise have made it difficult for Waylon to feel fully comfortable. He deserves a peaceful home where he can relax and thrive again. 🌟 Waylon’s Wishlist Room to roam freely The ability to go outside when he wants No shared-fence neighbor dogs Hikes through woods or near water Fetch a couple of times per day A dog friend to play with A comfortable couch or bed to curl up on 🧡 Summary Waylon is a sensitive, loyal companion with endless love to give. He just needs a peaceful environment, open space, and a patient, understanding person who values quiet moments and steady companionship. If you’re looking for a devoted dog who will walk beside you, watch the stars with you, and love you deeply once you’ve earned his trust, Waylon may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Bjorn! This handsome 8-month-old pup is everything you could want in a best friend wrapped up in one adorable package. We believe he’s a Black Lab mix, and with his soft floppy ears, warm honey-brown eyes, and sleek black coat that shines chocolate brown in the sunlight, he’s impossible not to fall in love with. Bjorn is currently thriving in a loving foster home where his personality has truly blossomed. His foster family says he is the sweetest boy who loves checking in on his people throughout the day. While they’re working, he’ll gently stand up and rest his front paws on their arms just to say hello. It’s his own adorable way of making sure everyone is doing okay. Watch Bjorn’s video here! https://youtu.be/bGlNwXO5V2Y?si=Q0bAb6S9YzIRjsov When he needs a little extra love, Bjorn will happily trot over, let out the cutest little whine, and ask to be picked up for a hug. After about fifteen seconds of cuddles, he’s ready to hop back down and continue exploring or playing. He’s the perfect mix of affectionate and independent. Bjorn gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys having canine friends around. He loves running, playing, exploring the backyard, and following the other dogs on their adventures. He would likely do best with another friendly, confident dog who can continue showing him the ropes and help him build confidence in new situations. This smart little guy is mostly crate trained and potty trained, is very food motivated, and loves learning. He has no food aggression and happily shares space with the other dogs. One of his favorite places to relax is tucked under a desk while his foster works or cozied up under the bed, where he has created his own little “cave.” In the mornings, he’ll hop onto the bed to gently wake everyone up when it’s time for a potty break. Bjorn can be a little shy when meeting brand-new people or experiencing new places, but once he knows he’s safe, his loving personality shines through. His foster says he’s already growing more confident every day. He enjoys curling up in laps during movie nights and simply being close to the people he loves. As a young puppy who didn’t have much early socialization, he’s still discovering that the world is a pretty great place, and it’s been wonderful watching his confidence grow. Because he’s still building confidence, Bjorn would do best in a patient home that will continue introducing him to new experiences at his own pace. He’d likely do best with children around 10 years and older who can respect his gentle nature. His cat test showed he was fearful and avoidant rather than interested, so any introductions to cats should be slow and thoughtfully managed. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal puppy who will make you smile with his gentle check-ins, adorable hugs, playful spirit, and loving heart, Bjorn might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to find the family who will help him continue growing into the confident, happy dog he’s meant to be. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
