Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Princess — a sweet lab mix looking for a quiet forever home    Princess’s story: Princess was sadly abandoned in an apartment, but a kind Good Samaritan fed and cared for her until we could help. She arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy in rough shape — desperate for veterinary attention. She was immediately taken to Healthy Pets, where Dr. Pinzon and his team put together a treatment plan for severe flea dermatitis and related skin infections. Princess is healing, feeling better every day, and ready to spend her golden years in a calm, loving home.  What Princess is like  Gentle and people-loving — she truly adores human attention. Enjoys quiet companionship and calm routines. Not a fan of other dogs or puppies (we tested her with both — it’s a no-go), so she must be the only pet in the household. Best in an adult-only home or a home with older children where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement.  Medical status  Received immediate veterinary care at Healthy Pets under Dr. Pinzon’s treatment plan. Currently doing well and on the mend from severe flea dermatitis and skin infections. (Ongoing vet follow-up as recommended by Healthy Pets.)    Ideal adopter  You’ll be a patient, loving person or family who:   Can give Princess one-pet-only attention and a calm environment. Prefers a quieter household (adults or older children). Is ready to provide gentle, consistent care as she continues to enjoy her golden years.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 14, 2025, 4:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yes, our beautiful Rosie likes cats!    Rosie was adopted and returned to PRBJ when her owner was unable to provide the right kind of enviornment to thrive in. Her owner originally was working from home which was perfect, but when she was needed in the office a few days a week, Rosie could not handle being left alone.  Unfortunately, Rosie does have severe seperation anxiety, and even with medication, was unable to handle being left alone. Rosie is not fond of dogs but she does like cats Potential adopters, please keep in mind that Rosie can easily jump a 6-foot fence if she is left alone. If you do have a fenced-in back yard you will need to supervise her at all times when she is out there playing. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 11, 2025, 9:14 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Melody and her 10 day old pups came to PRBJ from an overcrowded rescue in Georgia that did not have any indoor facilities for this little family.  They made the road trip to Central FL in search of their forever homes.  Harmony is playful and has tons of energy.  She needs leash training  and very active family to give her that extra exercise   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 25, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Duke –  Ready for His Next Chapter Formerly known as Thunder, Duke was originally adopted from Pet Rescue by Judy five years ago. Life was good with his loving family — until unexpected health issues meant they had to make the heartbreaking decision to return him to us. Now, Duke is once again looking for a forever home where he can continue being the loyal, affectionate dog he’s always been.    About Duke:   Housebroken and crate trained – he knows the rules and loves routine. MUST be the ONLY dog in the home Stong on leash,  — he’ll need an owner who can confidently handle his size. A playful pup at heart, he enjoys daily walks, yard time, and being part of the action. Currently managing a thyroid condition — all it takes is a simple medication (just two tablets a day) to keep him healthy and feeling his best. On a weight-loss journey, and doing great having lost approximately 30 pounds — he is just a little under 100 lbs now.  Duke  will need a dedicated adopter who can help keep him active and on track.    Due to his size and his limited time with children we are recommending an adult only home or one with older teens. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 24, 2025, 1:51 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Mathers the IV — The Real Pup Shady “Look… if you had… one shot… one opportunity… to meet the coolest glow-up underdog of North Florida… would you take it?” Mathers didn’t grow up on 8 Mile, but his early life in North Florida had its own kind of gritty soundtrack. Found as a stray at just two months old, this little rap prodigy got scooped up by a shelter and then transferred to a training facility. He got a solid foundation there, but it was still a kennel-life grind — and for 7 out of his 9 months on earth, that’s all he knew. So yeah… The Real Pup Shady came out understandably cautious of the big, overwhelming outside world.&#226&#128&#168 But don’t get it twisted — this boy isn’t broken. He’s rewriting his story, bar by bar. Since moving into foster with a local trainer, Mathers has been taking on the world like a true comeback king. Every day he’s dropping Brave Boy Bars™, slowly learning that new things aren’t scary — they’re just part of his debut album called “The Glow-Up.” And he is KILLING it. His Crew (AKA other animals) • Dogs? He LOVES them — big, small, fluffy, spicy… doesn’t matter. • Cats? He’s so polite you’d think he’s trying to win a Grammy for Best Gentleman in a Supporting Role. His Fans (AKA humans) Mathers has met people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. He needs a minute to warm up — he’s still learning how to speak “human” — but once he does, he becomes a cuddle-heavy, heart-melting, stage-diving lovebug. The Basics: Healthy • Neutered • Microchipped • Walks great on leash • Working on crate training & potty training • Building a strong recall • Smart, thoughtful and ridiculously cool • Comes with FREE ongoing training & support   The Perfect Home:  This rising star thrives with a medium-to-large confident dog who can show him the ropes — a hype buddy for his journey. Someone with experience with nervous pups would be ideal to keep the beat going and help him finish this transformation from shy stray to full-on superstar. We are not requiring a fenced yard for him, but his adopters must be active, taking him on walks and keeping him socialized. If you’re ready to give Mathers the IV the one shot, one opportunity he deserves… &#226&#128&#168Step into the spotlight. The Real Pup Shady is ready to stand up. If you live in the the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Mathers, please complete and app and tell us more about you.   December 25, 2025, 1:00 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Foster or adopter needed!   Meet Huck Finn! This sweet boy is part of the dog version of the human kind. He and his brother/friend Tom Sawyer had many adventures, after being dumped in the woods and left to die. This poor boy was beyond skinny, full of worms, fleas and high heartworm positive. But fret not! He has doubled his weight, been fully vetted and intestinal parasite free. He is 2yo and weighs 33 lbs.  We think he may be a lab/hound mix.  Huck Finn is on the slow kill protocol for his heartworm positive status, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. He can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. This sweet boy walks well on a leash, is doing great with house training and loves his crate. He's definitely a hound and loves to track, like his brother.  He's probably not a great candidate for a cat sibling, but loves his rooster friend.  If you would like to meet this boy, he's ready to give all his love. Huck Finn needs a secure fenced yard to run in. If no fenced yard, then he needs plenty of exercise every day to help burn his energy. He also knows how to chill and snuggle with his person. If you believe you have the perfect home for this super sweet boy, and you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, please complete and app and tell us more about your family.  December 22, 2025, 3:00 pm
