Story
Jacob is a lab beagle mix who loves like no other. My husband has put many hours into training him and it has really paid off! He loves to play ball, chew on Kong toys and play in the water. Dog parks and the woods are his favorite! He knows how to shake hands (we say "paw) and he knows how to catch a ball when you throw it straight up. He enjoys chasing rabbits, squirrels and birds. He's crate trained but can not have any bedding inside or he will chew it up. (His blankets and plush toys with squeakers are his only known enemies that he must destroy.) He's a good looking great dog!

Story
We found this good boy on a highway in rural TN. We have checked all over for his owners-called vets, shelters, talked to neighbors, posted online, checked for a microchip-with no luck. We have had him for almost a week, and although he is very sweet, we already have a dog and cannot keep him forever. He is very well mannered and friendly, although seems unfamiliar with home living. He occasionally tries to pee inside, and doesn't like to be crated. He seems unfamiliar with toys and treats, we assume he was an outdoor dog who didn't get much attention. He spends most of his time sleeping and following us around the house. He walks on a leash pretty well and enjoys going for jogs! He is very mellow and gets along great with our dog. We wanted to reach out before taking him to a shelter, as the only local one his a high-volume kill shelter.

Story
Kobe is an affectionate, 4 yr old who was denied proper nutrition, vet care, and socialization for most of his young life. He was badly injured in November '22 and when the owner learned how expensive the necessary surgery would be, he surrendered the dog to me. I have been amazed at how Kobe's personality has blossomed since receiving love and attention. He is quite the charmer and will quickly present his belly for a good rub! While he does still have some activity restrictions, Kobe is doing well and should be back to full activity in the coming weeks. I have never trained a dog but I believe he will learn quickly from someone who knows what they're doing. He does understand SIT and is food-motivated when training. I have cats and a yard that is not secure, so he cannot stay with me. Kobe is very calm inside and just wants to be loved. He has come so far in learning to trust and enjoy people and I do not want him living in a kennel. Can you please give Kobe a good home??

Story
Todd is a great dog. He is crate trained, house trained and great with kids. He is great around smaller dogs but nervous around big dogs. We recently moved and he so terribly misses being outside. He likes to be inside but would be completely happy outside. Would like for him yo go somewhere with a fenced in yard or a lot of land. He needs lot of physical activity as he is only 18 months old.

Story
Have only had Parker 2 weeks. Previous owner really knew very little about him. Took him to McKamey and got his shots and microchipped. Have an appointment at ChattNeuter on July 3rd but can cancel it if new owner wants to make their own arrangements. Needs some training but is housebroken, sits when asked, walks easy on a leash. We are an elderly couple and he is a little to much for us. Likes to chase squirrels in the yard. Does well at dog park.

Story
Meet Millie! Millie is a lab mix that was found malnourished on the side of the road. She jumped into my car without hesitation. I figured this had to be someone's baby because she loves car rides, is spayed, and likes to cuddle on the couch. Alas, after two years (yes two!) of looking diligently, we have been unable to find her family. Millie has a bad habit of jumping our six foot fence and running for hours chasing squirrels and rabbits. She always returns home, but has caused us a bit of a problem since we live in a subdivision. She truly has wanderlust. She would best be served as a pet for someone who has acreage. Millie is truly a sweet dog. She is house broken and up to date on all her shots. She receives regular flea and tick, and heart worm prevention. Millie does well with our two other dogs. She has been friendly to children and babies; her favorite place to sleep is under our son's bed.
