She arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy in rough shape — desperate for veterinary attention. She was immediately taken to Healthy Pets, where Dr. Pinzon and his team put together a treatment plan for severe flea dermatitis and related skin infections. Princess is healing, feeling better every day, and ready to spend her golden years in a calm, loving home. What Princess is like Gentle and people-loving — she truly adores human attention. Enjoys quiet companionship and calm routines. Not a fan of other dogs or puppies (we tested her with both — it’s a no-go), so she must be the only pet in the household. Best in an adult-only home or a home with older children where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement. Medical status Received immediate veterinary care at Healthy Pets under Dr. Pinzon’s treatment plan. Currently doing well and on the mend from severe flea dermatitis and skin infections. Rosie was adopted and returned to PRBJ when her owner was unable to provide the right kind of enviornment to thrive in. Her owner originally was working from home which was perfect, but when she was needed in the office a few days a week, Rosie could not handle being left alone. Unfortunately, Rosie does have severe seperation anxiety, and even with medication, was unable to handle being left alone. Rosie is not fond of dogs but she does like cats Potential adopters, please keep in mind that Rosie can easily jump a 6-foot fence if she is left alone. He and his brother/friend Tom Sawyer had many adventures, after being dumped in the woods and left to die. This poor boy was beyond skinny, full of worms, fleas and high heartworm positive. But fret not! He has doubled his weight, been fully vetted and intestinal parasite free. He is 2yo and weighs 33 lbs. We think he may be a lab/hound mix. Huck Finn is on the slow kill protocol for his heartworm positive status, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. He can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. This sweet boy walks well on a leash, is doing great with house training and loves his crate. He's definitely a hound and loves to track, like his brother. He's probably not a great candidate for a cat sibling, but loves his rooster friend. If you would like to meet this boy, he's ready to give all his love. Huck Finn needs a secure fenced yard to run in. If no fenced yard, then he needs plenty of exercise every day to help burn his energy. He also knows how to chill and snuggle with his person.
