Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Carly is a sweet, thoughtful little girl with a playful streak. She’s the kind of puppy who likes to take everything in, then jump right into the fun once she is comfortable. Curious and gentle, she has a cuddly, affectionate nature and would love a home where she can grow into a confident, loyal companion-whether that's through playtime, or quiet moments by your side. Important Information for New Puppy Parents   Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog,  dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential .   We  strongly recommend that the  entire family  participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.   **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families!  Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 13, 2026, 9:15 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yes, our beautiful Rosie likes cats!    Rosie was adopted and returned to PRBJ when her owner was unable to provide the right kind of enviornment to thrive in. Her owner originally was working from home which was perfect, but when she was needed in the office a few days a week, Rosie could not handle being left alone.  Unfortunately, Rosie does have severe seperation anxiety, and even with medication, was unable to handle being left alone. Rosie is not fond of dogs but she does like cats Potential adopters, please keep in mind that Rosie can easily jump a 6-foot fence if she is left alone. If you do have a fenced-in back yard you will need to supervise her at all times when she is out there playing. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 11, 2025, 9:14 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Harmony Harmony is a beautiful young Labrador/Plott Hound mix, and she has a story that tugged at our hearts. She was adopted earlier this year but was sadly returned to us after her owner passed away. Through no fault of her own, Harmony is once again looking for a loving forever home. Harmony is a strong, energetic 1 year old pup who is still learning her manners and leash skills. She hasn’t had a lot of formal training yet, so she will need a dedicated adopter or family who is willing to invest the time, patience, and consistency to help her become the best dog she can be. With the right guidance, Harmony has all the potential to truly shine. An active home would be ideal for Harmony. She would love long walks, hikes, or even jogging with her person to help burn off her energy in a positive way. She is friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs, which could be a great bonus for a home with a confident canine companion.    Important Information for New Puppy Parents Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Princess — a sweet lab mix looking for a quiet forever home    Princess’s story: Princess was sadly abandoned in an apartment, but a kind Good Samaritan fed and cared for her until we could help. She arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy in rough shape — desperate for veterinary attention. She was immediately taken to Healthy Pets, where Dr. Pinzon and his team put together a treatment plan for severe flea dermatitis and related skin infections. Princess is healing, feeling better every day, and ready to spend her golden years in a calm, loving home.  What Princess is like  Gentle and people-loving — she truly adores human attention. Enjoys quiet companionship and calm routines. Not a fan of other dogs or puppies (we tested her with both — it’s a no-go), so she must be the only pet in the household. Best in an adult-only home or a home with older children where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement.  Medical status  Received immediate veterinary care at Healthy Pets under Dr. Pinzon’s treatment plan. Currently doing well and on the mend from severe flea dermatitis and skin infections. (Ongoing vet follow-up as recommended by Healthy Pets.)    Ideal adopter  You’ll be a patient, loving person or family who:   Can give Princess one-pet-only attention and a calm environment. Prefers a quieter household (adults or older children). Is ready to provide gentle, consistent care as she continues to enjoy her golden years.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 14, 2026, 5:15 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Duke –  Ready for His Next Chapter Formerly known as Thunder, Duke was originally adopted from Pet Rescue by Judy five years ago. Life was good with his loving family — until unexpected health issues meant they had to make the heartbreaking decision to return him to us. Now, Duke is once again looking for a forever home where he can continue being the loyal, affectionate dog he’s always been.    About Duke:   Housebroken and crate trained – he knows the rules and loves routine. MUST be the ONLY dog in the home Stong on leash,  — he’ll need an owner who can confidently handle his size. A playful pup at heart, he enjoys daily walks, yard time, and being part of the action. Currently managing a thyroid condition — all it takes is a simple medication (just two tablets a day) to keep him healthy and feeling his best. On a weight-loss journey, and doing great having lost approximately 30 pounds — he is just a little under 100 lbs now.  Duke  will need a dedicated adopter who can help keep him active and on track.    Due to his size and his limited time with children we are recommending an adult only home or one with older teens.
